26 guests' feedbackThe rooms and bathrooms are perfect. The warm blankets on the beds were a lovely surprise and definitely helped with the cold of the early winter. The only thing that bothered a bit is the kitchen equipment. For a self-catering unit there was less than what was needed. There are plates, glasses and mugs, but not enough knives and forks. The pots are very small for a 5 bedroom unit. Furthermore, there is no mixing or salad bowl or cooking equipment.
Very quiet, tidy, well maintained, ablution clean and tidy. Owner treats you like old friends.
Would only recommend a daily cleaning, as we were out early and arrived late back each day. Also the bar maybe being open and perhaps a small shop to buy water, wood etc.
De Rust is very well maintained by Eden, and the chalet was comfortable and clean. The staff is very friendly.

The stay was good but there were 3 bats in our chalet and a smell of wood oil.
It was not at all pleasant to shower or bathe there, because the hot water pressure was so low, that you could not shower and the bath water was already cold by the time the bath had enough water in it to be able to bathe. We brought this to Marius' attention, but saw no improvement.

The amenities were as I expected. There was a peaceful atmosphere. Do bring your own braai wood and ice. The goats are tame and walk near the chalets.
Our stay was okay. We enjoyed every minute, but the blankets in the chalets need to be replaced.
Everything was neat and tidy, but our kettle did not work, we didn't have tiolet paper, two of the toilets had bad leaks. One chalet flooded, because of it, but they immediately fixed it the next day. A towel rail fell off. On the flip side, they organised a spitbraai for us, fixed it up and helped us to get it going.

Very cute house with the most beautiful view over the dam. Luckily there were no visitors with us at the dam which made it nice and quiet. However, the music from the bar was disturbing (not appropriate for a game farm), so we were glad when load shedding came and it silenced them. The dirt road there was very well maintained.
I would like to suggest that they put a microwave oven and salt and pepper in the honeymoon suite. Everything was perfect, and the staff very helpful and friendly. It's such a peaceful atmosphere.
Our stay at this place was really worth it. The place itself is located in a beautiful area, totally isolated resort. We were a group of 16 individuals and it accommodated us perfectly. The reception and care we received from the owner were incredible. Thank you for making our stay as great as it was. I will be definitely coming back to this location.

The view and everything surrounding the place was just perfect.
I was very surprised with how beautiful it is there. Staff were very friendly and helpful. I would not hesitate to spend the night there again or even visit there for a weekend. The facilities are some of the best I have seen at such a place. Was very nice and relaxing. Can have nice family time and bring one closer together. Thank you very much.

A camp and caravan park with a common ablution block with hot and cold water, communal braai facilities and power points are also available.
Additional facilities include a wedding venue, a chapel, conferences facilities. The chapel can accommodate up to 150 delegates and wedding venue can accommodate up to 300 delegates.
De Rust Private Nature Reserve has a licensed pub, swimming pool, trampoline and children's playground. Game drives are available to view up to 32 different species.
