De Hoop Opstal Manor House is a beautiful original home which has been restored to its former glory. This lovely manor house is situated in the beautiful De Hoop Nature Reserve. The Opstal area is a central base from which to explore the reserve; The Fig Tree Restaurant can be found here, and is open all day. The on-site restaurant serves delicious meals prepared using locally sourced produce. Guests can either drive, hike or cycle to may of the interesting locations in the reserve.

Comfortable accommodation is offered in 2 suites in the manor house. Each suite is furnished with a king-size bed and an en-suite bathroom with a bath and a shower. The suites are equipped with linen and bath towels, and are serviced daily.

There is a communal lounge with a fireplace, where complimentary firewood is provided, and the kitchen features an old-stone floor. Meals are included on a dinner, bed and breakfast basis.

De Hoop Nature Reserve offers sea, sand dunes, the vlei, a floral sensation of rare fynbos plants, diverse antelope, and the Potberg mountains. Birders can observe wading birds on the shores of the vlei, while the Potberg mountains are home to a colony of endangered Cape vultures. Hikers and cyclists can enjoy close-up encounters with bontebok, Cape mountain zebra, eland, baboons, and ostrich. Guests can choose between various day walks through the rich fynbos plains or along the deserted coastline, mountain biking along the many gravel roads or scenic game drives. Lazing on the beach and snorkelling in the turquoise rock pools is another activity guests can enjoy. There is a tennis court, a swimming pool, and a boules courtyard.
