609 guests' feedbackOverslept one night.
Thanks, it was nice. All that bothered me a bit was the noise from the gym next to the room.
See stars.
It was peaceful and Suene was very kind and accommodating.
I enjoyed it, was everything I needed for a night's stay.
The room was very neat and well equipped for 1 or 2 people. The self-check-in and check-out was very convenient, as I was on route to the Eastern Cape, and I had to be on my way again early the next morning.
The guest house was very nice, clean and tidy. We had everything we needed.
Nice!
Was very calm. The facility fulfills the main purpose namely sleeping over during a long distance journey.
Me and my 2 cats really enjoyed it.
It was peaceful and we had a good rest.
Our stay was generally very good, the beds were clean, there was tea and coffee on offer and hot water. However, the light in the bathroom did not work and I would not recommend ordering from the restaurant they suggest as the food was disappointing at best. This is however not their restaurant, just one that they suggest.
I always appreciate an animal-friendly place because I always travel with my dog, and there certainly aren't enough animal-friendly places to stay.
Was great, much relaxed when arrived!
We had a bit of noise disturbance late at night from the workers on site, but otherwise it was very peaceful.
Was nice and met all requirements.
Good basic overnight accommodation.
Very nice stay, will stay there again. My motorcycle just stood in the rain all night. I would like to see an upgrade to the parking.
Had a nice stay, but I think the place needs a repaint, especially in the bathroom. The walls look like lumps and the door clipping doesn't work.
The beds can really be replaced, it is not comfortable to sleep at all.
Slept well, showered well. Could easily park in front of unit with trailer. Air conditioning was broken and fan was very noisy. Would have liked larger freezer facilities.
Slept well. Pleasant experience. Please sit down dish soap in and the middle row lights did not work.
Coming in to a cool room with refrigerated water was perfect after the 8-hour drive from Cape Town. The beds were very comfortable and the space was the perfect amount for my partner and I, as well as our 2 cats. Some feedback though is that there was only 1 small bathroom bin which we quickly filled having self-catered, and needed to make our own dustbin with bags or go outside constantly to the main bin. It would've been nicer to have a bigger proper bin. This property also showed a nice pool which is one of the reasons I chose it, yet we weren't told about it and couldn't see it. We looked out onto a courtyard with one other room as well as a gym which people were using; this wasn't in the description. The other room had men in a buckie making quite a bit of noise in the evening, I'm not sure if they were offloading material or what exactly they were doing. They then started up again soon after 6:30 in the morning, and had the buckie idling for close to 30 minutes whilst they spoke loudly, smoked, and all moved back and forth between the room for quite a while. Needless to say, this stay and morning was not as relaxing as it could've been.
There is no trash in room 1. Had to go look for the outside trash in the rain. I see someone else already commented on this a few months back. The lady says she lives next to the guest house, but everything is checked in herself. I also had to call myself to find out where the key was. I understand it's self check-in, but it's really not hospitable. The room is spacious and tidy, but it's the little things that give 5 stars. Personal welcome makes a huge difference. One simply feels like staying in such a place again.
Had a good time next to the swimming pool under the beautiful gazebo. Rooms are clean and spacious. The restaurant that delivers is of course a huge bonus. Delicious food.
Value for money and good location.
This is not your quality! The shower is broken, very grand, but broken, it hangs flat and cannot be adjusted. The hot water ran out soon. The toilet is inserted crookedly and the seat slides when you sit down. You have to walk in first and turn around, close the door and then sit down because you can't close it any other way. The curtains are pathetic, to say the least. The linen is just as poor, it wasn't even the same color. The light switch is all the way across the room, if we didn't have a flashlight we wouldn't be able to locate it. The lamp didn't work, neither did the TV and the air conditioning. The only benefit was the electric blankets, but if we didn't have our extension cord we would only be able to plug in one side. On the premises is a gym for the town and there was a coming and going until late and very noisy, with the result that we could not sleep early. The gate was not locked and any person pushed it open and closed, with the result that we were not sure our car and belongings were safe. The sliding door also only locks on a whim.
It was ok, nothing too special but nothing really wrong either. The shower wasn't that great and the bed was a bit soft, but the room was big and there were sports channels on the DSTV.
Stay was nice, will stay there again. Value for money.
It was really good enough for an evening. Everything was clean and no discomfort. The sink faucet was broken and the kitchen had no cold water. Plumbing the kitchen faucet was awkward, but everything was just right.
See stars.
Very cool, place is neat.
Was convenient.
It was okay, the host can improve on communication, I felt she was on defence mode and even forgot to mention the critical part, which was "there's a fan in the room" instead of telling me how the price was reduced.
The stay was overnight. My partner, son and I needed to rest before continuing our journey back home, and the guest house provided just that.
Bed is uncomfortable. Bedding too small for the bed. No trash. Faucet by sink in kitchen extremely uncomfortable. DSTV is not working. Inconvenient showering, especially for seniors. Water was nice and warm. It was a large unit with plenty of space. The fridge and microwave oven work properly. No ice trays or container for cold water.
Slept well. The bed is lovely. The place outside is a bit neglected. Faucets are loose.
Definitely needs a new bed. No WiFi was available, not enough beforehand either. Too few power points too.
Was not what I expected. The mattress in room 3 was very worn out and full of humps. There was a very dangerous ditch in front of the room where you can easily slip and fall if not careful. My room in no 2 was okay. No WiFi throughout the guesthouse after it was sent to me via WhatsApp with the password. The room which I specifically booked from the reservation page was allocated to another guest, and after explaining it to him, he agreed that I can use that room. The one at the back, by the swimming pool, was not acceptable.
Was peaceful, very nice stay thank you.
The house is very neglected and in urgent need of repair and renovation. There is no personality. The linen is wrinkled and bugs are eating you. The beds and mattresses need to be replaced. The inner springs of the mattress dig into your flesh. This is extremely unpleasant.
The bed is old and uncomfortable. The pillows are also old and worn out. The heater in the room is not working, which is a problem in the winter season. The electric blanket was working, but only one side was connected. Warm water was not available in the morning, probably because so many people are using the same geyser. The curtains at the sliding door are in bad shape; we used pins to close them properly.
Shower leaking heavily and not working as it should. The coffee and tea were old and hard. The door does not lock. The bedding is not clean. The TV remotes are not working.
The stay was satisfactory.
The question is. Would I stay there again or recommend? The answer is a clear no. Nothing personal, this is business. There were bugs and small beetles on the bed and between the sheets. Certain wall plugs connected to an extension cord do not work. The shower's glass and aluminum frame is totally loose and the small shower head is what contractors use - not appropriate in a guest house. The cutlery, plates and glasses were packed just like that on a shelf against the wall. The security gate's guide is a butt with lots of nuts, and the gate drags on the ground. No front wheel. Just a ceiling fan, no floor fan or air conditioner. I would much rather pay more just to be able to sleep comfortably for the evening. We slept with an open door, just closed security gate. The refrigerator is the hospital type, small enough to keep medicine cold. However, the lady was very helpful and offered us the fridge and freezer for use in the gym. We bought meat to bring home. We used the deep freeze. Thank you. The light in the bathroom does not turn off, but closed the door without a handle. The room looks nicely decorated and everything was clean and tidy, but it needs a lot of work. If the little things were right I think it would have been a winner. We often sleep in small towns in a room for 2 and know there is room for improvement at De Vuur.
The aircon didn't work. TV didn't work.
We did not get a good welcome. We had to call ourselves and find out how everything works and where to get the key.
It was clean, but it was not as the pictures showed.
Short attention span in the room.
I did not enjoy sharing my bed with the cockroaches.
Cupboards weren't clean. The air conditioner and the TV didn't work.
We just slept over. Not happy with the cleanliness of the place. Refer to the light switch at the bathroom and inside.
Aircon doesn't work, shower leaks, fan and blades dirty.
This is not a place we will ever use again at all.
Never again! Unit 4 gate is loin lamb. No proper ventilation or lighting. Single bed was so bad, I found it better to sleep on the ground. Flea-infested. Owner had to come and fix door first. Towel arrangement in bathroom broken. Parking area far from unit and could not get gate locked properly when we left in morning. Curtains torn. Entire guest house public areas look neglected.
We were moved from room 3 to room 6 without being notified, and it was another smoking room, while we don't smoke at all.
We did not feel welcome or safe at all. We had to look for someone to unlock the room. The room was dark and stuffy. The roof fan is not enough to relieve stuffiness. There was a door to another room that was not locked, which made us feel uncomfortable. The door to the room closes very hard to open/close. The beds are uncomfortable.
Not really, hope they improve.
Very bad area and the pictures and how it looks now are not the same. Could not swim because the pool was green, not safe at all.
Our overnight stay in Room 6 was not pleasant at all and we will definetely not recommend De Vuur. We encountered stained, chipped mugs, the coffee container was filled up but not cleaned (there was still old, hard coffee on the inside of the container), a very noisy microwave (sounds like something from a haunted house), hard wooden chairs at the table, cockroaches, flimsy toilet seat, dirty pool, towels were old and worn, no bathroom door with the bathroom and breakfast nook being opposite each other. No facility to hang clothes. On the one side of the pool in full view is an open shed with all kinds of stuff in disarray. The basin taps are both marked cold water even though one is a hot water tap and the taps are loose. This is extremely unsafe. Water is leaking down behind the basin. I don't know when was the last time you did an inspection at De Vuur, but the conditions are poor and unfavourable. No value for money at all. I can only rate the different categories one star and this is merely to get the review through. The three stars for safety are because the vehicle was at least behind a locked gate and we could lock our room.
