Had a great stay.
A spacious, beautiful house. Nice and quiet area. It felt like home away from home.
It was one of the best weekends. Everything was so nice clean and well appointed. From full DStv to WiFi. Lots of space and the kids really enjoyed it. Nice braai area with wood.

We had a wonderful stay. We were 2 couples with 5 children and had plenty of space. The house is beautiful and a real pleasure! We were concerned about safe parking, but we parked 2 large vehicles on the sidewalk and it was quiet and safe. Our pram was in the garage where a door brought us directly into the house - so convenient. The Superspar is within walking distance. We highly recommend De Oude Wes!

Beautiful old house, but equipped with modern comforts. Beds and bedding were very comfortable, house well equipped, plenty of hot water for large group. Single garage only, but car in the street was the norm for many homes. Service from hostess excellent.

Everything was great, huge house, great location, very comfortable and clean. Provisions are made for when there is loadshedding. Very friendly staff.

We stayed here as an overnight to the Eastern Cape as well as a weekend on the way back to explore Camdeboo National park and historic sights. The house is lovely and excellent for a large group traveling together. We would definitely stay here again.

My daughter forgot her bath bag with valuable perfume, it was couriered back to us by the owner at no cost. Truly an eastern sleeping place in the heart of the Karoo, which I will return to many times, and consider staying longer myself on my next trip. With thanks.
Lovely stay, but there is no parking for a larger car like a Fortuner. So I was up all night looking after the car. It would be good if safe parking could be arranged with neighbors. We are not used to leaving a vehicle on the street.

Travelling from Eastern Cape back to Western Cape with young kids, and Oude Wes was the perfect stay, very spacious home with enough hot water for a big group, just overall cosy especially if you have been on the road for hours. Full DStv package and Wi-Fi to keep kids entertained. Very safe and quiet area, it will definitely be our stay-over spot when travelling throughout the Eastern Cape again.
Can accommodate larger groups. Beautifully decorated inside with everything you need including a nice kitchen and back garden. Everything is well maintained and clean. Only downside is small garage, so parking is in the street for larger cars.
The website does not do this place justice! It is absolutely beautiful. The place was spotless and we loved the intricate details in the home. A mixture of modern and traditional was just spot on and of impeccable taste. Our host communicated with us throughout our stay sending us load-shedding schedules. We were two families with both teenagers and toddlers and both groups were entertained. The little ones loved the sound of their feet as they ran across the beautiful hardwood floors! It had everything we needed and the most beautiful cups for our morning coffee! Graaf Reinette in itself is an amazing little town full of history. The people are well-mannered and very friendly. I would definitely recommend De Oude Wes as an exceptional place to stay. We hope to be back soon! We absolutely loved it, our home away from home! The only issue was the water, it was either piping hot or icy cold when taking a bath. We couldn't even shower! But the house more than made up for the water issue!
The house is beautiful and big enough for a family. The water pressure was very bad due to load shedding. The braai area is nicely sheltered and our canine friends were safe.

Everything was nice and clean. The place was well equipped. Everything was there that one would need. Help was a WhatsApp message away. Couldn't appreciate the timer on the air conditioner in one of the rooms, and when it would work, it didn't exactly cool the room properly. Our family also went to bed a little scared because we had to share the place with some spiders.
It is an older house with an atmosphere, cute barbecue area, enough equipment to be able to stay easily. There is even a washing machine with soap!

De Oude Wes is situated in a beautiful neighbourhood. It had all we required for a warm and comfortable stay in winter. Unfortunately our double cab bakkie could not fit in the lock up garage, but it was safe anyway.

Our host was extremely attentive to all our needs and also came out more than once to helps us out. We will definitely be back. Just one issue though is the warm water in the second bathrooms shower is a municipal issue which needs to be sorted out. that is according to the handyman that our host sent out to try and fix the problem. Other than that perfect.
De Oude Wes house was much more than we expected, the place was very neat and clean and terribly very spacious. It was really a pleasure to be there, will definitely stay there again. Only thing that caught us a little off guard was the size of the pots as we were a large family but with one message the friendly and helpful agent immediately came to our rescue and did not consider it any trouble to assist us. That's what we call great service. Well done Oude Wes with your service and the cleanliness and space of the place, you will reach many more heights and I wish it in your place.

We absolutely love the accommodation. It is walking distance from shops and Restaurants and Marijke called on the first day to make sure everything was okay. Can recommend this place to anybody with a 6 year old and 9 people in their party.
