We had a very magnificent weekend there and their service was so good.
The welcome was warm and helpful. Installing at least one window that opens would be helpful, especially in the bathroom.
Travelled with family and booked out 2 of the cottages/units - both were very well equipped and each had a double and a single bed. The beautiful outside garden where we had a braai in the evening. They had a generator which was an amazing bonus. Thanks to Koba for her amazing hospitality - would definitely recommend it!
Very nice stay. Koba went out of her way to make our stay as pleasant as possible. Freezer space given for our meat. Also arranged other accommodation for our children when she was overbooked. Breakfast was off the books and we and the children could all eat there together. Will definitely stay there again if we get the chance.

No, didn't have a good time. We had to shower with patches because there was fungus in the shower. The floor was dirty. We wanted to heat pizza in the microwave, but couldn't use the microwave because the oven hadn't been cleaned in a long time and plain water and soap wouldn't help.

We were looking for a place to sleep on our route from Knysna back to Pretoria and came across DeKat. Will definitely stay there again when we have another long trip.
Very small, but space well used.
The room is very neat with electric blanket and gas heater. Large stove was in my room and a separate bathroom. Everything was very neat and furnished with taste. I would just like a bit more space if there are 3 people in the room.

Extras, such as cold water and soft drinks, in the fridge were a welcome relief after a hot day on the road. I would definitely stay there again if I'm in the area and can recommend it.
Hostess Koba is a warm, sincere person who makes you feel at home as soon as you arrive. We were welcomed with delicious home baked goods and a warm room with underfloor heating in the cold Karoo. Felt home immediately. The rooms are well furnished and there are even WiFi and DStv. The decor of the rooms are beautiful and one can see the care that was taken to keep everything in good condition.
Koba was particularly friendly and helpful. Will definitely spend the night here again when we visit Burgersdorp.