The stay was extremely disappointing!
Unfortunately not at all, no. The room and bathroom were clean and DStv worked, but that's where it stops. Cutlery in my father's room was dirty. The aircon in my room was not working and the fan was very noisy. Curtains also could not close properly. WiFi didn't work. I would suggest that you thoroughly inspect the premises and rooms to address these issues.
Big room and tidy. Friendly and helpful! Excellent service!
Convenient overnight destination. Very central.
We had a very nice stay. There was no mistake.
Best pizza ever delivered straight to the door!
Nice quiet neighbourhood. Nice and close to the restaurant.
De Vuur Gastehuis had everything we needed to relax and refresh for our long trek to JHB, will definitely be staying with them again on our next trip.
Friendly hostess and gentleman!
Would recommend the place 100%.
The staff was very friendly and helpful. The place is very safe and clean.
Room well equipped and clean. Excellent restaurants within walking distance. Easy check-in and check-out.
The electric blanket was so needed. Made my stay enjoyable.
Lovely, clean place as expected and photos. Friendly and helpful service. Very nice overnight stay and comfortable. Thank you very much.
We arrived in Colesberg late afternoon and didn't know the area at all or where to find a shop. We contacted the owner/manager and he was more than willing to purchase a few items for us and personally deliver them. He was also very helpful for us short people who couldn't reach the TV button. Thank you very much!
Will stay there again for sure. Clean and everything you need.
Well located for an overnight stay between Cape Town and Johannesburg. We appreciated being able to order and have supper delivered to the guest room.
We enjoyed our stay and will recommend it to friends.
Can only provide dinner plates.
Everything is good. I even got a better room with a shower because the rooms on the website's database are mixed up and according to them I booked a room with a shower and then it was a room with only a bath and I bathed not at all, i shower.
Had a great stay and for what you pay it is definitely worth it.
Simplicity, but very neat. De Vuur has their own restaurant that brings the food to the room. Definitely a must. Food was tasty and value for money.
Great service and nice quiet area. I enjoy the place.
We enjoyed the stay, because it was neat and clean and Surita was very helpful and friendly!
The place is nice and clean and met all my needs even with loadshedding when the power was out we still had lights and could see.
Very nice on short notice. Will stay there again.
Nice and quiet and the owner was quick to sort out issues that I had.
Just a tip or 2. Due to loadshedding have some emergency lights around. Loadshedding for hours and to sit in the dark?
Would recommend stating that there is no generator.
I will definitely be staying there. The place just crawls under one's heart. One simply feels refreshed and relaxed after a good night's rest. The tranquility of nature around you with the frog's song that can help you fall asleep. This is what you need after a long day of crazy racing.
Nice quiet street. The aircon was a great bonus.
The place was clean and the pool area great. Loved it.
The staff is happy with the stay.
It's nice to spend the night close to a shop or a restaurant, it's convenient to be able to walk after a long drive.
We really enjoyed our overnight stay at De Vuur Gastehuis after a long journey. The Guest House is located in a quiet and peaceful environment also within walking distance to all the restaurants. We really enjoyed the stoepie with the little river across the road. The bedding is clean and white and the mattress comfortable. We will definitely stay there again if we go to Cape Town.
It was clean, tidy and comfortable. Only fault was that the TV wouldn't turn on. Will definitely stay over next time.
Was only overnight, but stay was pleasant.
It was really nice! We really enjoyed the stay.
It's great to find the owner waiting for you at the entrance.
Beautiful in every way. The people next to me kept me awake all night. I was up at 4 in the morning because of this, but wow, it was so beautiful. I will definitely go there again. I will take transfers with me.
Great stopover en route to Cape Town or the Eastern Cape.
Best pizza ever. Amazing service and best price for an excellent place to sleep.
Very good option to spend the night. Rooms are equipped with all essentials e.g. microwave oven. Rooms are neat and spacious. Good value for money!
The guest house was a lovely overnight stop on the way to Cape Town.
Comfortable double and single bed. Heating is precious. Possible extra blanket or 2 for winter cold?
Been neat. Christo was very helpful.
The environment was safe, we could park our vehicles behind a locked gate. The place was clean and tidy. Unfortunately, loadshedding is always a challenge and there were no candles or battery lights available. The sink's faucet in the bathroom was just loose, but otherwise we will definitely stay there again! Thank you very much for your excellent service!
Very neat and clean.
I recently stayed at De Vuur Guesthouse in Colesberg with my family, a group of 8, including young children and elderly parents. The guesthouse's central location made it easily accessible. The host was supportive and professional. While the rooms were good and clean, they could benefit from additional air conditioning facilities, especially in the summer. Overall, our experience was very positive, and I would recommend De Vuur Guesthouse for a comfortable stay in Colesberg.
We were received very kindly, and got more than expected. Safe environment, parking, and nice and quiet with a beautiful pool and relaxation area. A good choice for an affordable overnight stay.
Comfortable clean accommodation, very friendly owner.
It is a good place to basically just lay your head down if you're traveling anywhere after that. There's a shower, but it was very dysfunctional. Only thing that was okay is the security and the bed being comfortable. It's close to a little stream so that creates somewhat of a peaceful atmosphere.
Pleasant, with some minor inconveniences. There was no dustbin inside. The shower and basin are on the same level, so you'd stand in the water after showering while washing teeth. Minor things as well, such as no dishwashing liquid or soap provided. Otherwise, a very spacious room. We had a working TV with WiFi and air conditioning. Parking inside, which is also a plus point.
Basic accommodation. You get what you pay for. Air conditioner was faulty. The fan was not working effectively.
Excellent value for money for an overnight stop on the way between Cape Town and Johannesburg.
Will definitely make it my goal to use their facilities again.
Very nice stay, but there was no soap in the shower, not liquid or otherwise. WiFi was available but we didn't have a code and when we wanted to use it it was already late and I showered early in the morning. These are not intended as negative comments, because we had a very nice stay.
Christo received us kindly late in the evening. It's not criticism. Just a comment. I know it's winter, but I would like to see and hear the water running outside. At least there is a babbling brook across the road.
Spartan, broken toilet seat, could communicate better about lighting when loadshedding, all-over not too bad.
Good value for money, nice and quiet, I stayed in room 3, the only issues were the security gate is not well secured and drops down when unlocked, the TV remote didn't work (but I got it on at the TV) and the toilet seat was loose. But I was not bothered by that, the bed was very comfy and room was clean and I was well rested to continue my trip.
By no means 'ghrênd', but spotlessly clean with luxurious linen. Nice garden, swimming pool and braai facilities. Air conditioning and WiFi. Perfect for those flipping the pennies.
Nice and quiet, walking distance from places to eat, for what you pay you really can't complain.
Centrally located in a quiet area. Equipped with the essentials.
Room was neat and not too expensive. However, there is only a sliding glass door and no tellers.
See stars.
The room was neat and clean and just right as a "stop over", thanks for the hospitality.
The stay was pleasant and the owners friendly and helpful.
Pleasantly surprised that they received me late at night and explained everything. Wasn't there during the day, but can easily recommend them for accommodation, especially for overnight if you are tired on your way to the interior. Nice people with friendly service.
Rooms are clean. Friendly and helpful.
It was the first time we spent the night in Colesberg. It was also heartwarming to observe the condition of our villages.
Second time staying over at De Vuur Gastehuis, and once again enjoyed a good night's sleep. Will stay again. Thank you.
Great destination for an overnight stay. Thank you.
Equipped with the necessary in a quiet area.
However we were not warned about the mosquitoes so we were not prepared and got bitten. The cupboard was dirty and the pool was not in good condition to swim in but besides that the place is great.
I arrived late and had to leave early. Therefore, I could not fully explore or use and enjoy everything. I was very pleased with the help and service we received. I had a very nice stay.
Rustig but good enough for a stay over, especially given the price.
Thanks for the stay.
This is a very good stopover on your trip. The unit was very neat and met all our basic requirements. Luckily there was parking available for our vehicle, but we didn't feel very comfortable. We had to go and make sure the gate was locked a few times because all the guests have a key for the gate but don't lock the gate every time they go in or out. We called on our arrival and were told where to get the key as well as that there are security cameras because we didn't feel very comfortable. There was a nice braai place and we could rest for our journey the next day. The photos are not 100% an accurate representation of the guest house, it just needs a lot of TLC, but it was definitely neat and we were able to take a nice hot shower.
Safe place to sleep over.
Heaters in 2 rooms didn't work, luckily enough blankets for heat. Asked for room with 2 single beds, had to settle for double bed for 2 single ladies. Phone numbers I called when we arrived were not available. Please give clear instructions where to get the keys.
See stars.
We slept peacefully and there was an option to order food from the owner's restaurant and it was delivered to our rooms.
It was unfortunately load shedding from 10 o'clock in the evening until 02:00. And again from 04:00 to 8:00. We got up without coffee and left. There were no alternative facilities for boiling water or boiling water offered in a hot bottle. No alternative lighting either. Take your own flashlight with you and be prepared to drink only water.
I found the interior too dark and everything in need of a good painting. The shower was faulty and overly complicated.
For a last minute booking it was OK.
We were kindly received by Christo and we could even order food from his restaurant and it was delivered to our rooms.
Very comfortable and nice place, neighbors was a bit noisy but its okay.
We slept in Family Room 1, very spacious and comfortable with a sitting area, kitchenette with a microwave and a small fridge. The bathroom has a shower. Comfortable beds. And pet friendly. We were kindly met and assigned to the room and were quick to reply to questions about the WiFi etc.
