Made an effort to ask for food preferences.
Only stayed over for 1 night, on the way from Dbn to Pta. Everything you need is there, especially the meals that can be ordered are very tasty and convenient.
It was a lovely little town and we were just passing through.

Warden, like most of our country towns, is in a severe state of neglect. The guest house, however, is like an oasis in a desert. Our Google Maps didn't take us all the way home. We slept wonderfully on a firm, comfortable mattress. The room was beautifully clean and tidy. Thank you very much Baby.

Slept three adults comfortably with space to unpack into a large wardrobe. Had all the necessities in the room that we needed. Friendly hosts are willing to assist us despite arriving late in the evening. Kept in contact with us on our travel to ensure easy check-in.

I have stayed in a few stays in South Africa and I rate this the best. It was so unexpected in a small town like Warden. I took one star off location because Warden roads are shocking and that is no fault of De Sandsteen Guesthouse! But brave the roads and an oasis awaits you.
Babie was very encouraging, even calling us to ask what we wanted for dinner. We hadn't been so well rested in a long time before we took the road further the next day. Thank you very much!

At first the town's appearance and the broken streets on the way to De Sandsteen worried us, plus the property in the area did not create a good impression, but when we stopped at De Sandsteen and walked in, the picture changed completely. Neat and very quiet. Just one thing to note, one of the cupboard doors in the kitchen came loose and fell on my wife's head, maybe someone should just check the cupboards to make sure the doors are all still hanging, nothing critical, just a proposal.
I couldn't get to De Sandsteen on time due to work planning, and Babie immediately moved the dates up for me. After that she contacted us personally, and offered to come and unlock for us anytime during the night when we arrived. That's what I call super service, so I totally recommend De Sandsteen anytime for a place to stay the night!

We travel a lot and this place exceeded our expectations. The rooms are beautiful, spacious and clean.

The room was top notch. The food was excellent and it also includes all meals, even the lunchpack! Very peaceful and service was excellent.
I can definitely recommend this guest house. We were received and treated in a friendly and professional manner and the room has everything needed to ensure a very comfortable stay. The bathroom in the room we stayed in is wonderfully luxurious with a bath and shower. The fact that we could park our car in a garage puts this guest house in a different class!

Friendly and hospitable owner who goes out of her way to help people. Just sorry about the busy road next to the guest house, but unfortunately this is the case everywhere due to the large amount of trucks on the road. Despite that, it was a pleasant experience! Thank you.

We were very well received and felt welcome from the start. Barbie turns out to be an excellent hostess. The sleeping facilities are very good, clean and attractive. Lighting and heaters are adequate. There is also a carport for your car. The shower facilities are clean, as are the sufficient towels.
Babie is a very good hostess who is willing to go the extra mile. The room offers more than the price indicates. Feel free to sleep over there for a night or so.
