I highly recommend staying at the "Denmark Farm Stay". It is tastefully furnished with modern appliances and fittings, and was spotless. Very comfortable main bed, and children were fine on the two day beds. Great location, not too far from the main farm house, but feels like you're in the bush. The outside bath was a winner.

Country chic, modern farmhouse accommodation! Here you can still rest and breathe. We were pleasantly surprised with our unit and the little details that awaited us. The outdoor bath and shower was a lovely treat. We were received very kindly and taken to our unit after an unexpected altercation with the main gate. We wanted to eat something and were directed in the direction of a cute place to eat in the town whose food was delicious and affordable. There is an "honesty box" where wine, soft drinks and water were provided, for which you pay as you use them, which was very nice. The scenery is beautiful, and although there is WiFi, it is quite difficult to stand on it which was lovely. We could put our phones down for once! Mountain Zebra National Park is a stone's throw away and a must visit!

Pleasant safe accommodation close to Bergkwagga National Park and still not too far from Cradock town. Well equipped rooms. Would recommend this accommodation anytime and would definitely stay here again.

The farm has a lot to offer such as a fireplace and a garden to discover. The owners are friendly. They even invited us for dinner to try their sausages.

Our stay on the farm in the Karoo Hideaway Cabin was traumatic. The hosts haben diese mit viel liebe eingerichtung. The highlight was the bathtub under the starry sky! Man hat viel natur zum laufen und abends man kann die ruhe auf der terrasse bei einen (or 2) glasses of wine. We were guaranteed to come again!
On arrival we were welcomed in a hearty way and shown the facilities and more, the room we booked is super spacious and way more than we expected consisting out of a spacious kitchen with a separate bedroom and bathroom. The evenings on the farm are beyond peaceful and a good night's rest is the norm. Even though we only stayed one night, it was an awesome experience. The farm is simple to find on a decent road leading to the entrance, the owners of the farm are super helpful and friendly, and I would recommend their facility without a doubt.

What you see is what you get. All photos show exactly what to expect. No hidden agendas. Denmark is a working farm, you will have all aspects of a running farm around you. Wake up to sounds of animals in the fields or birds in the trees.

This accommodation is perfectly located on the way to visit the Zebra National Park. Clean and tidy accommodation with everything you would need. Andre and Nicolene are salt-of-the-earth people.
Great place, indoor braai or fireplace, or an old wood stove for the winter would be fantastic. Can get too cold to sit outside. Otherwise it was really excellent.
The neat, clean unit was really a very comfortable overnight stay. Lovely big shower and beautiful view from the veranda on the mountain. There is also a communal kitchen with larger fridges and microwave oven. Especially liked the "Honesty bin" for drink and food in unit that was provided especially after a long drive and no chance of stopping at shops. Truly a recommended place to stay. Thank you.
When I say quiet, I mean there is no noise of traffic, people etc. There is however noise of sheep in the distance, birdlife to keep the birdwatchers busy.
Very relaxed and pleasant place to spend a few nights. The manager and staff was very nice and accommodating.
They advertise a room but when you get there they say you have to stay in a tent. Your own. I didn't pay for a room.

Spacious bedroom, well equipped bathroom and kitchen. Facilities on working farmyard, situated on hill facing north about 500m from the R61, 20km outside Cradock and 10km from Bergkwagga park. Accommodation is exclusively for overnight stays and hunting groups for which the facilities were actually developed. The best quality towels and bedding are provided as well as coffee, tea and other essential items. Excellent value for money.
Such a neat, clean, beautiful room with everything we needed for an overnight stay. A complimentary chocolate on the bed was a nice touch, and we loved the bottle of red wine in the honesty box. Although their family room was taken, they put mattresses on the floor for the kids at no extra cost. We loved our stay.

We so enjoyed our stay on this farm. The accommodation was attractive and comfortable. One could sit outdoors and enjoy the views, the sense of space, and all the sounds accompanying lambing season. Our hosts were helpful and friendly. The farm is well designated and easy to locate, not being far off the R61. It was a very good launching pad for a visit to the Mountain Zebra National Park only 16 km away at a fraction of the cost. We will most definitely go back - there are some enticing hikes in the area still to be explored.
This is a precious gem in the countryside! Peaceful farm with loads of fresh air, complemented by the bleating of sheep, surrounded by beautiful nature and mountains. The artful use of old-world utensils surprised as much as the family unit's gorgeous bathroom! In the evening the fire was blissful and the electric blankets and beds cozy. The family indeed made us feel protected and safe. We rested wonderfully and thoroughly enjoyed the fresh farm air. At the end of our stay it really felt like we were visiting good friends and now had to say goodbye!
We booked for camping, but it's really just a pitch on the lawn next to the farmhouse. There was also a lot of noise from the main road late at night. André and his wife then opened one of the rooms for us at no additional cost, for which we are grateful. The braai area and kitchen are fully equipped and we were very happy with our stay. However, we will not camp with them again, but instead take the room option.

Lovely time, typical farm atmosphere, quiet and peaceful.
We stayed at Denmark Farm Stay 2 nights on our visit trip to Mountain Zebra. Farm is well situated for that purpose, max of 20 min drive to the main park gate. Farm itself very quiet and peaceful with very friendly hosts. Don't forget to ask about biltong and salami that the owner preps himself - outstanding! Owner does also have some game but we didn't have enough time to explore. Rooms are very well kept and comfy with kitchen annex inside and bigger kitchen to share outside next to braai area. Our definite recommendation!
The backpacker rooms are very well equipped for overnight stays. The shared kitchen is more than expected well supplied with everything needed. Guests can comfortably cook or barbecue for themselves and use the shared fridge and freezer. Many thanks to the owners who make an effort to make it nice to stay there!

Two hopefully positive comments. The room is a bit stuffy because it doesn't have windows in front. We slept with the sliding door open. Also, it will help to connect a pressure pump to the water system. The pressure was very low to have a nice shower. Furthermore, very neat and clean and very friendly service and reception.
Just all the roadworks made it difficult to find the entrance, but after having called, Andre met us at the turning. Thanks.

The hosts were warm and friendly. The stay was relaxing. The location is good for visits to the Cradock Mountain Zebra National Park which is why we were there. It is also close enough for visits to Cradock itself. There were quite a few flies around which is to be expected if visiting a working farm.

We really wanted to get away from the city's hustle and bustle and really enjoyed it here. Nicolene and Andre are lovely hosts and I was in tears when we had to leave after an entire week here.