Tranquil surroundings with basic amenities suitable for a through-traveller.
The boiler in the room was out of order and the security of the vehicle parking was inadequate. Guests left the gate open, but it was locked during the night. There was also some noise from other guests.
We slept well!
My choice of accommodation cancelled while I was travelling and unable to search for something suitable. Our Lekkeslaap agent sent us 3 alternatives and I chose this one because it offered the bed configuration we were looking for. Although it offered everything we needed for a nights stay over it was not the quality of the other accommodation we have used.
It is fine for a over night stop.
All shortcoming were bedside lamps.
No reception and cell phone call unanswered. Our room was very spacious (sleeps 4), with lounge area and sit-down dining table. Sleeping area and bathroom are nice and modern. Parking was on site, behind a gate, but the gate was unmanned and unlocked until late in the evening. Location is excellent, within easy walking distance of good restaurants. Wifi was available, which is not standard in Colesberg.
Facilities were neat and owner very nice.
Linen needs to be renewed. Electrics need to be made safer - kettle, plugs etc. Room needs a fresh coat of paint.
1) Totally too few electrical points. The bedside lamp (combined with electric sheet), microwave oven, wall mounted heater panel and kettle are all fed from just one point. If you want to use a closer device, you have to crawl on the floor under the table to pull out one plug and replace it with another one. 2) The cupboard doors drag heavily and with great noise on the floor.
A bit disappointed by the overall experience.
Received kindly and offered another room with heating. Attention can be paid to the amenities and general maintenance.
The general upkeep of my room was poor. The airconditioner did not work, the heater didn't work, the rechargeable LED light didn't work. Overall I would never stay there again or recommend anyone does. There are too many better places in Colesberg. I stayed there because I got a discount on that place. I can see why now. But that makes me hesitate to accept a discounted place again though.
No privacy in toilet/ shower. No stove besides microwave. The only washing up facility was a small basin in the shower/toilet room. Only two towels available for 3 adults.
But only the trash in the room that was not thrown out with used boxes lying in it.
Slept well. Room is neat but old. Plekkie is deteriorating, but the whole town is deteriorating. There was no friendly reception or welcome at all.
Maintenance is required. It would have been nice if they told us that the water could run out due to load shedding. The photos and the reality are not the same.
First, no one has the given cell no. not answered. We were placed in a smoking room (where else is such a thing allowed?) the bathroom which is barely shown in the photos is shocking. There is no finer finish. The bathroom mat is in strips. The room has no direct window. No bedside lights.
Cold rooms, no heating. The electric blanket only worked on one side of the bed. No advice on times of load shedding. Had to request a WiFi password. TV remotes were not working properly, difficult to change channels and sound.
Glass and lattice door broken. Sheets thinly washed and stained. Blankets old and heavy. Pillows lumpy and hard. Shower floor creepy. Ten pillows on the bed, with no place to put them. Not enough plugs for kettle, microwave, heater and bathroom light which all have to get power from one plug. Kettle must stand on the floor and boil.
The kitchen is without a stove and no cloths/soap to wash dishes. Air conditioner only worked for a while and the roof fan not at all. Lounge set old and loincloth. Bathroom sink inside the shower area. Sink faucet loose (already reported by reviews before). No braai facilities at room as advertised. Christo brought loose braaier. No security (perhaps unnecessary in Colesberg?).
Didn't get room that was confirmed for me. Bathroom rugs dirty. Only one chair in room.
Investigate yourself. Should have just taken previous feedback into account.
Place is shabby, dirty, badly located and definitely not worth R780/night. Avoid at all times. If they are not actually upgraded, they will expire entirely. Moldy walls, shower leaking, terrible curtain and generally not even 1 star.
No, the room was not clean at all. It was damn hot and the fan they gave was dirty and didn't work.
The owner knew we wanted to barbecue and she encouraged us to do so. There was no bowl to put salad in, no bowl to put meat in, no wine glasses, no barbecue tongs to handle meat with, no trash at the barbecue area, barbecue grills are old and rusty. The pool is very dirty and unkempt. Towel in one bathroom was shaved. TV is so high against the wall that you have to get on the bed and hope you reach the switch, it can't be turned on with a remote. Very dangerous for older people. One unit's bathroom only had an emergency light with very poor lighting.
What is advertised and what is reality are not the same at all. Private bathroom is not private. No service received, was only informed by a worker that the room was ready. Clock hours also differ from each other. No service received from the owner or manager, even after complaints.
Confusing arrival. Room was terrible! Aircon broken. Fans run like petrol generators as they whine. Pillows on the bed look dirty and old. Yard in terrible condition. Looks like one big "dump yard".
Wil never ever use lekkeslaap again misleading with old photos on your app.
Photos need to be updated please. The photos do not reflect how it looks now. We were put in a different room than we had booked. The kitchenette is not adequately equipped, the bathroom door cannot close and the air conditioning does not work effectively. We also inquired about braai, but to get to the braai you have to go out of the yard and re-enter through another gate. So was not safe.
To start, there was nobody to receive us. Signage not clear of where to go. Air con was not working in the room. No windows in the room, resulting in it being very hot. No security on the sliding door, could not open the door for fresh air or cool air. Crockery was chipped. No info was shared about wifi password.
Very peaceful atmosphere, clean and tidy.
A wonderful place for family - safe and clean. We loved every bit of the place.
Very very friendly staff and helpful.
We were very satisfied.
Looks very peaceful and looks like there could be a lot of history.
Clean, neat, secure and friendly. My first choice whenever I travel from Gauteng to Western Cape.
Good service, and nice, clean unit.
We arrived late, 21:30, and left early, 03:30, as we had a deadline at destination. No time to really evaluate, filled our requirements.
See stars.
Only stayed over for one night on the way back to Pretoria, but was pleasantly surprised with the accommodation.
As advertised and more, nice halfway to Cape Town sleepover.
Thank you for the nice hospitality!
Just overnight with baby. Was comfortable and staff helpful.
You get value for what you pay for.
Conveniently located just off the main route N1 within walking distance of restaurants and shopping centres.
Friendly welcome and the rooms were spacious & tidy.
It's located next to the mountains with a beautiful view when waking up.
It was our second overnight stay at De Vuur Gastehuis.
Very clean room and friendly staff.
Travelled from Cape Town to JHB and stopped here for the evening. Not far off the highway. There are shops/takeaways near by. All friendly staff and very convenient. Very neat and tidy. Very happy. Will definitely return here, should I travel the long road again.
Very friendly. Quiet area, no passing traffic in front of the place.
We recommend the nice place to everyone.
Please get more info on restaurants in the area that are open until or have the option of meals within the enquiry process.
The overnight accommodation was great.
De Vuur Gastehuis has a peaceful atmosphere.
The room is comfortable and gives off a homely feel, if only about the experience a small town guest house feel. Great fan, fridge that cools well and large shower. More than can be expected for the price per night. Overall a very nice stay. Previous reviews are excessively complaining compared to the cost of accommodation. Would definitely suggest for an overnight or long weekend.
The room is clean and tidy and the security is excellent.
It was a pleasant experience. Everything worked and we took advantage of it. It was also nice to be able to relax in the garden.
Can replace powdered milk with fresh milk.
Rooms and bathroom were clean, and well maintained.
Everything was nice and tidy and value for money for a family traveling. Pizza ordered from their restaurant and was indeed a very nice Pizza.
Was pleasant and friendly service.
Summary needs to be adjusted because there is no gym. Note, room 5 is open plan and bathroom which only has a shower curtain may be a problem for other travellers.
I enjoyed my stay at the BnB, as I was traveling to Cape Town, place was well prepared and clean, it is located in a quiet place and this allowed us a good rest for the journey on the following day.
Nice quiet environment.
Very cute place to sleep over. Little ones. Everything you need is there. Your vehicle is also securely locked.
Very central, just walking distance from restaurants.
Bed was warm and very comfortable.
Good bed and amenities, pocket-friendly price. Good personal attention by driver.
This was our third time with you.
The unit is spacious and comfortable. It was neat and clean. We would definitely consider this again as a stopover in Colesberg.
Will definitely stay there again.
Very quiet by the stream, parking and accommodation safe with a gate that is locked in the evening. Room is tidy with everything needed, microwave, small fridge, knives and forks etc. Good service with warning about load shedding times. Cute braai corner and swimming pool. Bathroom only had a bathtub, but soap was provided. Bed slept quite comfortably, it was 2 single beds, which my husband and I just had to move towards each other. The reservation did say a double bed. But we still had a very nice stay.
It is value for money and ample space, garden etc. a little neglected, but acceptable. The power went out due to lightning, but the receptionist immediately came to help (in the rain).
Very nice and comfortable place to stay.
Quiet place to stay.
A trash can in the living area would be nice. The fan makes a lot of noise. Have to put on weights to balance. Plenty of coffee and tea was available. The gate right by our room was a problem with guests coming in late. No privacy if you sit on the porch and the gate makes a lot of noise.
I cannot comment too much as I arrived late & left early. It was a cheap stay.
Beautiful guest house with good quality beds and beautiful bedding. Clean pool.
Good location, not far from N1. Customer service could improve because the people who receive you barely talk to you. Adequate parking. Units are neatly furnished. There was not a drum in our unit.
Comfortable overnight facility.
