21 guests' feedbackWas delicious and really enjoyed it.
We enjoyed the sunset and the stars later by a fire with a little wine.
Delicious, as before. Maybe it can just be mentioned somewhere that the starry night is better without lights constantly shining from the neighbors? People are sometimes unaware of this, especially if they come from urban environments!
Could even watch rugby on a big screen, have a nice swim and a lovely warm bed to sleep in.
It was clean, neat and had what you needed. The views were great and it is close to Sossusvlei.
Beautiful location and surroundings! Clean linen and sleeping facilities! We were aware of the crockery rental service, but were not prepared that the previous users did not really want to use the accommodation. You must take your own picnic basket with you if you do want to use the accommodation! No towels provided - bad hand washing soap provided. The rooms do not have a coffee making area - only the outdoor kitchen, unfortunately not usable if there is a sandstorm. BUT if you stop there for the night, a quick barbecue and drive again, it is an ideal place with beautiful scenery!
They miss a lot of small things, such as hooks for towels and cooling space. Their accounts department is not up to standard. WiFi was unavailable. Air conditioning did not work.
Just wasn't crazy about the cutlery and crockery. The plates were steel and everything smelled like steel.
Beautiful surroundings. It's just a privilege to be able to stay here!
It was the first time for us to stay at Desert Camp and I would come back again to stay more than 2 nights.
When the fox stands in front of your door late at night and barks then you know. We are in heaven.
It's the 2nd time we stay here. Five years ago the houses were still tents. It's now beautifully upgraded. Units are very nice and clean with a lovely shower and a separate toilet. There are so many photo opportunities here. A photographer's dream. The braai place is placed a little bit in the wrong place, especially when the East wind blows, because then you smoke yourself out, but you can move your chair and close the door. Something that was negative is the "hollow-laid" mattresses. We are not heavy people, but when you lie down the mattress folds around you on both sides and you can only lie in that hole. So please replace the mattresses so guests wake up rested. Hope we can sleep well next time, because you will definitely see us again.
Perfect location and the unit is beautiful and practical.
It was an experience! Beautiful area and the staff are friendly. We will definitely stay there again.
The Desert Camp is very neat and well located to visit Sossusvlei. We had a great stay and everything worked as expected. I can recommend Desert Camp without reservation.
Very unique destination. Rooms are spacious and clean. The facilities are sufficient and there is also a lovely area with swimming pool and bar. Good experience, although not cheap.
We spent two nights at Desert Camp. Unfortunately we had to book and pay for two cottages for a family of four, which made the stay very expensive. But it was still cheaper than the alternative. The camp is beautiful, the cottages clean and spacious, and the bathrooms modern. There is a swimming pool and shared lounge area. We ordered barbecue packs with meat and side dishes for dinner, which was very convenient. The environment around the camp is quiet and peaceful, with the most beautiful views. Highly recommend.
Beautiful place, one with nature, newly redone. There were just a few little things that made the experience less enjoyable. Plugs for sinks were gone, cutlery was lacking, the small duster didn't work, one plate didn't work, too few chairs. Although we booked for two extra children, there was no bedding for them. Other than that, it was still a very nice place to spend the night and an experience to experience nature like this.
Reception was great. Friendly staff. Accommodation was beautiful, clean, tidy. The kitchen was a pleasant surprise on the porch. Too many good points to mention. Recommended for anyone looking for beauty, tranquility and all-round satisfaction.
Place is really great, view on the mountain. Meat for BBQ is really excellent! A must in Namibia if you know how to braai. Staff made a lot of mistakes and laundry bag was missing but it's a good place if you would like to be close to Sesriem.
The location, surroundings, presence of wildlife on the premises and the layout of the units are all plus points.
