35 guests' feedbackI enjoyed my stay. Well received, and the receptionist was professional.
I enjoyed my stay immensely. We were warmly greeted upon arrival, and our bags were brought up to reception. We were very well received and shown to our room, which was spacious and clean. We had coffee and tea amenities in the room, hot water, and an AC to adjust the temperature. Upon request, the staff moved the two twin beds to create one. We loved our stay and ended up extending for 3 more days. We also requested another room just for a change of scenery, and that was done with great help and efficiency. We were also allowed unlimited coffee and tea in reception, with a free welcome drink. Ultimately, the staff is friendly and welcoming, and we loved our stay at Daddy Long Legs Art Hotel.
Top-notch staff who made our arrival feel very much at home. Stairs were a bit much, but at least we got some exercise. No parking, but we enjoyed Uber in the city more.
It was a good relaxed atmosphere and good value for money.
My stay at Daddy Long Legs Art Hotel was amazing. It always is. I love that the staff are so friendly and accommodating. I felt at home.
The hotel is ok, but the area is a bit on the unsafe side. The coffee was horrible, and the front desk clerk was very confused and listed my first name as my last name, so he originally couldn't get me a reservation.
Very dodgy part of town. Moved after night to a safer area.
Thank you for the kindness. Layout of the rooms is very artistically done and well planned. Many restaurants located nearby. Will go back again for sure. Thanks to the friendly staff.

Rooms are very small. Not dining facilities. Entrance is not properly signposted.
Will definitely come back soon.
The reception was very friendly. The decor was very interesting. Lovely balcony to enjoy your coffee. The accommodation is walking distance from pubs, restaurants. No secure parking, but car was fine on the street.
The rooms are very cute, the staff very helpful and the building full of stories.
The interior is dilapidated, shabby and definitely not value for money. When I compare the cost of R1350 with the previous night's stay in Stellenbosch for R650 I am amazed! The staff are very friendly and helpful but the whole setup is by no means consumer friendly.
The Hotel is clean and tidy, the people who work there are friendly and helpful, the location is fantastic.
Sleeping place had been a single bunk-bed, and not a double bed as said by the reception. I felt a little unsafe and kept my room door locked all the time.
What an amazing stay at the Daddy Long Legs Art Hotel, in the heart of the mother city. A special thank you to the guest assistant, Fahiem, with the friendly yet professional meet and greet and served with a welcome drink of your choice. I had the opportunity to view the available rooms, the art work is really fascinating. One could adapt to the theme when you enter the rooms. I'm looking forward to my welcome back.

Neat and clean, great location and the staff are very helpful.
Daddy Long Legs' staff are very professional and friendly. No safe parking available so just keep an eye on your car down the road.
It was OK, if they change little things, it would be better. No effort is put into breakfast, food items are served in Tupperware containers and the fruit salad was soggy. Glassware goes a long way. The people sleeping in the room text to us came in during morning hours and we could hear their entire conversation through the wall, if they walked on the wooden floor our bed vibrated. Just unpleasant if you want to get away for a good night's sleep.
I would be able to recommend the place to people who need an overnight stay. It is also very conveniently located in the city center.
The room is extremely small with a bunk bed and small bathroom. There is no safe parking and the vehicles must be parked outside in the street in the city center for which one must pay an hourly fee after 8:00 in the morning. The rooms are not soundproof at all and you hear every sound from the rooms next door and above.
Interesting place. Clean and central. Communal fridge and microwave. Books. TV. Complimentary drinks on arrival. Loved it.
Staff were very friendly, helpful and accommodating towards our group of athletes who were only able to return to the hotel late. The setting is truly unique and the facilities comfortable and of a high standard.
Great rooms, my kids Loved Jerry the sailor Room. Really something different in the best possible way. Very friendly staff and nice setup. Parking is the only negative - They don't have any- So it's either parking in the street or a parade two blocks away. The parking attendance form the City of Cape town are relentless in their charges. Maybe the hotel could negotiated with city to allow its visitors some free time before they start their stop watches.
The location of the hotel is in central Cape Town, which is ideal, but be aware that it is close to many places to visit, so if your room faces the street, the noise may be a problem. The room was a bit neglected, the window wouldn't open and the blinds were broken, so we couldn't get any light in the room. The service was very friendly. For one night's overnight it was okay.
Had beter value for money in the past.
Daddy Long Legs is very well presented and it is interesting to know that the rooms each have a theme. It wasn't too pleasant for me because I struggled to get the entrance in the first place. When I did find it, there was no parking space and the car had to be parked outside across the street. The staff were very friendly and helpful. My room had a dirty cup in it and there was hair on the bed and in the bed that wasn't mine. The neighbors were making noise all the time next to and around me. It's something else, but I don't think I'll just sleep there again - didn't feel completely comfortable being a woman alone.
Would not simply recommend the Hotel. Doesn't look like the photos at all. Bathroom roof leaked when the room above us used their bathroom. The reception did not want to sell us soft drinks / water on Saturday night after 10h00, even though the fridge was at the counter - found it quite strange, but after some unpleasant facial expressions and sounds, did agree to sell 2 cans of soft drinks to us. Room with twin beds requested and double bed received. Also felt rather unsafe to park the rental car on the street, quite a lot of beggars etc. on the street.
Guests are noisy and inconsiderate to others staying there. Even after moving rooms the noise was horrific. When guests book in, they should be asked to refrain from jumping on beds and moving chairs continuously, slamming doors up to 8 times per hour and that the floors are wooden therefore noise travels and to consider other guests. Rooms were still not cleaned by midday after being out for the morning. Rooms are a lot smaller than advertised. The prices per room dropped by R200 p/n but when I booked I paid full price and no discounts given as per e-mails received of current discounts. We booked out a day early due to no sleep as after 5 nights of lack of sleep our moods were angered. The General Manager was the only helpful person there advising on sights to visits and changed our room on his suggestion. The smoke alarm went off due to shower steam and staff on duty accused us of smoking in the room - we are non smokers. There should be mention on your site that there are pubs and clubs going until early morning hours every day of the week. There is no water cooler, only coffee available in the reception area and the room water is not for human consumption. Welcome drinks were not given to us but the 1 night we had a coke each, it was charged to our bill. The free breakfasts were appreciated and delicious - thank you. We would not consider staying at Daddy Long Legs again.
The housekeeper needs to pay a little attention to guest requirements, and I heard something like a metal bar slamming on the building when it was windy but, having said that, the overall experience was wonderful. From the front desk staff, always smiling, free wifi to the coffee 24 hours, would recommend it to my friends and family.
Didn't quite know what to expect. Not bad, but not blown away by the place either. Feels more like an "Upmarket Backpackers" than a hotel. Was quite uneasy because there is no parking for one's car and we had to park our car in the street and the next morning when we left Cape Town at 05:00 we were approached by a bunch of people who all had something wanted or even wanted to stand there and flirt with me when I loaded my suitcase into the car.
Reception was nice but the area, location and structure of the hotel don't really correlate with what we got confronted with.