It was Ok'erig, very little furniture, not like in the pictures. The reception was impersonal and the security gate did not work well. The sliding door could not be locked from the inside either. At least clean and tidy. Could have had an extra thick blanket - it was very cold outside but bed was comfortable. TV's remote did not work well. Price was very good, so one cannot expect the room to be luxurious. For one night's sleepover, this is a good place. I will stay there again if I travel alone again. Can also provide bedside lamps.
See stars.
Accommodation was very pleasant, was a nice quick stopover.
Beautiful decor, easy to find, air conditioner was very welcome and my dogs slept comfortably in my room with me.
Calm atmosphere. Owners friendly and very helpful. Safe and nice place to spend the night.
The place is ideal for an overnight stay. Convenient and safe.
More than sufficient for one or 2 nights' overnight stay.
Hot water, warm bed, comfortable for overnight.
Will stay there again. Very affordable.
Water pressure was very weak, could not shower comfortably. Would also love a small dining room table to eat at.
Everything was pretty neat and a bonus that we could take pets with us. The aircon in the rooms was also very welcome.
As an overnight stay, one cannot ask for too much. There was sufficient available to be comfortable.
WiFi didn't work. No hand soap. Receptionist is ignorant.
See stars.
Little things bothered me like e.g. no bench to put a suitcase on. No chair in room. A file with information e.g. WiFi password, restaurants that can be recommended, how to get there, there is a takeaway menu but the phone number is wrong. Small container of fresh milk for tea. Some biscuits.
Upon arrival, the venue was difficult to identify and there was no one at reception. Other guests had to go call a worker who showed me the unit and described the process to leave if it was before they opened the gate in the morning. Airconditioner did not work. This is a hands-off business. Customers arrive, sleepover and leave.

Cheap but very basic.

We had no hot water to shower with, the whole bathroom is soaking wet because there is no shower partition, you then have to walk across the dangerously wet floor to the sink where the faucet is broken, rude, unprofessional reception and the reception area looks like a gym storage room, the room and building and premises are very neglected and we were very disappointed for the price one pays. You can't even fill the kettle with water at the sink because the faucet's spout sits right against the sink edge.
Internet did not work. TV's remote control did not work.
Old and worn. stuck on
After a long way, we arrived in front of the guest house. There is no indication of where we should go and no reception office either. I called and after the 3rd try they answered me. The pool was dirty and our room needed a good clean and paint. Would not recommend anyone to use De Vuur.
Clean and tidy room. WiFi would be nice.
My husband spent the night there. The TV wouldn't turn on, the remote was faulty and then had to stay on all night after someone came to turn it on. There was no soap at the sink for washing hands (dispenser empty). There was no garbage can, no bedside lamp either (had to get out of warm bed to turn off big light if you wanted to read). The hostess did not appear friendly at all, rather irritated when she was asked about something. Very disappointing compared to many other guest houses we have used before in Colesberg.
Although we booked room 1, we got room 2 with a double bed for me and my 24 year old daughter. We were offered another room but did not accept it. Condition of the room is not as desired.
The unit had a small kitchen but there was no sink so to fill the kettle I had to use the bathroom sink. Maybe a single sink there is a good idea?
The fridge didn't work. Our overnight food has gone bad because the fridge doesn't cool. The roof fan makes a noise and you cannot use it. There is no ventilation except for the sliding door which you cannot leave open at night.
Sink faucet and sink loose. Shadownet makes noise and activates security light all the time. Loadshedding with no alternative light, no candles or anything. The children's mattresses are just springs and fluff. If you run a guest house, you must take note of the minimum requirements. The place was clean. Thank you.
The security gate of the room I slept in was flimsy, the door struggled to lock. The TV's remote wouldn't work and I had to try to turn on the TV with the buttons and when I finally got it right, there was no sound. The shower(door) was also problematic. For a quick stay, this is an OK room, the bed is large and the detail OK. I felt unsafe, so it would be nice if the bookings might ask how one travels. As a lady alone I would have preferred if I had slept inside a yard.
If it wasn't for the R300 gift card, I wouldn't have stayed there. I have stayed at many other places there, and this was the worst place. I wanted to check in somewhere else, but couldn't use the R300 there.
There had been no trash can or chair in the room. So you can't throw anything away or leave your bag, handbag, or other similar item anywhere, except on the floor when you sleep. The bathroom has nowhere to put your toiletry bag or toiletries when you shower. The lighting is poor with no bedside lamps or any other light, except the main light from the ceiling fan which does not illuminate everything. Our room's light blew through the night and no one was available to replace it as the person who unlocks the room went home at 5 and we had no idea how to contact anyone so they could replace it not. Luckily we had an emergency light, otherwise we would have had to work with the mobile phone's light. The room is just unlocked, but there is no welcome or any other form of communication, like "welcome - enjoy the stay" or "please come again" or something like that. Therefore, we did not feel welcome and would not recommend the accommodation to anyone else. The room's sliding door was broken and you can open the safety beam door with one pull when it is locked. So we didn't feel safe. The biggest problem, however, is that the accommodation is advertised as self-catering. There is nowhere to wash plates or cutlery if you want to use them again the next morning for breakfast, except the sink in the bathroom where you have to brush your teeth and wash your face? There is a complete lack of attention to detail and one gets the feeling that everything is merely maintained from visit to visit. It was not a pleasant experience at all and we would not recommend it to anyone.
In terms of sleeping space, the beds were clean and tidy. This was sufficient for us because they allowed our animals. Unfortunately none of our power plugs worked and we couldn't use the fridge in our room. We also had no hot water.
The December price is a bit much for what you get. Would not stay there again myself. They really need to start doing maintenance on the building and put a little extra effort into the basic decor. Better quality toilet paper please, I don't want to read the newspaper before I use it. A bathroom mat will help a lot, just one before the bath or shower. Make sure the curtain arrangements work correctly - so that you can at least close and open them comfortably. Then everything that needs to be attached to the wall - check it. The roof fans make a lot of noise. Doors have difficulty closing or opening and closing. Then better communication with the reception. I let them know early that we were going to have a late check-in around 7 o'clock, and was asked to call again an hour before we got there so that maybe arrangements could be made with the keys. The person who answered then was rude and didn't even know about any arrangements and that we did let us check in. So on the way back I didn't even bother to let them know we were going.
Poor quality TV and shower. Aircon not working.
Wall mounted geyser came loose and caused damage to my car that was in the parking bay.
The crockery was too few for the number of guests booked for. Some of the crockery was dirty and washing up facilities very limited. Second room we booked has no window. Will not return.
Not the room we booked. Cold room 64m² with slate floor without a mat or two. Air conditioner not working. No heater. Front door does not close tightly. Wind comes through. No bedside lamps. Shower without partition. Entire bathroom splashes full of water. Reception unprofessional. Lady sitting/lying in blanket. Really think the website needs to be reconsidered. On a positive note, the venue was clean and tidy.
Bathroom looks like a prison cell. No mats on the floor. Only shower curtain on loose rail (that fell off wall) separating bathroom from room. Bathroom has no privacy, wall doesn't go to the roof, so everything is an open unit. Only one of the three beds had an electric blanket on it and it was -4 degrees when we spent the night there. Couldn't get hold of the owner when we had to check in and waited a very long time before he arrived. Will never use this accommodation again nor recommend it. There are much better value for money guest houses in Colesberg.
There are quite a few guest houses in Colesberg that offer more at the same rates, such as WiFi. Room is extremely basic, bathroom does not have a door. Lights in the bedroom are not sufficient. I can't think on what grounds they are a preferred vendor.
Didn't get the room we booked. No inernet access on w-ifi.
Area of house did not make me feel safe. Pictures of place versus how it actually is, are very different. Had a very different feel to the place. Aware rooms were open, but not aware that the bathroom was also in the open (wall not to the ceiling for example). No door to the bathroom, just like a curtain as a door. Place was not untidy, however, did not give a feeling of being clean. Chairs are broken and the material looked greasy. Bedding looked very outdated and did not give a feeling that it was clean. I decided to leave the place and continued driving back to Gauteng, as I felt I would not get a comfortable night's rest.
Needs a lot of attention. Lots of broken stuff. Cupboard doors fall off. Shower cubicle loose. Toilet cistern loose. Was promised wifi, never got it.
Moldy smell in room. No access to garden with pet - street facing room. No Wifi. Safety gate to be lifted off floor to lock. TV remote not working.
No aircon needed a coat of paint and some tlc was not as expected or what we saw on your website.
The reception room is pathetic, and the black-stained ceiling looks like it's going to collapse at any moment. There is no air conditioning in the room. The boiler is not working. The front door does not lock, and the security gate requires 2 people to close it. The TV remote's batteries were dead, and I had to get mine out of my car before we could watch TV. As of 5:00 p.m., there was no one on site to help with anything. No bedside lamps and no chair in the room. The creaking of the bed kept both me and my wife awake most of the night. Upon departure at 07:50 (and we were the last guests to leave) there was still no one at reception, and apparently keys are left under the doormat on the porch next to the street. Not a good experience at all, and more expensive than other accommodations?
Bathroom/kitchen impractical.
The place was dirty. The doors were broken. The place smelled musty. Although there were two of us, we had a bed that only fit one person. There is a big difference between as advertised and reality. I felt very unsafe. We struggled to book in as there was no service.
No one to welcome us. Not arranged with us that the key is under the rug. Toilet seat broken. Bed terrible noise, our bathroom was poor. We use the website regularly and have never been so disappointed.
I paid R480 and will not sleep there. It gives the wrong impression of a place. I had to find another guest house that night to be able to sleep safely and cleanly.
We enjoyed it and will definitely stay there again.
Awesome place for an overnight stay.
