Stayed. Everything is clean and tidy. Equipped with everything needed plus much more. Dorethea was 'hands on' with everything and received a very friendly welcome. Feeling like 'home away from home'. We were also 'upgraded' at no further cost. Feel safe and would definitely recommend.
The hostess was very pleasant and helpful! The place was spacious and accommodated my in-laws with ease. Very very neat and clean, and had an iron which was ideal for ironing clothes for the wedding.
For 2 nights my husband was in Cape Town for work. I reserved a place for him. He was very surprised with the place to stay and the incredibly good service and friendliness. If we look for accommodation in the Cape again, we will stay there.

Our unit was neat and clean, well equipped. Really felt like home away from home. Unit 3 has covered parking. The hostess, Dorethea, is incredibly friendly and approachable. It was a pleasure to use De Oude Rus.
Accommodation was comfortable and private for all users. Very hospitable owners. Quiet area and can be recommended for vacationers and also for short stays.
We arrived 4 hours early, but Dorothea welcomed us with open arms even though we completely messed up her cleaning schedule. After a 5-hour journey and just after we had to drop off our eldest at Stellies, we really appreciated lying down a bit. During load shedding she also wanted to make us coffee which shows the person she is and the WiFi which also stays on during load shedding was also nice to have. I wish them every success. We will definitely go back again.

I was hospitalized and my husband stayed there alone for the 2 nights. He cannot get enough of the friendly owner as well as the cleanliness of the place. I have to go again in February to see the doctor there. Will definitely book again on my husband's recommendation.

This critique is more on the site than the accommodation - I searched for accommodation in Stellenbosch, and Brackenfell came up as an option. I don't know the area, so I booked it, but I found this was a bit far out of Stellenbosch.
The unit we lived in was No 3. It was very neat and clean and is a lovely spacious unit. Thank you Andre and Dorethea for your hospitality. Hope to see you again soon.

Owners very friendly, helpful and concerned. We had a great time. The units are very neat and well equipped. Ages ranged from 9 to 74. We can recommend it 100%. Secure parking and also wifi for the teenagers. Nicely centrally located. You don't have to drive far to get everything you need. Thank you very much for everything!

It was so peaceful and everything you need was available. Jo and her husband is the nicest host, super friendly! The 4 of us had a lovely time. We did not want to leave, even though we weren't that far from home. Would definitely recommend this place to anyone that is looking for a peaceful place.
