It was lovely. We loved the location, the lodge was beautiful, the rooms extremely comfortable. The buildings and grounds are immaculate, our hostess went out of her way to make us feel welcome, and her staff are terrific. The breakfast is outstanding - served on white linen-covered tables out by the pool. Will absolutely visit again.
It is a beautiful and comfortable place to stay. The breakfast was also delicious, the start time of 8 o'clock was just a bit inconvenient for us.

We enjoyed our stay at De Bergkant. The room and bed were comfortable. The breakfast was tasty, however, the quantities of the food seemed to be minimalistic. Our bar fridge was empty.
We had a lovely relaxing weekend stay at De Bergkant Lodge exploring the sights of Prince Albert. Renate and Michi are excellent hosts and the lodge itself is 5-star. The setting, room decor and breakfasts were faultless. We would highly recommend it.
Couldn't be better in every respect.
De Bergkant is a very beautiful establishment. The grounds are pristine. The rooms are wonderful with all the antique furniture and the high ceilings. The breakfast room overlooking the pool with a view of the mountain was also lovely.
It is a very pleasant experience with superb service from the hosts and their competent staff.
The place is very nice and the rooms' decor matches the style of the place. Location and space in garden with swimming pool offers a nice peaceful atmosphere but also private. Can't complain about anything, the owner herself is involved, friendly and professional in her assessment. The value you get relative to the price is in my opinion slightly out of proportion (too expensive).
We loved our stay and were treated by the owner when she heard it was our anniversary.

Renate, the owner and hostess, could not have made us feel more welcome and went out of her way to ensure that we were comfortable and warm. It was a freezing cold day and the underfloor heating and air conditioner had been switched on to ensure that our room was heated for our arrival and the heating stayed on for the duration of our stay. The breakfast was delicious and we were impressed by the use of local products. Just a shame we couldn't stay longer to be able to relax in the attractive, well-kept garden, but hope to be back!
We had a wonderful stay at De Bergkant Lodge. Everything was perfect from the wonderful breakfast to the underfloor heating. Would definitely stay here again.