Lovely spot for a rest after a long drive, room was clean and the bed super comfortable.
Spacious with everything needed for overnight visit.
I felt very welcome. I traveled by bus and the owners made a special effort to pick me up and drop me off at the petrol station outside the town at impossible times - late at night and early in the morning. Free. I had a great time. All the basic amenities are there to make life comfortable for travelers.
Very affordable, neat, fair and everything you need for a place to sleep!
We were so tired, just slept and moved on early. Thanks for your help.
Parents were very pleased with unit and location.
I was very happy with the accommodation.
Spacious with lovely comfortable bed.
My car gave problems and we had to stay another day. Without hesitation Surita met us and that was much appreciated. The location is good in Coleberg and the three quality restaurants are within walking distance of De Vuur's wharf.
Room was neat. There was everything one needs. It was so safe, we could keep the sliding door open, with only the safety door closed because it was so hot. Ideal location with the babbling of the stream in the background. Oh yes, we really enjoyed the friendly house cat.
This guest house is really a place where you can switch off and relax. The beds are comfortable, everything you need is there and the staff is very friendly.
My dogs and I had the suite facing the pool, and as there were no other people using that side of the house, we had the whole pool, braai and bar area and lovely terraced garden to ourselves. The dogs loved it so much, they slept outside (until early in the morning). For my house dogs to do that, you must know that they have given it the five paws approval rating. Food was ordered through the owner's restaurant, and the chops were great. Loved being able to cool down in the pool, and know that my dogs were safely enclosed, yet had a big garden to run around in.
We come all the way from Limpopo to sleep at De Vuur when we reach Hartenbos halfway. Will do this every year.
It's a great stopover when driving the Johannesburg Cape Town route and feel like you're still on holiday or starting your holiday.
Would have liked a shelf in the shower cubicle and also by the sink.
It's good value for money.
My visit was very comfortable. The electric blanket and complimentary coffee and tea helped a lot on the cold night I slept over. The sliding door had trouble opening, but the customer service made up for it.
Reception was friendly, menu was provided for delivery meal. Service was good and room was neat and clean. Absolutely no complaints, we felt very much at home and my cats could stay too!
Friendly people and nice old house.
Room was clean. Very friendly service. Everything was very simple and easy. Checked in, checked out, paid - no problems except for two lights that didn't work.
Comfortable stay and close to restaurants.
Good stop over accommodation
We had a nice stay there and would recommend it with the greatest love.
Neat, but it needs a little maintenance.
The staff is very friendly and helpful. Very safe and quiet. Would recommend De Vuur Gastehuis anytime.
The staff is very friendly and helpful.
We enjoyed our stay a lot and it was very good value for money. We would have just liked to have seen someone on the premises as there were times we felt a bit unsure.
Very neat, friendly owners. Very accommodating. Absolutely worth it. Ideal for an overnight stay as part of the trip, and to complete your trip the next day.
Neat place with sufficient facilities.
Value for money, clean tidy room, can order in dinner from nearby restaurant. Was a cold evening, but the bed had an electrical blanket. Tea and coffee also provided in the room.
Place is clean. Friendly welcome. Furniture old but serves its purpose. Beds comfortable. Electric blankets were welcome.
The room very tidy with everything needed for a peaceful and comfortable sleep. Staff very friendly. Parking somewhat of a problem.
The room is nice and spacious, clean and tidy, with everything we need for an overnight stay. Close to the main street with all the restaurants.
It is very peaceful and the rooms are neat.
Have stayed here before.
Well equipped for overnight stay. Just want to suggest that a door be fitted to the bathroom for privacy. There is plenty of room and it will make a big difference.
House keeping not very good. Appliances not practical. TV didn't work either.
We slept over on a Sunday night. Unfortunately the kitchen was closed and we had to drive around trying to get food. I would advise that you might have a toasted cheese sandwich or packet of chips and soft drink available on a Sunday.
Everything needed for an overnight destination.
Very nice stay but towels were very hard and old.
Ideal for a stopover. Will definitely use De Vuur Guest House again. Short of a chair and a litter box in the room.
The room has everything you need.
Short stay but very comfortable although a bigger heater would have been nice for the bitter cold!
Cute place that was adequate for us.
Patio door wheels need to be replaced. Door derails and causes difficulty to get back on track to be able to close door. Other than that, no problem.
Booked at the last minute, and was lucky to get the last room. Was good value for money, the room was clean and tidy, and we would definitely recommend it.
The fridge is tiny. It is difficult to prepare most drinks or things to eat. Perhaps a kitchen sink or cupboard will work well.
Neat and peaceful place. You can even hear the mosquitoes buzzing. After 1600 kilos on one it was worth it. Will definitely stay again.
Towels a little frayed and sink drain very slowly. Otherwise pleasant and slept well.
Suggestions: Trash basket in room please. and bedside lamps please
The lights in our unit were not working and did not receive attention except for a lady who was willing but could really not do anything. (Fortunately, thanks to Eskom's load shedding, we carry a suitable light.) A number of small things could be attended to - e.g. a bigger dustbin, a plug for the bathroom basin, the bathroom door doesn't close (fit).
The rooms have no windows that can open.
Neat and friendly service but ventilation was a problem in the bathroom and room.
The shower head is covered with limescale which impairs the water supply. Furthermore, friendly welcome, basic but comfortable. Just overslept (arrived late and drove early). Everything needed was there. Get what you pay for.
Although clean and tidy, the room smelled like mothballs and we had to use air freshener to get rid of the smell. The sliding door wouldn't close, it was a big struggle. Room not aesthetically pleasing. We expected more. The fan was very good!
No night light, which would have been great.
Reception was good, but it's hard to get hold of someone on site afterwards. There was a power outage, please provide battery lamp or candle. The gate to parking was open all night.
See stars.
Just make sure your bedrooms don't smell of smoke, the room stank and the smoke seeped into the bedding. For non-smokers it was very unpleasant smell.
I took advantage of a discount offered by the website, so the overnight stay was very cheap. Didn't like the room much though. Normal double bed was too small for us. No bedside lamps, no mats in front of the bed or chair in the room. No small table in bathroom where clothes or things can be put. No window, just sliding door. Sliding door and gate need attention. There was a small fridge and coffee/tea with powdered milk. Car is safe behind sliding gate which we locked.
For what they offer they should not be charging so much. The kitchen area totally inadequate as self-catering!
Rooms are neat, would book again anytime for a peaceful night after such a long drive, guests can book for peace of mind.
The place doesn't look like the pictures at all. I was very disappointed. The place needs urgent repairs.
Room has no ventilation. Just sliding door. If we were to close the sliding door completely it would be very stuffy. No door to bathroom which makes it uncomfortable with privacy. Sliding door to unit was broken and we had to struggle to get it open and closed.
Needs a bin in kitchen. Not too keen on curtain for bathroom door.
We grilled some meat in the braai area which was nice.
The place looks a bit run down. Kitchen still had dirty cups.
Very disappointed. Especially because they are also known as a preferred partner. The place needs an urgent upgrade, also no air conditioners as advertised.
I book my stay according to the photos. What we got was definitely not the same. Place is so neglected. No trash and bedside lamps in room. When we got there we wanted to rest a bit in the afternoon, but the staff were so noisy and talking loudly that it was impossible. I definitely would not have booked there if I had known how it looks there now.
The room was dark with black tiles, black walls and no side lamps by the bed. Front door has gaps. A person could see into the room from outside. The kitchen was not well equipped.
Very basic amenities. Must provide own bathroom toiletries (except toilet roll). Bed and pillows not very comfortable. Shower has a cheap shower head so water sprays in every direction, therefore very hard to have a decent shower and washing off the soap takes long as you need to collect water in your hands and rinse off. If you don't mind some noise then you will enjoy the town clock bells going off every hour on the hour to tell the time.
The photos and the reality are not the same. I don't want to take any business away from anyone in the times, but the owners will have to look at paying attention to the rooms/units. No soap in kitchenette, no hand soap in bathrooms, towels felt like canvas and were frayed, faucets were loose, paint 'chipped' off walls and doors, etc. We did pay little for the accommodation and therefore it was considered 'value for money' in its current state but if they fail to look after the guest house, there will soon be no more business. The guest house has real potential but it seems as if it is not a priority at the moment.
Not even windows in the rooms. Poor security door and not quality accommodation. If you want fresh air in the room, the sliding door must be left open. Reception not up to standard. Shower looked uninviting and dark.
Disappointing. Although clean, the place is touted as fantastic!
We did not have a good experience. At one point we thought we were at the wrong guest house. Good points: Clean. Bed slept well. Electric blanket on bed. Secure parking. The owners have the right idea, it just seems like they have a bit of 'let go'. After all, it was clean although the room smelled very badly of smoke. As a non-smoker it was really not nice. It looks more like a backpackers.
The shower was a challenge. Very little water coming out there. Thank goodness for electric blanket though. Room could do with a bedside lamp as well. Not a pleasant winter experience. But okay for a stop & go.
De Vuur's surroundings made me feel a little uncomfortable. The room was neat though. No door in front of the bathroom was also an awkward situation.
Church bell was a bit of a nuisance.
Awesome reception. Price reasonable for value. Locking gate but not closed. Privacy is important so a door will mean a lot to the toilet. A little soap would help. Fan unreachable for old people and wiring on wall very untidy. Suggest get a door, leave a soap and put wires in trucking. Then 100% value for money.
Arrived at De Vuur after we had been on the road for a long time only to be told that the website had only booked 1 room and not 2. I was told I could book the family room when we return on 11-01-2021, the person made the booking. Arrived there on the 11th only to hear that no booking had been made. So service was very, very bad.
