Bed was very uncomfortable. Photos were misleading in profile to what accommodation was, little to no condiments. Coffee, tea, sugar, milk, salt and pepper. Only 2 x sachets of instant cappuccino, aesthetically pleasing, expected a bath compared to the photos, but only a shower.
Horrible service I received. I made arrangements to extend the night, but my stuff was packed outside in bin bags while I was attending church service. I received a call to come collect my stuff and bring the keys. I still can't believe this.
The unit is very secure and has a warm, homely feel. It is very nicely decorated.
The loft is roomy and has a good kitchen and bathroom. Enough space for parents and two children.

Beautifully appointed loft.
Rooms are stylishly and luxuriously furnished with everything needed. Extremely clean and tasteful. The hospitality was top notch and we were able to sit in the beautiful garden with a cup of tea after the day's long journey.

A very neat clean and comfortable place and in a beautiful environment. Very quiet and peaceful. Stairs just a little steep for elderly legs, otherwise we really enjoyed it.
A very nice, tidy place to stay. The air conditioners dissipated the heat from the loft. Looks exactly like the picture. Unfortunately, the woman who received us could not really understand us. Also the parking is very small and uncomfortable. Not at all suitable for a pram or bakkie. We struggled terribly because the parking is down the hill. There was no one to help us, and I hurt my back a lot in the process. Unfortunately, our stay was soured by it.
Can highly recommend this as accommodation option in Newcastle. Was very warmly received and the host was very interested and supportive in my Battelfield marathon that I came to run. Even got me a energy drink brought to the time.
Johan and Thaliita are 5 star host and hostess. Everything and more than in advertisement like latest magazines to satisfy any interest. Attended marriage confirmation which started at 2pm and they had no problem letting us in earlier. Definitely recommend as one of the best homes ever!

The parking space was a little small. Big vehicles do not fit in the space. The dogs barked the whole night and disturbed our sleep. They could have switched on the air con at two, because it was a hot day and we stayed in a loft unit. We arrived just after three and we were hot for a long time before the air con could get the unit to a comfortable temperature. Another problem of the loft unit was that there was only one window and we couldn't get air into the unit.

Total value for money! The unit is well-equipped for self-catering needs, very clean, tidy and stylish too. Even though it is on a residential home property it is very private ... almost too good to be true! The owners are also very friendly and helpful making this place a definitive home away from home. Should we ever require accommodation in Newcastle again, there will be no further searching, de Witte Loft is surely the place to stay at!
The only downside is the style of stairs as I injured my knee before arriving so it was a bit inconvenient. But I would stay there again. It's quiet and super neat.

I had to choose between De Witte loft and other accommodation. Because I was alone, the other place increased their price but De Witte Loft gave me a 5% discount. It meant a lot to me. I had a great time. The environment was quiet and peaceful. I was kindly received. The kitchen was well equipped. The parking lot is safe but a bit difficult for a long-axle van. I would definitely stay there again and would recommend it with confidence.

Very comfortable and well furnished apartment. TV turning off automatically with the DStv late at night was not pleasant as I work late and like to watch TV late. Would stay there again and happily recommend. If you have problems climbing stairs, it will be a bit of fun as the stairs are quite steep and each step is very high. Although there is free WiFi I could not use it as I could not connect. However, these are only small things that do not count and my stay in totality was very pleasant.

We never saw the owner. They were on their way to Comrades. We got the key elsewhere, stayed there, communicated with each other by cell phone and made an e-payment. How's that for trust in your fellow man?!
