It is a very secluded and private spot.
We had a great stay, thank you, and it was a very spacious place. The room with the single beds that become one big bed just needs to be replaced, because they sleep a bit badly. But other than that, everything was lovely, and we had a great stay, thank you.

Excellent location, nice area, friendly and professional. My second time staying there and definitely not the last. I'm in love with nature, there are little monkeys in the trees. Quiet for those who want to get away from the city's noise. My room pleasantly surprised me and seemed bigger to me than it was in the photos.
Cycasia Lodge is nestled within the foliage of the Natal Coast and so all that you can hear is the sound of the ocean and the chirping of birds and insects alike. The lodge is not even 5 minutes from the beach. They give you your own set of keys so you don't have to worry about sticking to a curfew or annoying anyone to open up for you. You are provided with everything you need for set catering, including a washing machine which was appreciated. The place is very clean and the grounds and pool are well kept.
Thanks to Gill and Melanie and also to the other staff. We had a great stay and the apartment had everything we needed. A quiet, safe place. I would recommend the place to anyone anytime. Yes, it's also near any shops. Thank you.

Toilet need door, to avoid bad smell around the room.
It was very basic and not easy to find. Very clean and neat! Needs a bell at the main gate to advise that you are wanting to enter or depart. Stood waiting for 15 minutes until we could get in.

It's the ideal place to relax, no TV, no WiFi, good cell phone reception. Close enough to the sea, but not walking distance. Nice and quiet around a massive large yard. Can host up to 30 people on site.

The place was very neat and so spacious. Everyone had a wonderful time. The beach was also a short drive away.
Cycasia is picture-perfect and the owners are hospitable. We were spoiled with the honeymoon suite. You can grill your meat in the silence of the sea and birds in the background.
The photos look much better than the reality, but it's also no cover for parking.
The room can do with a deep clean. Linen should be fresh and beds made neatly. On the whole the place needs a general face-lift and a bit of maintenance. There are beams and an alarm system but no fence. Hence safety can be a bit of a concern.
We were a group of 14, we absolutely enjoyed every minute. Our rooms and bathrooms were clean. We really felt safe. Jill kept in contact the entire weekend making sure that we're okay. The view from our bedrooms were of the huge garden, which was totally magnificent! Cycasia Lodge is a true hidden gem! Thank you Jill.

Description
The unit can accommodate 6 adults. The main house contains 3 bedrooms, or 4 if the Honeymoon Suite is included. The first bedroom is furnished with a king-size bed while the second bedroom has 2 single beds which can be made into a king-size bed on request. These 2 rooms share a full bathroom and a separate toilet. The third bedroom is a bunk room and sleeps 2 adults or 4 small children. This room has use of an additional toilet and shower. The house has a fully equipped, granite kitchen with a separate scullery, and an open-plan lounge and dining area. The living area opens to a covered verandah with built-in braai facilities and outdoor dining furniture that seats 8 to 12 people comfortably. The braai area overlooks the swimming pool. The house and flat are joined by an internal staircase if required for a large group.
The house can be split into 3 self-contained units, a 2-sleeper main bedroom, an 6 sleeper main house, and a 4-sleeper flatlet on the upper level. Each has its own kitchen facilities. When all 3 of these units are combined, up to 14 guests, 10 adults and 4 children, can be accommodated.
Also available are 4 adjacent, 2-sleeper garden units with a shared verandah. These units also have their own kitchenettes. Units 1 and 4 can have an additional bed added for 1 child or adult.
The top flat above the house, has distant sea views over treetops. The house, flat and Honeymoon suite have a large entertainment and pool area, as well as a sunken garden that can be used for functions or weddings. Ideal for large family groups who want their own space but to be together. Free WiFi is available.
