37 guests' feedbackNeed a mat in bathroom 2 and more drying towels.
We struggled the first 2 days with a power problem and Trish, our hostess, went out of her way to get the problem resolved - thank you very much. Just note that there are no towels in the bathrooms.
Loved the pool. Naughty monkeys. Enjoyed watching the animals walk by.
Accommodation was very nice, clean and comfortable.
Part of upstairs deck broken closed with danger tape noted by previous guest in February, needs a toilet upstairs, kithen fully equipped. Shower outlet was blocked flooded bathroom. Top bedroom with cupboard floor dodgy rattles the cupboard when walking on it.
The place is nice clean and tidy. We really enjoyed the braai area with the many animals around us. Leaks near the lookout points. Would definitely recommend for a nice visit.
Porch area's furniture may just need brushing from the bottom, but a nice place to stay!
The house is very close to the Crocodile River, you can walk there. We saw an incredible number of birds and various wildlife species at the house and in the surrounding areas. It was a lovely relaxing visit and excellent value for money.
I go to Marloth very often and Debrico's location is excellent. We really saw a lot of animals and often walked down to the river. I will go back to Debrico but just want to make the following comments and suggestions: The kitchen needs a decent clean. The kitchen cupboards were extremely dirty and the glasses, kettle and percolator were very dirty and greasy. My 2 sisters and I checked which of the kitchen equipment we were going to use, and washed everything. One of the saucepans and also a glass bowl, still had tackled remains from a previous stay. This is really not acceptable. Please communicate to visitors that they must bring their own towels. The standard is usually that guests should only bring swimming towels, but bath towels are usually provided. Fortunately, I inquired about this the day before. No provision has been made for emergency lights in case of load shedding. There are candles in the rooms, but they are not sufficient as they can be a fire hazard. An emergency light costs R260 at PnP - 1 light per room can be provided or at least just communicate to guests that they must bring their own. The splash pool is leaking. This was reported to Trish, who runs the house. I also suggest that the tree above the braai area be pruned - it hangs relatively low over the braai area and could pose a fire hazard. We had a great stay and visit, and I would like to use Debrico's again.
Had a great stay, was walking distance from the border wire with the Kruger. The nice big veranda with its swimming pool was a highlight. The house inside is very well furnished and equipped for self-catering beyond expectations. Air conditioning is a bonus. Had variety of animals at home, and Trish, our hostess, was very helpful and friendly.
We had a great time, would suggest that you put in WiFi and a Smart TV for people then they can log in on their own profiles. Furthermore, everything was nice and peaceful with animals visiting the house.
We enjoyed it very much. The house has everything you need.
Had a great stay, was within walking distance of the border fence with the Kruger, the nice big porch with its braaier was a highlight. The house inside is very luxuriously furnished and equipped for self-catering beyond expectations. Had variety of four-legged visitors, and Trish our hostess was very helpful and friendly.
Our family had a great time together and everything we needed was at our disposal. Would definitely recommend for large group of people. Very comfortable home in the woods.
We had a great time, house is tidy and big enough for 2 to 3 families. Bunk beds are definitely for smaller children (mattresses are thin). We would definitely recommend the place.
We really enjoyed our time. Very nice place, nice location.
If you want to rest, then this is the place to be.
Well equipped, has animals coming up to the house to say hello. Will come again. Thanks.
Good location. Beautiful place, well equipped with everything needed. Friendly reception by management. Would definitely recommend it.
We are very happy with the accommodation, located close to the wildlife park and the aircons definitely helped! Will go again!
What a pleasant walk in the woods! Rest and peace for your soul! Even though it was very hot, it was wonderfully cool in the house with the air conditioning and what a treat to be able to cool off in the splash pool.
Very neat and clean. Everything one needs. The air conditioning and pool were a bonus. Have a nice forest holiday.
Well equipped place. Large rooms. Trish's services were very friendly. We will definitely come back to Debrico's again.
Wonderful getaway with excellent service and comfortable accommodation. Safe accommodation and good location. Nature exceptional with several visitors such as galago's, kudu's, bushbucks and hedgehogs. I will definitely make use of the accommodation again and already planning the next getaway. Thanks a lot.
We really enjoyed it and were able to relax. The shower is a bit small but otherwise everything is in the house that is needed and we will definitely come and stay there again.
Beautiful, well kept place. Immaculate detail put into the house. Lovely splash pool and within walking distance from the river where we spotted many big game!
We found Debrico very clean and tidy. Conveniently located near the wildlife park. We were pleasantly surprised with all the animals and amenities in the area. Only negative aspect was the living area downstairs which was a bit cramped for 7 people on a rainy day. Bedrooms were pleasantly large. Would like to suggest that maybe place is "fumigated" in front of visitors. Rooms were full of huge spiders, and I'm not talking about Daddy longlegs. My little girl refused to sleep upstairs because of it.
Tranquil getaway with everything that you need.
House very neat, fully equipped with everything needed to cook meals. Braai facilities nice and big and we really enjoyed the boma at night. During the rain we were still able to enjoy socialising around the table on the veranda. Just two drawbacks: 1. The house is close to Marloth's tar road and because it was Easter weekend it sounded like a highway. Therefore we couldn't experience much of the "quietness of the bush". 2. The wooden floors upstairs and wooden steps creaked so the ones sleeping downstairs woke up every time someone upstairs had to use the toilet or looked for something in his bag. Apart from these we were lucky to see many animals like zebra, warthog, bushbuck and kudu that came and visited us. At night we could hear the hippos and the roar of the lions. The house is walking distance from Kruger Park's fence so it was nice to take a walk there in the mornings.
The place was very nice and could easily accommodate 12 people. Very close to the river. Very, very nice place. Will definitely visit again.
Debrico's is a beautiful place in the Bosveld. The house is fully equipped and very comfortable. It was walking distance to the boundary wire of the Kruger National Park (Crocodile River) where we also saw many animals.
We do recommend the following: dishwasher and cleaning services. The pool pump is not working. Water was a big problem. We had to go home earlier. Apparently the water was off the previous week as well. Would have been good if we had been informed of this before our arrival.
Had a wonderful weekend. Even the roar of Mr. had lion It would only be nice if there was a barbecue and I would recommend that a table and chairs be placed on the wooden deck.
We were very surprised by the beautiful residence. The house is fully equipped and very comfortable.
Debrico's is an incredibly beautiful place in the Bosveld - quiet and peaceful. We had an unforgettable holiday and saw a lot of wildlife in our immediate surroundings. It is walking distance from the boundary wire of the Kruger National Park and guarantees the best 'rest' holiday!
It was a nice break away from the city. The area is absolute stunning - a real bush experience. The lodge itself was nice.
Felt very safe while here, in a good location.