Braai area untidy and not up to standard at all. Pool dirty. Hurdle falls apart. Shade net for vehicle sloppy and serves no purpose. Impractical bathroom. No light to use mirror. My feeling was that R800 is hopelessly too much for 1 night. Compare with other places. I still don't know what the hostess looks like. No one came to ask if we were ok either. I canceled the next stay and thus lost R400 with a smile. Photos and reality do not agree.
The smell of the deodorant block in the bathroom was overwhelming in the room, had to sleep with the door open due to a headache from the block. The towels worn and thinly washed. Furniture and fittings really sparse, no mirror in the room for hair drying etc. No place in the bathroom to put something down, eg bathroom bag. Think a table under the super small fridge could work well and maybe a little bit of milk in the fridge for the coffee and tea.
No privacy at bathroom, didn't have a door only, sheer curtain, light in bathroom didn't work, no power at fridge and kettle. No safety clips on window.
No host or hostess to welcome you. Not enough hot water after a long day's drive. Toilet not in good working order. Host came to check and apologized, but it was Sunday afternoon and could only be fixed the next day.
Reception was friendly, although the lady could not inform us about some basic things. The room was clean, but the environment (garden) was really not good. Can actually say it looks bad. Chairs and tables in outdoor bar are broken and dilapidated! Pool very dirty. Photos on networks look like photos from 3 years ago! Takeaway in the evening was very nice and apparently the same owner.
No extra toilet paper, no window in room, bathroom window and other windows have no handles!
Floor mats broken. There is no light or mirror in the bathroom. The whole faucet is loose. I would not recommend it to anyone.
Didn't even have towels in the room.
On arrival, the woman who received us was not very friendly and helpful. We are still waiting for WiFi password. No soap in bathroom, no bathroom door. Pet friendly with an open gate, I had to keep puppy inside pretty much all the time. Lace curtain, full of holes!
De Vuur cannot be described as an overnight facility, sorry to have to say it so bluntly. The photos on the web page are misleading, they create the impression of a modern, cute little place. However, has been totally neglected.
The room was very poor with no windows. The linen was torn. There is no kitchenette where you can fill the kettle, so you have to use the bathroom. The security gate can be easily bypassed from the porch.
I will not recommend the place to anyone at all until owners don't pay serious attention to place. Blinds wouldn't even close, owner had to come fix it, no light in bathroom. Faucet in bathroom sink left on. Overall place is not up to standard at all.
Security door is mancolic. Sliding door came off the tracks with the entry stroke. There is no cement under the front door, just a hole in the floor. The sink is in the shower. A broken rug was placed in the shower. The paint is coming off the walls next to the front door. There is simply a hollow core door between unit 3 and 4. Any conversation can be heard. There in no bedside lamps. There is no chair to sit on. Not a closet to hang clothes in there.
While the inside of the room was not bad, the outside was terrible. No beautiful sparkling pool and garden as seen in the photos. Very dilapidated property and not sure how this can still be operating as a guest house. Very disappointed.
Clogged drain with an odor. Roof fan not working. Cups were dirty. Security gate has difficulty opening and closing. Difficulty locking glass door, lock was faulty. Ants on bed. No punters in room. There is no ventilation in room.
We rested very well for the next road trip. Would definitely recommend it to others.
Safe and peaceful environment.
Very conveniently placed to all the historical sites and places of interest.
The place was very clean and tidy, would stay there again anytime.
Reception and service were excellent. The room was very neat and clean.
Comfortable. It was good to find a place where animals and children were welcome!
Nothing to tell. Was very tired and went to bed early and drove early.
Had a tranquil night, thank you.
Slept very well, very tidy and good customer service.
The hostess was friendly and helpful.
The room was comfortable but unfortunately smelled of tobacco smoke. My shower was also very cold the next morning. Other than that I had a nice stay.
Bathroom basin tap is loose. Bathroom floor looks like a construction in progress. Toilet seat is flimsy piece of plastic. Coffee table only has 3 legs, so be careful not to apply too much pressure on the point missing a leg. Ceiling fan/light is very, very dim and keeps room quite dark. Otherwise, a great room to crash for one night.
Very friendly owners who carried me on their hands. Very good value for money.
We enjoyed the company of the cat, Kat Kat.
Christo and Surita went out of their way to make our stay enjoyable. The pizzas from their restaurant are delicious, the rooms are spacious and clean, and the area is very quiet. The limescale in the town water is blocking some of the shower head's outlets, but a little vinegar will fix that. Thank you very much, Christo and Surita. We had a very nice stay.
Lovely clean comfy beds. Spacious room with coffee facilities. Will be back.
There is only 1 street in the town with a street name so keep the printed directions handy!
Unit was sufficiently furnished for overnight stay, not longer stay.
Dirty spoon, no Cremora, no soap in the bathroom. I guess you get what you pay for.
No windows to the outside and on a hot Karoo night the ceiling fan, which sits very high, is insufficient to cool the room. The pillows are far too high to rest your head in comfort. Good mattresses. Room clean and tidy. Just one small trash can and it's in the bathroom. The sliding door's entire handle fell off when we tried to lock it from the inside. Sink taps are loose and cupboard doors don't work. Maintenance is a bit neglected. A window will help a lot with light and air in the unit. Still enjoying a good night's rest.
Would have preferred that the room had air conditioning. At least swimming pool could cool me down a bit.
The facilities were good and the two rooms we rented were tidy. Quiet area and it felt safe. A plus was the safe as I always take my firearm with me. Unfortunately no one told us the water was off throughout the night and early morning. It's quite frustrating when you've driven a long way and can't shower or use the toilet. Maybe you should just point it out to the guests in advance and/or consider a water tank. Still slept well. Thank you.
Just overnight, the price is justified. Lighting is really poor.
Thank you very much for the kind reception. Everything was clean, but unfortunately the place urgently needs a makeover. Remember bedding is of utmost importance and must be of good quality. A bar of soap by the sink would be appreciated, especially in this day and age. Thanks to the owners who kept my caroo sheep nice and cold for me, really appreciate it.
The rooms would benefit if mosquito nets were implemented.
Location is not very good.
Wasn’t great at all!
Too few towels, pillows and throws dirty (not washed). Cat hair on all the beds. Cat climbed through the window at night and slept on the bed. My husband is hyperallergic and could not see through his eyes next morning. Said there was WiFi, but there wasn't. It was expensive for one night's sleep not value for money.
Sal nie aanbeveel nie.
We would like to say what mistakes are, otherwise they will not be aware. Bedroom and sitting room half lights do not burn. No bedside lamps. Wi-fi doesn't work. Only one kitchen faucet and not functional. Washbasin faucet loose. Sink too small. During the shower, the entire floor in the bathroom is wet. Not a nice experience.
Not for a discerning traveller expecting frills and personal attention.
The accommodation is located in the town centre, but difficult to reach due to narrow street and poor references. Our GPS took us to the wrong place three times before we got to De Vuur. We were not received by the hostess, but someone else who was not really involved. The space is very large but unpleasantly dark. Everything is black, the floor is made of black, smooth stone, the walls are mostly black and where there was still a small mat (not by the bed) it slides terribly and is dangerous. The bathroom is extremely uncomfortable and the door does not close tightly. At least the bed is big and our sleep was comfortable and warm. Hot water is readily available. However, what is a big problem and is very misleading is that the WiFi that was advertised does not work at all and that the person who was approached about it made no effort to solve our problem.
Sad and tired. No reception staff on arrival or departure. No aircon. Only a tired ceiling fan. No insulation in roof or ceiling. No breakfast offered. This place is an embarrassment to the SA hospitality industry!
No bedside lights or air conditioner. Bad smell in the room. Poor security.
Dirty/too little parking/not up to standard compared to other overnight facilities for the same rate.

The host was friendly and welcoming. The accommodation was value for money. We were stopping over for the night however it made us feel like we are going to stay for days. Rooms very clean and neatly decorated.
De Vuur Guest House was comfortable, helpful and tidy. I will book there again in the future.
Very nice place, they might put milk in the fridge for us to buy and some biscuits.
We will take a detour just to sleep over there again!
Thank you for your assistance, since the moment I booked. The accommodation was neat and nicely furnished and everything needed could be at hand. A big bonus is that the place is not near the N1, because believe you me, those vehicles rage through the night. Sincere thanks.
The best overnight facility we've ever had in Colesberg, thank you guys.
We were warmly welcomed, always feeling safe and enjoying the neat guest house and beautiful surroundings.
The reception was excellent. Upon our arrival, the owner met us and immediately took us to our room and explained everything clearly. She was friendly and full of energy. Thank you very much!
Pleasantly surprised, very friendly owner.
No problems. Great value for money.
Thank you very much. The owners and place are 10 out of 10 they bend over backwards for their guests. Neat and clean again, thank you very much.
The stay was very nice. Easily found. Tidy.
De Vuur guest house is a fantastic guest house to stay at. However, only choose the king room if possible. On a return trip from Cape Town to JHB, we first slept in another room and then on the way back in the king room. The king room is fantastic. The other room (can't remember the name) was also good, except that a shade sail was stretched against one of its walls which made noise all night when the wind blew. Furthermore, it is a really nice guest house to sleep at and we were very kindly welcomed and accommodated at 11:00 pm upon our arrival.
Fantastic accommodation. Great location. Very comfortable beds. Beautifully decorated. Well equipped. Very spacious. Friendly and welcoming hosts. I would highly recommend.
