Tucked away in the bush with buck and nature surrounding you.
From the moment we stopped there until we drove off was absolutely wonderful. The only complaint I have is we should have stayed longer. With eyes full of tears I left there. Paul was the best and was always ready to give us advice or come and clean. Many thanks to the website and to Nico for the use of your place.
Very nice home to stay in, just had trouble with the wheelchair - not wheelchair friendly.
Neat house with everything you need.
Loved every minute. Stay was way too short. We didn’t have to leave our unit except for one trip to the very close store and garage. We had beautiful wildlife that surrounded us and fed from our hands. Just be sure to get the pellets from the shop and don’t feed the monkeys! The keeper, Paul is great, he is very knowledgeable about the area and activities you can plan. What a perfect experience.
From the time we got there to the time we left, we really enjoyed it. Would recommend it to everyone. Blue wildebeests themselves came to greet us when we left, not to mention the bushbucks. Paul was very friendly and helpful.

The house was clean and tidy, except for the boiler. The cutlery definitely needs attention. Paul the caretaker is very friendly and helpful. The price is very expensive for 2 persons. I would rather pay that for the house with 6 people. Otherwise, it is a practical and comfortable place.

Accommodation was impeccably clean and tidy. The different species of wildlife that come and go in the garden make it an experience.
Had a great, relaxing time with the bushbuck and the kudu. Paul came and told us there were lions down by the river in the Kruger which was great - spent a lovely couple of hours watching game and chatting to other folks staying over.
Did not know, however, that another person remained on the property. But that was not a problem.

What a wonderful accommodation in the bush near Kruger Park, the accommodation is well kept and the service from the keeper and housekeeping is outstanding. The little-wildlife are roaming in the garden and this is really wonderful to be part of. You can enjoy nature without compensate for luxury of you daily life. You feel safe on the premises. The interaction with the animals was something out of a storybook. The nightcaps stole our hearts and became more and more cute with time. The house was a dream and was perfectly appointed. The location is perfect and it's easy to enter the Crocodile Bridge entrance and visit the wildlife park. In the evenings we could return to the privacy of De Bruine Huis and relax and talk about the day's events by a delicious barbecue fire. We witnessed an amazing lion hunt from Marlothpark and we just want to thank the owners who informed Paul that there were lions down there and that he should pass the information on to us. Our stay was fantastic and Paul and Agnes made us feel so at home. We will definitely visit your place again and will tell everyone we know about it and recommend it. Thank you for the privilege we had to visit there.
We had a great time and rested and the house is beautiful and has everything we needed. The Bushbaby's were especially a treat and the service from the owner was excellent! Will come here again to vacation!

I have traveled a lot. De Bruine house was jaw dropping. I have never had the privilege of calling home to such a well appointed, neat and lovely place. Words cannot describe. The service, the friendliness, the neat, absolutely well-appointed home. This is a real gem. Here you relax. Even over the school holidays, which included Easter weekend, the silence and only the sounds of nature were exactly what I was looking forward to. I got much more than I expected. I will often make De Bruine house my holiday destination. Thank you Nico, Jasmyn, Paul and Agnes for giving me a break I could only dream of.
This was our 2nd visit to De Bruine Huis and we will certainly go back again. De Bruine Huis is very well equipped, very neat and clean. Lovely outdoor sitting area, air conditioning in the house and the best fridge ever! Alvero was a star as always!
We had a fabulous time at De Bruine Huis. Paul and Agnes are an absolute delight. The home is clean and comfortable and the garden must be one of the best in Marloth Park, an absolute fairyland whilst still fitting in with the bush surrounds.

It was a privilege to stay in a house like this. We go to Marloth quite often and De Bruine Huis is one of the best at an affordable price for 2 people. Everything was very clean and neat and Alvaro went out of his way to show us everything and to help. Even the pellets were provided and the braai was cleaned daily and prepared for the next day. Game like bush bucks, kudus and zebras visited regularly. Thank you very much Nico for the privilege. Our next 2 visits are already booked. De Bruine Huis is good!

Will suggest that the owner makes a plan with a full bathroom for the top 2 bedrooms. I feel the space can be put to better use.

My only criticism is the chandeliers in the main bedroom. Their switch is far from the bed so one has to get out of bed to switch them off after reading and they can get in the way when stumbling around in the dark. My father found that the metal designs on the wall at the head of the single beds in the bottom small room could be dangerous as there are sharp edges. Other than that, it was a privilege to make use of this fine accommodation and we will definitely be visiting again.

The house is kept cool at all times on the lower level with air conditioning in the living room and lower rooms. We were very grateful for the splash pool and we cooled off in it. Everything you could possibly need has been thought of. The owners put a lot of trust in people who rent their house seeing that there are many personal items in the house for the use of the guests. The house is super neat and definitely value for money. We would definitely recommend De Bruine Huis to any family that needs a break from the city.
Great rest in nature.
We had a really great 5 day stay at De Bruine Huis. The owner kindly 'donated' an extra day's accommodation as we experienced some difficulties with electricity cuts. Problem was sorted out. Alvaro, living on the property is a real gem, very friendly, efficient, helpful and skilled. Family from Australia really appreciated having help available.

Spacious, neat and very comfortable with a garden that is a loop court for birds. It's also only a 3-minute walk from the river. Would heartily recommend anyone to stay here and we will definitely be back.
