Deane Cottage is simply stunning and certainly a home away from home. The cottage had everything we needed for our week's stay and is perfectly located while we attended IPT at the UFS astro. Thank you for making us feel so welcome.
From the moment we were welcomed, everything was perfect. The cottage is located in a very quiet area, in a serene garden with lots of birdlife. Yet it is still close to restaurants, shops, etc. The cottage is beautifully decorated and well equipped if you want to cater for yourself. The linen is lovely, and there are other small touches which make a person feel at home. We had to leave to continue our business trip, but changed our programme so that we could stay here again on the way back - that is how comfortable we were! Are there any quirks? The driveway is quite steep, so it might be difficult if you are a nervous driver. And there is a pressure pump that you can hear from the bedroom, although this has been soundproofed so it is not something that kept us awake at all.

My stay at Deane Cottage was fantastic. The unit is very well equipped, clean, comfortable, and centrally located. Bonus: you can go for a walk in the adjoining conservation area directly from the premises. The host is a great person, and she went the extra mile to find out information on different activities in the Bloemfontein area. Her staff is equally friendly, efficient, and kind. I stayed for 5 nights and will return if I am in Bloemfontein again.

It was lovely to spend the night there, everything was convenient and close to Oranje Meisies Hoër where we wanted to be.
It was nice to really only take night clothes with you after 900 km of driving. There was everything one could need and more. The cottage is located close to takeaways and restaurants. TV and WiFi kept the kids busy until bedtime. The cottage was also not affected by load shedding. After a good night's rest we could drive on to our final destination. Thank you Deane Cottage for a comfortable resting place, it helped to enjoy our long drive.
We found everything we could need. Gas heater and emergency light for when loadshedding kicks in, all kitchen essentials and daily cleaning services as well as filtered water topped up daily. We were also grateful for the Wi-Fi connection. It is a quiet neighborhood that makes for a good night's rest and the cat, Evie, came to greet us every night.

The cottage is small but comfortable and very stylishly furnished. The piece of nature on your doorstep makes you completely forget that you are actually in the city. It was a bonus to be able to let our student child sleep there too at no extra cost.

Very friendly reception. Property is opposite a game reserve, practically in the city center, so it was peaceful and quiet. My spouse was very impressed - the first place to stay where there was an electric point by the mirror for her hair dryer. Nice cookies along with a variety of teas and decent coffee. Very pleasant stay and will definitely stay there again. The small and private garden was an escape after a hot day where you could kick off your shoes and enjoy a coffee in the silence of nature.

We enjoyed our overnight stay, the place was neat, clean and very well appointed. Julia was very friendly and hospitable, we will definitely stay there again when we go through Bloemfontein again. There was an electric blanket on the bed, a gas heater in the bathroom, an air conditioner in the living area and fresh milk in the fridge.

A very beautiful cottage that has everything you need: DStv, aircon, gas heater in the bathroom, warm blanket on the bed, clean drinking water every day. The hostess was very friendly and made sure we were comfortable. We could contact her with confidence. They even provided us with a small Weber grill so that we could enjoy grilling in the private courtyard.
