David's Cottage is a well-equipped house situated on a working sheep farm. Apart from being a sheep farm, we also offer game viewings, such as springbok, swart wildebeest, eland, alpaca, zebra.
The Cottage is equipped for 8-10 people and has 4 bedrooms, 4 bathrooms, all en-suite. 2 rooms have a queen-size bed each and the other 2 rooms have 2 twin beds each. Each bed has an electric blanket for the cold winter nights. There are 3 Bathrooms consists of a shower, basin and toilet, while the 4th bathroom has a bath, shower, basin and toilet. Linen and towels are provided, but please bring your own beach towels.
Fans for hot summer days and heaters and electric blankets for the cold winter days/nights are also available.
The kitchen is equipped with a 4 plate counter top gas-electric stove and an electric oven, microwave, fridge-freezer, toaster and coffee maker.
The entertainment area has an indoor braai with a dining room table and 8 chairs. An outside braai is also available.
There is no TV and no WiFi. Pets are unfortunately not allowed.
We have farm water, which is perfectly drinkable, but if you have a sensitive stomach, please bring bottled water.
Sitting on the patio, you can experience the most beautiful sunsets over the Gourits River and the mountain tops of the Langeberge, whilst listening to the rumble of the ocean, only 6 km away.
If you are tired of braaiing and your own cooking, there are plenty of farm restaurants around which serve good hearty boerekos.
Activities in the area include various fishing and picnic spots, 4x4 dune driving, game viewing, aloe farming and gin- and wine- and olive tasting, to mention just a few. Beaches, such as Vleesbaai and Gouritsmond are a mere few kilometres away. We offer lots of fishing spots along the 10km river front of the Gourits River which runs through our farm.
We also offer a wood fired hot tub and wood at an additional rate.

Large, clean, tidy with a beautiful view of the farm, river and sea. Everything needed to just sit back and relax with family and friends.
We had a great stay in a big clean house! The owners made us feel so welcome and the farm is beautiful.