All in all, I loved my stay and would 100% recommend it! The owners made me feel very comfortable from the beginning.
I travel often for business as well as pleasure, and I can definitely recommend this place. Surita & Christo were particularly friendly and welcoming upon our arrival. The rooms are spacious and clean. The price is also very good, so definitely value for money. Thank you very much for your hospitality!
The hostess was friendly, phoned us to find out what time we were coming and greeted us as we arrived. The room was clean, towels provided. Lovely little cold drink shop on premises. What made it special for me is the cute and friendly cat that made me feel at home.
Good value for money. Friendly reception and everything you want for a short stay in Colesberg.
The accommodation is animal-friendly and located on a quiet side street. The owners are friendly and accommodating. Vehicles are behind a locked gate with palisade.
Would recommend De Vuur guest house to anyone. Thank you for your kindness and help with our late arrival. The room's cleanliness was great. Thank you for a very nice overnight stay. Will definitely stay again.
Will definitely use them again. Suggestion: Hang a curtain in front of bathroom entrance to ensure some privacy.
Could find the place very easy. It is beautifully clean, safe with the cutest rooms and a nice pool to relax.
Very accommodating, very clean and bed very comfortable.
Hostess very friendly. Excellent braai area and pool to relax. Felt very safe and also feeling that the guesthouse is run by very honest and genuine people. Will definitely use De Vuur Guesthouse again.
Calm surroundings and nice views. I would just suggest signage that there isn't a reception and that guests should phone for assistance. Other than that, it was a very nice stay.
The reception was very friendly and we were very comfortable. Unfortunately the promised WiFi was not available and we slept very uncomfortably on an unexpectedly lumpy bed. The nice big bath and air conditioning made up for it. We sleep there again on the 28th in another room.
See stars.
Very neat, clean and peaceful. Will definitely make use of their services again.
The service was outstanding because we immediately got a WhatsApp to confirm the booking and also the location of the guest house. We also arrived late, but were accommodated by the owners who kindly received us. We enjoyed the stay very much and will definitely use the guest house next time.
Very friendly reception, rooms comfortable and tidy. All that was a bit of a disturbance were the people using the gym on site.
The host could have mentioned about the gas geyser, that the hot water tap must be turned on fully, otherwise the gas geyser deactivates. We will not just sleep at De Vuur again. It's very minimalist - no chair or bench to put our bags on. The room or bathroom has no windows in it, only the sliding door, so we had no ventilation for the night. The mattress was soft, although the bedding was clean. The towels were hard and thin. The location was perfect for us. We walked the Old Dam walking trail. Just a pity about the littering on the route. However, the town is very clean and presented neatly.
Very central close to everything, neat room with all the basic facilities, pleasant place.
Everything was very nice. One problem, the shower leaks water and the drip of the water in the shower bothers if you want to sleep. I can't complain about anything else. Thanks, will turn again if I drive that way.
Great value for money, clean and comfortable. A real gem. B&B's of this quality are almost double the price. Even has free Wi-Fi included and TV.
One roof fan is making a noise. Hanging place needed. Light in bathroom.
Room spacious, kitchen and bathroom, everything you need. Might just recommend air conditioning.
The owners were very helpful, especially as we arrived quite late after many stops along the road, they went the extra mile to accommodate us, even helped us make sure the vehicles were safely behind a gate. However, we left very early the next morning, I wanted to ask the people more questions to look at the shade net that blows as abrasive as the wind, which can sometimes be somewhat disturbing after a whole day on the road, as well as just the pipe that has the curtains that close the bathroom should be mounted on the wall instead of just being left on the wall. Also, I would have appreciated it if they could just contact me, about our Sasol hot water bottle, which we accidentally left there. But other than that, the room was nicely furnished, the bed slept great.
Was clean, but generally not well maintained and a little neglected.
Great effort for our puppy. Slept well.
Very neat. Well received and had a good rest.
Was vriendeluk ontvang. Kamers is netjies en skoon, maar nie die prys werd. Ouens wat die gym op perseel gebruik is bietjie lawaaierig,
Lots of little things in our room that need to be improved for comfort and convenience. Fine for overnight stay, but we will not go back there.
I would not recommend it.
No water when we wanted to bathe at 05:00 in the morning. Towels were also rock hard, although not used. Mats, the like and room could be cleaner.
No windows in room or bathroom, cold with tiled floors and no bed mats or bedside lamps. Bed is uncomfortable and creaks terribly. Only sink is in the shower. Single electric blanket on a double bed, but the power went out almost all night, so there was no electricity anyway. One gets entangled in the bedding. There is only a small TV very high on the wall. The shower leaks, so that the floor of the bathroom and room is soaked. Photos of the guest house are misleading. We will not stay there again.
Very bad experience, very small stand fan and 1 roof fan, no air conditioning. We almost died from the heat. My husband wanted to go back to the Free State in the middle of the night, because he couldn't get any rest. Beds were full of ants biting. Really a bad experience.
I would not recommend the room by the pool at all. First place if the light is switched off then the roof fan also goes off. The small standing fan had no effect on the heat. There is no window to open to bring some relief into the baking oven. Photos on website misleading.
The outside of the guest house looks like a building collapse and the garden and pool are untidy. Bathroom does not have a door, only a curtain that is hung loosely on the wall.
No ashtray in room. Must wash cups in bathroom. Sheets look like someone has slept on them. Bunker bed full of ants. Had no hot water. Couldn't leave soon enough.
De Vuur was not very pleasant. It was very stuffy because there was no aircon. Beds were also not comfortable and clean. Sorry!
Worst guesthouse I have ever stayed in.
Will do so again and thank you very much for your kind service keep it up.
Very well located within walking distance of all the restaurants and OK. Friendly reception, neat rooms. Lovely place.
Children slept there and enjoyed it.
Very quiet area where the guest house is. It is also very safe there. The owner is a very friendly and pleasant person.
They are doing renovations on the outside. Once it's done, it will be a very nice overnight stop.
Very neat, safe place. Perfect for an overnight stay after a long journey. Bath and shower facilities. King size bed.
Had a great sleep. Very convenient.
No hassles, great accommodation.
Surita received us very kindly. Will stay there again for sure.
Always nice to stay at De Vuur Gastehuis. Our third visit. Will make use of them again. Very friendly and helpful.
Warm, comfortable, clean, well rested! A gem with the church bell in the background. We are driving to the Cape again in December and are looking forward to spending the night at De Vuur.
Well located. Provide all the basic needs.
The house was very neat and the area was peaceful. Everything was clean and in place.
We arrived quite late, later than we expected we would arrive. The owners were in contact with me on the day of arrival, even waiting at the gate to ensure that we were safe and comfortable.
We had a great overnight stop. Clean, neat, well situated.
Didn't even notice how cold it was outside. Was wonderfully warm inside.
Due to unforeseen car problems we could not make use of our booking at De Vuur Gastehuis, but the owners was very accommodating and offered to move our booking at no extra cost. Unfortunately the car problems forced us to miss out on their friendly offer a second night. Will definitely be staying here on our next trip. Thank you for your friendly help and assistance Surita!
It's a great place for an overnight stay. All amenities were good. The place is wheelchair friendly, but shower facilities might not be suiting all wheelchair users. The bed and blankets were cosy.
Found the guest house to be neat, clean and very comfortable. Owners very friendly and helpful.
Friendly service with secure parking and a nice braai area to relax. Everything one needs for an overnight trip.
It is always very nice to stay there. It's the second time that I sleep there. The owners are very helpful. Wonderful place to stay.
Friendly reception. Large room suitable for a family with everything needed for a comfortable overnight stay.
It's a very nice place, very neat, we slept great! The owners are very friendly, we will go there again!
The owners were very helpful and made us feel very much at home even though we arrived late.
The rooms were very neatly equipped. Friendly and helpful staff.
Nice and quiet. Will definitely stay there again on the way to the Cape.
We were received very kindly. Room where we slept was clean and tidy. Very nicely furnished. Might just put a fan on. Departure is very large for the mobile air conditioner.
Surita was helpful and friendly. The rooms were nice and clean.
Had a wonderful stay.
We had a very nice stay. Owners were very helpful. Would have loved to have an effective air conditioner in our room. It was very hot.
The accommodation was set up like a home. Lounge, dining table and the beds overlooking everything. The TV had full DSTV coverage which was very good for our daughter. When we arrived we were greeted by the friendly owners and the dogs. We asked them if we could freeze some our food in the deep freezer and they were happy to accommodate. Christo the owner even re-wrapped everything and packed it back in our cooler box by the morning. This is 5 star customer service as everything was comfortable. Will definitely go back with family on my next trip.
De Vuur guest house is a guest house with excellent service and offers rooms that are clean and tidy with everything you need. I would recommend De Vuur Gastehuis to anyone where they can feel free to spend the night before venturing further down the road.
We only got in after 20:00 and left before 08:00, so it was literally just a place to sleep. It was very affordable and the room was beautifully clean and lovely crisp bedding which was so nice to snuggle into after a long drive!
Very cute place to stay.
The place was just what I wanted. Safe parking, clean, comfortable and fully equipped with everything I needed. The bedding and towels were neat. I was impressed with the owner's hospitality and the way in which the guesthouse is managed. Thank you for the treat, I appreciated it very much.
De Vuur Gastehuis is tidy, everything works well, the price and what you get is in balance.
Very nice stay, friendly staff and cosy.
Excellent friendly service. Nice room. Arrived late with no problem. Slept well. Probably got a discount after a cancellation.
