39 guests' feedbackOh, we had a great time with my family and friends. The staff were friendly. The gate motor was not working at all. We had to close and open it ourselves for a few days. And the lights at the front entrance were not working.
Beautiful property, clean, comfortable beds. The lady looking after the property was very nice and helpful.
Disappointed - only 1 tumbler in the bathroom and it wasn't clean. Also, not sure if the bed linen/sheets were clean.
The stay was pleasant. However, false advertising: the jacuzzi was broken. The ad is advertised with breakfast but does not come with it. The place is so dirty, not clean at all. The wooden bathroom cover was broken and fell on my 2-year-old son. The fridge in the house is so dirty. The house was not swept at all nor mopped. The Wi-Fi is also bad in the house. For the price per night, it's not worth it at all.
Nothing worked, only one staff member to run the whole place, which is ridiculous and I feel sorry for her. The place is not being taken care of by the owner. Not sure if it was only my room but the shower door is broken, the TV is not working, no WiFi, which was not disclosed before choosing said room. When checking out of the guesthouse, we were told to just leave the keys inside, which is very unprofessional, not a staff member in sight. Will not recommend, photos look amazing but don't let this fool you.
Sadly not as well as anticipated. Room was not very clean - around the TV, shower edges, the only plug point, and small carpet were all dusty and dirty. Staff left their comb, hairbrush, and hair dryer out in the public area. The side table lampshade was broken and tried to be repaired with 3 plastic forks. The public area fridge was filthy and not cleaned. I wouldn't even store food in there. The public toilet lacked toilet paper for two days and clearly was not cleaned for the same duration. Sadly not a very comfortable stay.
Place has been allowed to be run down.
Friendly reception. Very safe. Everything you need if you have to go to a foreign province for business. Was disappointed that Jacuzzi didn't work as the kids would enjoy it, but other than that no complaints.
Cleanliness can be improved, under the bed it is terribly dirty, but the rest of the room and guest house were clean and tidy.
Please fix the Jacuzzi and better the Wi-Fi. Other than that, no complaints. And Lizzy is the best, thanks, you made us feel at home.
Their beds were worn and not comfortable to sleep on. Despite the beds, I felt very secure.
I was just surprised to find someone there and she was there at the lounge which was kind of awkward for us. Everything was limited from Fridge to cutlery , and was disappointed to find the jacuzzi not working.
We just needed a place to sleep and it met our needs.

I booked and payed for the Luxury room, but we were ushered into the Green room which is a family room and a cheaper option at R650. This green room is not at all what we paid for. Why is the Luxury room shown as costing R750, yet we were charged R850. The bedside lamp in the bedroom was broken. We could not get the TV to work. There was no plug where the lone kettle stood. I had to plug the kettle in on the table next to the bed. The bedside table was rickety. There were no cups, saucers, tea, coffee, etc. We couldn't have breakfast the next morning in the dining room because there was a 50th birthday party happening there the next day. We had to have the breakfast in our room on the bed. The breakfast wasn't great either. We weren't consulted about how we like our eggs done or whether we wanted white or brown toast. Who puts gherkins with an English breakfast? I felt like we were the forgotten guests, inconveniencing them by coming before the big event.
Dalcor is clean and tidy with everything you need and also get with a big smile. We were received with hospitality and after that it only got nicer. Lichelle is an exceptional hostess and thinks of everything a client might need. Liezbeth is not a cleaner, she is part of the family and guests. Stunning place and people. Parents and teenagers thoroughly enjoyed the weekend. We will definitely visit you again.
With the swimming pool and hot tub, we had a great weekend.

The accommodation is great and highly recommended.
This book (experience) can literally be judged by its cover - aesthetically pleasing and sincere customer care. Most accommodating with all our requests and our requirements and a hearty welcome. It felt as if we were visiting close family. Clean and spacious. Wish we could have stayed longer and will most definitely book them again in future.
We were treated well.
The Jacuzzi in our room did not work and the bath was leaking water. The bed lamp on the left side of the bed was broken. The swimming pool was dirty as well as the Jacuzzi next to the swimming pool. The refreshments you get with breakfast tasted like flavoured water and nothing like juice. 6 out of the 7 days our eggs for breakfast was cold. To be quite honest the breakfast did not taste that well. The 2 braai facilities has very limited equipment, so limited that I has to buy my own.

No coffee or tea or kettles in rooms, hairdryer without plug, no shampoo, had to buy toilet paper myself because they didn't have extra - we were there 3 nights, breakfast very poor - definitely not Full English and with bad watery soft drinks - not juice, rooms never cleaned or beds made, never new towels or clean sheets. Really beautiful venue but with extremely poor management.

Rooms comfortable, facilities comfortable, breakfast basic - not a big deal but tasty. Friendly reception from the cleaner on duty (24 hours). Very helpful and took good care of my parents. Blinds in room do not work.

The place is extremely beautiful. The staff is so friendly and Ouma is the best. The breakfast was also delicious. The whole experience was just amazing, clean, organized, spacious, in a safe and secured area. Ouma really helped us, picked us up from the station with the shuttle and was there just on time, gave our little one a ball, the kids really loved her as she is very friendly. Just an advice on breakfast, variety would be nice especially when you are there for a number of days. We really had an awesome time and would definitely go back anytime.

Only one person to clean all the rooms. Hot water is turned off during the day and then one cannot shower or bathe.
The owner is beyond friendly, definitely my choice of 5-star accommodation!
Dalcor Estate Guesthouse is really value for money and I would recommend the place anytime. It's in a peaceful environment and the place is very tastefully furnished. Pleasant and friendly people!
Great and wonderful. However, I feel it would have been perfect if our room had en-suite bathroom.
We spent only one night at Dalcor Landgoed Gastehuis and were very impressed with the quality of service. When we stop by Port Elizabeth again, we spend the night there again.
