These charming cottages date back to the 1800's and combine authentic Karoo style and ambience with modern comfort. Accommodation comprises 6 units, suited to accommodate between 2 to 4 guests, each room has an en-suite bathroom fitted with either, both bath and shower, or just a shower. All the bathrooms have their own amenities, white linen and towels. Beautifully restored and furnished with antiques, the units face each other and is located in one of the most quiet and picturesque streets of the town.
Each cottage has its own private garden, and all the rooms are air conditioned. We offer Dstv, free Wi-Fi and safe off-street parking. Our rate includes a full Karoo breakfast with cereals, yoghurt and fruit. We have swimming facilities in our borehole fed dam, swings and spacious lawn for kiddies.
This property is now equipped with a fully functional, eco-friendly solar system for generating electricity during loadshedding.
The town centre is within walking distance of the property where guests can make dinner reservations at any one the variety of restaurants. As the Gem of the Karoo, the town warrants a two night stop-over.

13 guests' feedbackWe were so glad we chose Cypress Cottage No 80 as accommodation. It is a beautiful place, neat and clean and comfortable.
On our road trip of 6 different overnight destinations, I can honestly say Cypress Cottage had the warmth and friendliness of the hostess that no one else could match. The room was neat and stylish from a typical Old Cape era. The breakfast, delicious. Loadshedding in the area caused no WiFi to be available.
We were received like (popular) family and my dogs were equally welcome. I really can't find fault and can't complain about anything. Although we have not confirmed whether reservations should be made for our restaurant, the management has made a tentative reservation for us at a popular restaurant anyway. I would love to stay there again in the future.

Nice and neat with secure parking and friendly staff. However, there is also another cottage across the street that is not clearly highlighted on the site. We were put into it and were disappointed as it did not look as we expected.
Beautiful, historic house that is well equipped with spacious, neat and clean rooms.
We were waited on, rooms were ready and made deliciously cool against the karoo heat. A place at a delicious restaurant was booked on our behalf. Breakfast (included in price) was top notch.
Friendly reception and very clean. They also reserved a spot at a restaurant for the next morning while we were still on our way there. Will definitely stay there again.
It was a wonderful experience. The house is beautiful, the location is great and the service we received from Hollary is top quality.
Hilary make us fell most welcome. She quickly heated up our bedroom and beds. Apart from being an immaculate B&B with an homely atmosphere, lovely flowers, beautiful garden and homemade produce added to the breakfast, Jacques and I rate Cypress as one of the most pleasant accommodations we have experienced.
A delightful cottage. Staff were all very friendly. A very pleasant location.