It was a pleasant place to stay overnight and would like to use De Vuur Gastehuis again. However, the following needs attention: the fridge did not cool, the shower tap was faulty and the Trellis door struggled to close.
We were pleasantly surprised with the spacious unit where we spent the night. Neat and well equipped. It was in a peaceful, quiet environment, but also within walking distance of shops and restaurants.
Received a friendly welcome from the owner on my arrival. The accommodation was spacious, clean and neat. Everything worked and I will definitely stay here again and recommend it. Excellent value for money.
Pet peaceful and considerate.
Ideal overnight facilities. Friendly reception and safe parking.
Nice stay. Thank you very much.
Very friendly reception.
It is very neat and clean, just a bit cramped for more than one person with a lot of luggage. Everything you need at your disposal.
This was an ideal place where we could lay our heads for an evening and rest for the next day's long drive back home. Colesberg is located almost exactly halfway between George and Gauteng, which makes the location even more ideal. The owners of De Vuur Gastehuis were very accommodating, and even made our three four-legged children feel at home. There was a beautiful garden where the children could play. The room was pretty modern and tidy. The guest house is located in a cul-de-sac so there are no unwanted feet walking past the rooms. Hope to visit De Vuur Gastehuis again!
We had a wonderful stay here. We only had to sleep one night on the way to Cape Town and back. The rooms are big and clean. The parking lot is safe. Restaurants are within walking distance. It was just very cold, but you wouldn't expect anything else from the heart of winter in the Great Karoo.
Is in a very quiet village with pleasant restaurants and close to the N1. Received great customer service and my expectations were definitely exceeded. Will definitely stop at De Vuur again if I have to spend the night on the long road.
De Vuur's atmosphere is just the medicine for a weary traveller.
Definitely worth it.
It was a good and comfortable place to stay. The decor was attractive and the room spacious and well laid out. One thing I did miss was easily accessible plug points to charge cell phones as well as a light on the bedside table.
Had a nice roast. Sleeping area was not very private.
Very friendly people. Groom room and shower are nice. Air-con might help with the heat.
See stars.
Nicely clean and centrally located.
Nice comfortable accommodation! Comfortable beds. Christo was very friendly and helpful. One suggestion for the bathroom if possible: build a wall to stop the shower water. Coffee at the reception. After a long drive we had a comfortable, safe and warm night!
We spent the night here on our way to Cape Town from Durban. It was a welcome stay after a long drive. We were greeted kindly when we arrived. Also arranged that we could be on our way early the next morning. Bed was nice and big and felt wonderfully rested the next morning.
TV isn't placed well and the room light is shining on it the whole time. The room doesn't have any bedside lamps. The light switches are located uncomfortably. Friendly reception. Didn't meet all my requirements.
The first time we were there the door handle of the toilet fell off - this time the unit would not lock from the outside when we went to dinner. When we left we could not get out of the parking area because we could not unlock the gate.
We arrived very late and the guest house's owner received us kindly and even helped us unhook our trailer. I gave cleanliness only two stars. The reason is that, although the linen was clean on the bed, the small decorative pillows were dirty, as was the couch. We also didn't have teaspoons the next morning to stir our coffee. It's small things, but very important.
Comfortable place to sleep for the night. Clean and tidy.
The black paint and the black stone tiles in the unit leave him terribly cold. The kitchen is very sparsely furnished. No ice in the freezer, no bottle opener. As in a previous comment, again no biscuits for morning coffee. The DStv remote control is gone. Seems like they only generate income but plow nothing into the unit.
Room was dark with no bedside lights. Bathroom hand basin and shower head not fixed. Shower impractical.
We specifically booked the King's Room, but we were given another room, which was a disappointment. It was clean and tidy though.
We were moved from a smaller room with air conditioner to another room to make room for the owner's friends. The particular room was very large with no heater or air conditioner. It was freezing at night, 2°C. The owner's dog also came crying at the door to come in at night. We cannot generalize, but due to weather conditions it was not very pleasant.
Owner accommodating with departure time and very nice. Room spacious and comfortable.
The family room is very spacious, beautifully decorated and clean. Unfortunately, the outside door is right on the parking area. So we couldn't keep it open for air to pass through, because other guests would then look straight into our room. We also woke up at 4:30 when they left again. There is a large screen TV with DStv and a mobile air conditioner. I would not recommend this place for people with teenagers as the beds are all together.
It was one of the coldest nights with no hot water and a blocked sink drain. We contacted the owner, who immediately went to see what the problem was. He reported back that someone had turned off the gas and that everything should be fine now. After two more attempts to get hot water for a hot shower, after a long day on the road, we just gave up. When they contacted us later that evening to see if we were okay, and we still confirmed that we only had cold water, we just took an ice cold bird bath in a clogged sink. No further attempt was made to sort out the problem on a bitterly cold evening. Really not a pleasant experience. Will look for another place to stay next time.
At least it was very clean.
De Vuur Gastehuis' pictures and reality differed slightly. We had a patio outside on the street. Would've liked to feel more safe (the security gate is not effective at all).
The advertisement and the reality are vastly different. The security gate and locks, for a room 2 meters from the road, are very weak. Feeling of total insecurity.
Budget room is neglected and not worth the money. No ventilation, no air conditioning, just a ceiling fan that sits so high that it doesn't make any impact. Suffocating. No mirror to care for hair. No comfort chair, just four wire chairs on the patio which is too high to be comfortable for a tired traveller. One gets the feeling of an outside room in someone's backyard. I would definitely not recommend it. There are better places to sleep in Colesberg. Swimming pool is green. Everything looks slap dash. I feel it is bundled together.
The people are just great, they made us feel so at home, when we saw each other again we were simply invited for a meal and a nice visit together and barbecue, my little girl enjoyed it so much and not to mention the pool of the beautiful garden, I will definitely call on them again for a very comfortable night's rest between Johannesburg and the Cape.
It is an old house but the accommodation is beautifully tidy and meets all the requirements for overnight facilities. The bed sleeps great. Breakfast was provided on request. Would definitely recommend it.
We were received very kindly and immediately felt welcome. The room is spacious and very neat and clean. Our little dog was also welcome here. Quiet environment and good night's rest.
The nicest overnight stay with the friendliest people! Everything is so beautiful and neat and clean. Until fresh water in the fridge! Thank you very much for the nice hospitality!
Huge bed and bathroom!
We recommend this place to anyone. Affordable and exceptionally neat, friendly reception and very helpful.
Owner and staff behavior is friendly and professional. Accommodation is five star quality.
We slept very well.
Friendly reception, helpful with trailer and safety. Large spacious room with separate kitchen.
Easy to find. Friendly staff and peaceful atmosphere.
Met well by the owners. Felt comfortable and safe. Very neat room and excellent bathroom.
We travelled with our 4 doggies and De Vuur accommodated us without any issues. Thanks. We will stay with you guys again.
My daughter stayed there for a night on her way up to Mpumalanga and said that she will definitely be booking there every time she has to drive up with her 2 dogs. Very good service offered and she had no complaints. Thanks to the owners and she would be back.
See stars.
Thanks so much for all your trouble to switch us to a room with a bath! Very neat and safe. We got some great sleep, thanks! We can definitely recommend it.
Very friendly and helpful host. Good location and pretty and practically equipped.
Clean, friendly, hospitable. Just what you need after a long day on the road.
Well received and spent a peaceful night after the hectic traffic on the N1.
See the stars.
Secure parking and quiet area.
Very stylish, spacious and really good value for money!
Just 1 suggestion, to maybe give guests the option of an electric blanket in the winter.
De Vuur is a beautiful overnight facility. The units are nice and modern and parking is secure. Owners very friendly. Will definitely stay here again.
Nice guest house and central to stay in.
The accommodation was quite adequate for our needs of a good rest to break our long journey.
Slept here 2 times with up and down travel. Very quiet, clean and friendly service with secure parking for my bike.
Cute place. Nice decor and very neat.
We were very satisfied at De Vuur Gastehuis. This is a nice place to stop if you have pets. Hostess is very helpful and friendly. We did not have hot water which was a bit bad and the shower leaked terribly, but otherwise we were very happy and will visit De Vuur Gastehuis again.
See the stars.
Very neat and clean. Friendly reception and helpful and close to restaurants.
Very nice guest house to sleep at.

Problems we encountered was that there is a gym at the guest house. As a result, there were people working out and the banging of the iron apparatus and the chatter of the people was really disturbing. So the guys arrived after work (5 hours). As guests, you just want peace after such a long journey. There was only a cold tap at the sink in the kitchen, so we couldn't wash dishes. I don't know if they prefer it that way. I reported it to them on a note. The intention is well intended.
See stars.
Although we had trouble locating the guest house, the welcome was warm and the unit was very comfortable. Could do with a dish sink.
Friendly, hospitable service.
Place is beautiful, I was really impressed.
Hospitable and helpful service. Not 5 star, but value for money.
The place met all my overnight needs.
For what we needed was just to spend the night and be able to get a good rest, which was the case.
The room was right on the street and only had one sliding door to allow access and ventilation. I had to sleep all night with the sliding door open. There are no windows or fans in the room. Otherwise it was comfortable.
No soap etc. in bathroom.
Very pleasant people with a cute place. I would stay there again. Thank you guys.
Nice people who received us kindly. Perfect stopover destination.
This guesthouse really disappointed me. The room is really hot without air conditioninng, leaky shower, wet toilet paper, not enough coffe and sugar for even one cup. Felt dirty throughout. Couldn't wait to leave. Very disappointed and not good value for money.
