The Lodge consists of self-catering Chalets, and a large hall for functions and parties. We have a lovely restaurant for some delicious meals, or guests can place an order and enjoy a meal in their chalet. Most of the chalets are equipped with braai areas or you can braai next to the swimming pool.
There is a variety of chalets with air-conditioning, all with en-suite bathrooms and full self-catering facilities. Some of the units have lock-up garages and the rest have secure undercover parking available.
We can cater for functions from weddings, and birthday parties to conferences in the large hall, which can seat up to 160 people.

Very comfortable and clean. For older people, the shower in the bath is really a big challenge - no handles or place to hold on.
We had a very nice stay. The back door key broke, but the reception quickly came to help us with a spare key for the front door, because we accidentally left our key inside when we went to barbecue.

Unit dirty and no water.
Was neat, clean and comfortable for a quick overnight stay. The only criticism would be that the decor and electrical appliances are very old fashioned and run down.
Just note that staff went through our personal things when we traveled to Nampo.
We only wanted to sleep over for one night and had our 2-year-old daughter with us. They allowed her to sleep on her own mattress in the room and we appreciated that. Unfortunately we arrived late in the day on Easter Monday and it looked like the room had only been cleaned briefly. There was still hair in the tub and dust on the bathroom floor. There was also no hot water available. After a call we were informed it was due to load shedding and should recover within half an hour. It never recovered and the next morning there was still only cold water. We just packed up our things and drove.
The place is ideal for families, very accommodative and peaceful.
Perhaps it was just my unit. I arrived late, and a helpful and pleasant security guard showed me in and to my unit. The unit was relatively clean, apart from the bedding and linen: they smelt clean, but didn't look clean and felt sort of sticky. The shower worked for my partner, but only had a trickle when I went to use it. At promptly 10 am, the cleaning people came and stared at us until we left.
Convenient and comfortable. Neat enough place for family. Each room has its own bathroom which is neatly equipped. Road in front of guest house only in very bad condition.

A very comfortable bed with en suite bathroom and well equiped kitchen, rusks, tea, coffee provided. Basic toiletries provided in bathroom. Very clean accommodation with undercover parking. Very secure with security guard at entrance. Lovely gardens inside and a pool. Had a good nights rest. Unfortunately meals on sight were not available, but there were options available to eat at the Spur or KFC. Luckily I had brought padkos with me. The roads in wolmaranstadt do have potholes so drive cautiously. Driving through most of the towns on the N12 one must be aware of potholes.
Dalrene Guest House is well located, safe and tidy, but that is where the plus points of this guest house in Wolmaransstad end. Now the negative: the cost of the place to sleep per night is already solid, but this also excludes breakfast. My wife and I decided to have breakfast at the guest house's restaurant the following morning, after we had been informed the previous afternoon that the lady who runs the kitchen was absent and therefore we would not be able to have lunch at the guest house's restaurant no, but breakfast the next morning. Then the surprise: the menu shows a specific price for the different breakfasts, but after we paid, I saw to my surprise that we were simply charged R130 each for two breakfasts (on the menu, my breakfast was R85 and my wife's n less). On top of that, when we left, the guard involved us with a form for R10 for some kind of competition that a school is running to win a mobile phone. Due to my work commitments I travel a lot and therefore I know what value to expect for more than a thousand rand a night. Dalrene Gastehuis unfortunately does not meet that expectation at all.

Unfortunately we couldn't use the pool because there was a function. The fact that there is no WiFi makes this a huge, negative experience for the destination.

This unit is not truly self-catering. There are no pots, pans or bowls. No toaster or oven. Only knives, forks, plates, kettle and barbecue tools. It would work if you just wanted to heat something up in the microwave. This meant that we had to go out for breakfast, which of course added extra costs, and meant that it worked out quite a bit more expensive. The beds have old-fashioned blankets and sheets on them, with a large bedspread that definitely cannot be washed after every visit. Other than that, the unit is neat, but looks like it needs a bit of renovation.
I would definitely recommend Dalrene Lodge. The whole experience from booking to departure was very well organized. The lodge's room / living unit was also very well equipped with plenty of space. Our time was short, but we also noticed the braai facilities are close to the living units. We will definitely make use of them when we stay over again.

Dalrene lodge was a pleasant surprise and I was impressed with the layout, tranquility and size of the accommodation. I would definitely recommend people to the place. The challenges I experienced was that the door to the braai area went from a room. There was only a vegetable sink in the kitchen. I would have expected some basic products like dish soap, dishcloths, etc. to be provided. For a first time stayer, it caught me off guard.
A bit confused with check-in. Cleaner could have waited until after 10. Breakfast was 5 star. Thank you for everything.

Accommodation was in order. Not really self-catering, but other than that we had no problems. There was no hairdryer in the unit, but the receptionist was so kind to lend us hers! Good customer service.
The next morning there were ants and organic material in the tub that had to be rinsed out before use.

Dalrene is a way from the main road which means that it is so quiet and peaceful. The kitchen was well equipped and the bedroom spacious and neat. We would definitely recommend it.

Everything was fine, couldn't get the garage door to close. Probably works with remote control. TV is too high had to stand on chair to reach. Short people struggle to reach the faucets of the bath. Overall, our stay was very nice.

The place is advertised as having a restaurant on site. However, the restaurant is on another premises and the people did not let us know that it would not be available for dinner. There were also some belhamels with motorbikes that stayed there revving, spinning and making a lot of noise in the street. I accept that this is not always the case, but it made the evening very unpleasant for us.

TV and air conditioning did not work. The TV was later sorted out. Beds' blankets were very dirty, there were too few warm blankets and the carpets had old stains on them.
The only thing I wasn't happy with was the pots weren't clean (they were sticky). I was impressed at the pool & the 24/7 security guards who are friendly. Kobus is always willing to attend to the guest demands.

I was very pleasantly surprised by the place. The people are friendly and the whole place was neat. We had a great time, even if it was just for one night, many will definitely visit again.

Poor introduction. I was met with "You owe R250". No welcome or hallo etc. Unfriendly frontdesk staff. Accommodation needs a upgrade. It has old and tired bedspreads, curtains etc.
