We had a great stay. Being able to communicate with the host via WhatsApp in advance of arrival was an advantage. We were able to order our supper, as we were going to arrive late. The supper was excellent, and the welcome was real and warm.

We had no problems or any complaints. Also gave us good information about the area around Matatiele. If we ever come to that area again, De Berg Gastehuis will be our first choice.

Units are very well equipped with fridge, kettle and microwave as well as cups and plates if needed. Lovely big beds with crisp linen. Practical set-up with table and storage space for travel bags. Bathroom also practical with a place for toiletries. Shower works great. Nice coffee for pampering. Although our hostess could not be there she made adequate arrangements for someone to assist us. We traveled with our small dogs and appreciated that they could stay as well. Safe parking for our vehicle and close to fast food place. We will stay here again!
Centrally located in town and very safe. Room was perfect for overnight stay and very clean.
Overnight stop. Kitchen facilities well equipped. We could have a comfortable, private barbecue and visit as a family. Hostess, Helga, is an iron and our boys' hero with her hospitality they were able to watch the soccer world cup final during load shedding. A farmer makes a plan and his wife makes two. Perfect hosts. The room was clean and very comfortable. The DStv worked well and the TV gave us good reception. The breakfast was well worth the extra cost, much more than expected. We will definitely stay here again should we sojourn through Matatiele in future.
The room was neat and clean. But we booked the family room. There was only one light next to the single bed. The bathroom door's handle was broken, and was hanging from its trail. There was nowhere in the bathroom or the bedroom for your luggage. It was a lot of money for few amenities.
