Had a great time.
It was definitely worth it to stay in a clean, tidy and safe environment.
The stay was excellent. Got breakfast on time every morning. Service was great and workers very friendly.
The staff were very friendly and helpful. The photo online didn't quite match the bathroom. The shower head was faulty and so water sprayed all over the place. Evidently breakfast is not included for website customers - although we pay more, yet they offered it to us. The breakfast had a very limited choice.
We stayed on Oct 7th and again on Oct 20th. On Oct 7th we unfortunately walked in with a bad cigarette smoke smell. Perhaps "no smoking" signs in the unit would help. A disadvantage is that there are no openable windows in the bedroom. The bathroom also needs renovation. The hand shower by the bath is practically unusable. Otherwise it is a comfortable spacious unit.
On the ad it says that breakfast is included for free, but upon arrival we were informed that they don't serve breakfast (due to covid? Really!). There is a noise from the kitchen early in the morning. The lady who received us was not very friendly and just wanted to go home. It was just after 4 hours. It doesn't make you feel very welcome, we were rather a burden to them. They are busy with additions. It is not mentioned on advertisement. The workers were done working for the day and it was clean, but it should be mentioned for people who want to stay there for a few days. I think if we had been better received we would have felt differently and if they were honest about breakfast. For that price they can serve breakfast.
Price on the website mentions that breakfast is included, but when I checked in the lady said breakfast was no longer included - apparently due to Covid - poor excuse. Restoration is currently being done on site, would not have booked there if I had known. Safe in room is so poorly fixed that it can be easily removed and therefore we could not use it. Shower head needs to be replaced. Rooms clearly need attention. Parking is very limited and small.

I needed safe accommodation in Paarl for 1 night and would recommend this well located, safe, excellent guest house to any traveller. Someone who stays longer will also be able to make use of the clean swimming pool and lovely manicured garden and view of the vineyards. An option to consider is to charge the breakfast separately if one wants it.
The self-catering cottage is very well furnished and it is nice and private with a farm feel.
The place is very clean and well maintained.
