From the beginning of the booking everything was just a pleasure! The staff went out of their way and there was constant communication with me. The facilities were very clean and tidy! Thank you very much for a wonderful time!
Very nice, clean and tidy and well equipped, and walking distance from the town and stalls!
Unfortunately for me, the air conditioner/fan in room was not working, forcing me to open doors and windows resulting in a problem with mosquitoes.
We are regular travellers and stay at many establishments around the country. The website sold the establishment well, but the reality was a different picture. It felt regimental, controlling, and cramped. The room inside the house, with the dining room just outside our door and limited ventilation didn't work for us. The smell of fried bacon in the morning was a complete put-off. Breakfast elsewhere would have been a preferred option as the breakfast (included) was a far cry from great.
Would stay there again because it is so centrally located, good value for money, so clean and the staff are so fantastic.

The unit was very clean and spacious. Clean linen, cutlery was available, nice big shower and the finishes were modern. The aircon was definitely a plus!! It was quiet and private. Definitely worth the money!

The cleanliness and detail in decor created a homely atmosphere that was needed after a long day on the road.
We had to go to Oudtshoorn at short notice and are so grateful that we were able to stay at De Akker. Beautiful rooms and a delicious breakfast! The best was the electric sheet that was on when we got into bed after a long and emotional day. Linda's genuine care and hospitality will stay with us for a long time.
We had a warm welcome and the room was beautiful, clean and tidy. Basic things like coffee, tea, sugar and milk were available as well as a kettle, fridge and hairdryer. The bathroom had all the necessary necessities. Although breakfast is only served from 8:00, we were met to be able to have our breakfast by 7:00 as we had to be next to our daughter's sports field by 8:00. The breakfast was delicious and very well prepared with an additional surprise of pancakes! I can definitely recommend De Akker.
The hostess was friendly and responded positively to our requests. The room was comfortable and very practical for a 3-day stay. The facilities were good. Consider handles in the shower for older people.
Our room (plus en-suite) was luxurious, neat and clean. Linda gave us a warm welcome and immediately put us at ease. The breakfast was deliciously prepared and every morning's treat with pancakes was special. Any requests were handled quickly and efficiently. Many thanks to Linda and her friendly team.
As a group, we are bent over backwards to make sure we are all happy. Very neat clean rooms and well trained staff.

We had a very nice stay. Terribly friendly service received from Brendon. He really went out of his way to make it pleasant for us. The breakfast was really fantastic and so well prepared. I have just one suggestion that I thought I would mention to you: The room we stayed in was very bright throughout the night due to some of the porch lights being on during the night. Hope it will make a positive contribution for future guests.
