Can't complain about anything, was spotless, exactly as in the photo. Very nice place. Friendly staff. I would recommend that place to anyone.
The customer service was really good and the place is good. Although some spring cleaning will make it even much better.
There are always 1 or 2 small things that can be improved, but the place is very cute and we would easily stay there again.
Needless to say, would use Daai Plek again anytime.

I would definitely recommend it. We had a very nice stay.
I would advise that the tiles at the main house entrance and backroom be changed to non-slip, those tiles pose a serious danger when wet, I nearly slipped and bashed my head as I was leaving to go to the car. The kitchen sink in the main house leaks into the cupboards so I had to put a cloth there every time the dishes were washed. Other than that the place was very lovely.

My family was looking for a convenient, self catering accommodation, we took two cottages/rooms, the rooms were newly renovated, clean and comfortable. The pool area was being renovated whilst we were there and looks amazing. Antoinette was very accommodating and super friendly. Absolutely will be going back.
We are a family of 4, with children aged 8 and 6 and our first time in Richards Bay. We stayed in the apartment next to the house for 2 weeks over the Christmas and New Year season. The place is about a 15 minute drive from the beach and harbour, far enough from the busy areas of Richards Bay, and perfect for us over the festive season. There was enough parking for everyone and the garden and vegetation were particularly beautiful. We had our own separate braai and social area and were very private from the people next door in the house. The apartment is open plan (as explained to us), so no separate bedrooms, only a separate bathroom, ideal for us and how we like to holiday as a family. The swimming pool was a highlight for our children and was clean and tidy and beautiful among the vegetation. Lots of humidity, so the aircon and fans above our beds were a lifesaver, especially in the evenings. Very friendly and pleasant woman who cleaned our place. Definitely a place where we would like to holiday again! Thank you for sharing your place with us.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We had a very nice unit, peaceful , quiet and safe. Antoinette allowed us to have our children who are staying in Richards Bay visit and braai with us allowing them use of the swimming pool as well. A big spoil. Thank you. Perhaps some attention to minor details, i.e. a bedside reading lamp, and perhaps a bedside carpet, would have definitely changed our four points to 5's.
The unit's door cannot lock and at the same time there was construction on the porch. The unit has an internal door to another unit where contractors stayed. They started making noise at 5 o'clock every morning so we didn't rest at all. The unit is neat, but the construction, noise and the unit not being able to lock was just too much.
We were very pleased with the accommodation at Daai Plek. Everything was clean and tidy. The cottage is convenient for a family with a young child or children. Cleaners cleaned daily. The braai place is convenient; It will be good if the braai area is cleaned daily.

Everything is so clean and tidy and you just feel at home. The accommodation is fully equipped. We were unexpectedly but happily upgraded by the owner as another spot was open. The only negative aspect, from the other guests, they had their own guests over and we couldn't use parking and swimming area.

Hubby and I enjoyed our stay at the establishment as it was so peaceful and quiet. Room was very clean, comfortable and the staff very friendly! I will recommend Daai Plek Holiday Home to all my friends and family when ever they need a "home away from home" in Richards Bay! Pity we did not have enough time due to the wedding we attended, but next time I will make sure we swim in the sparkling pool! A big thank you for the milk, coffee and sugar supplied as we needed the caffeine the next morning!
Nice for a weekend.
The room was clean and tidy. There was not a noise. Oms could come and go without any problems. Unfortunately there was no free WiFi. even though the ad said there was. Furthermore, we find no fault.

I really enjoyed my time there. It was nice and quiet, but still close enough to the town and shops. The room, kitchen and bathroom were all very clean and tidy, the air con and roof fan helped a lot. I also felt very safe there. The only thing that didn't work was the WiFi, but it didn't bother me much. I would stay there again anytime, and would recommend it to people looking for very good value for money.
Room is dirty, walls are dirty, full of dust, has a horrible smell, fridge is full of water. People are noisy, pool is dirty, was not at all like in the photos. Very disappointed.

We found the accommodation to be very well looked after, efficient and neat. It is very well located.
Daai Plek Holiday Home caters for the needs of the experienced traveler or holidaymaker; either for a overnight stop or long holiday for a week or two. KZN Northern coast friendliness and top-notch warmth and hospitality. Complimentary milk, coffee, sugar, Ouma-rusks etc. in the self-catering flatlet is a nice bonus. Felt right at home from arrival till departure. Daily neatness and hygiene is missing. There is an additional private self-catering flat and the main house is for the family. The communal swimming pool and lapa is clean and provides for relaxation. Shops, restaurants and petrol stations are just around the corner. No smoking in accommodation facilities and the silence really is a winner. Daai Plek is of a high standard and a great benefit for LekkeSlaap. I will definitely recommend; especially if your looking for a peaceful and quiet place to relax. Antoinette and ST are stars and we will definitely see them again soon.

Daai Plek is a peaceful, quiet place where we had a wonderful time with our children, who live in Meerensee. The place is very neat and clean and met all our requirements. Futhi who cleaned and did our "laundry" is truly an asset and thanks also for her hard work and kindness. I would recommend that place to anyone.
Easy to find. Comfortable but insufficient lighting in bathroom and bedroom, especially for make-up applying. Plates do not fit into microwave-oven. However, will definitely return.

Daai Plek offers sufficient secure parking and anti-theft protection, which is a big plus. The accommodation is located in a very busy street. There is no name or street number visible on the fence. There is also no door bell at the security gate that gives access to the main building, in other words the member of staff on duty cannot hear when he is cleaning rooms behind. The towels are old and not replaced with clean towels during our stay from 24 to 28 June. It didn't smell very fresh anymore. The layout is practical and neat and the unit's decor, bed and bedding were good. I didn't see the owner at all. The staff member on duty was very helpful and friendly. The unit where we stayed needs a lot of attention, e.g. the gate to the unit's garden, the shower partition and sliding door of the bathroom as well as the bar stools in the kitchen were all broken.
We had a very nice stay. Would like to stay there again. Thank you for the good service.
