The house was built in the late 1800s and was part of the fishing industry. During the 1990s the factory shop was transformed into a beautiful home and is located 100 m from the main beach, just around the corner from the famous Voorstand restaurant and the centre of the village. The house is protected by a dune and is therefore sheltered from the suite wind.
De Visschuur can accommodate 7 guests comfortably and comprises 3 tastefully designed bedrooms on the upper level with roof windows to gaze at the stars at night. The main bedroom is furnished with a queen-size bed, sleeper couch, a cot for a baby and an en-suite bathroom fitted with a shower, basin, and toilet. The second and third bedroom is furnished with a queen-size bed, of which one of the beds can be converted into 2 single beds. The second bathroom is fitted with a bath, basin, and toilet. All linen and towels are provided.
The modernly designed open-plan kitchen is equipped with a fridge-freezer, stove, oven, microwave, cutlery, crockery, and tea- and coffee-making facilities. In addition, this house spoils with a dishwasher for guests’ convenience. It leads to the dining area where guests can enjoy their meals. The living area offers guests comfortable couches and a TV with a full selection of DStv channels. Free Wi-Fi is available throughout the house. This house makes use of solar power.
The front patio opens up to a lovely small lawn ideal for kids to play and offers outdoor furniture with a built-in braai area. Guests are afforded safe parking on the premises behind a gate.

Our stay was magical!
Had a wonderful stay. Friendly and helpful hostess and the cleaning lady sent every day to clean dishes (included in price). What a feast!
We really enjoyed our stay at the Visschuur. Located in a quiet cul-de-sac, walking distance from the beach, shops, and restaurants. Overall a very pleasant experience!
We had a wonderful time with the family. The house was spotless and the location superb. The communication with the host was perfect - immediate responses and very helpful and accommodating. I would highly recommend this lovely spot.
I felt at home, tucked away from noise in a cul-de-sac. Very close to the beach! I particularly loved the windows on the roof which made me admire the stars and the moon.
Only 150 meters from the sea, quiet in a cul-de-sac street, no lobstermen. Large yard and then with a nice lawn. Safe house.
Perfect location for a getaway weekend. The host was very helpful, with loads of info about tourist activities.
