The lodge comprises 3 bedrooms opening up onto a private deck with beautiful views. The first and second bedrooms are each furnished with a double bed, and the third bedroom contains 2 single beds. The main bedroom has an en-suite bathroom fitted with a bath, and the other 2 bedrooms have access to a shared bathroom fitted with a bath. Warm water is provided by gas geysers, and there is also a separate guest toilet.
The open-plan kitchen is equipped for self-catering with an oven and stove, and a microwave, a fridge, tea- and coffee-making facilities, as well as a large pantry. Guests can enjoy their meals at the dining table or relax in the lounge which has a cosy fireplace. Please be advised and strictly note that this particular unit does not have a TV in the unit.
The house also features a games room with a guest bathroom, and this room can be converted into a fourth bedroom if needed.
The open-plan living area opens onto a covered entertainment area on the deck which overlooks the unique rim-flow swimming pool and has beautiful views of the surrounds. Covered parking is provided for 2 vehicles.

7 guests' feedbackWe had a very nice stay. The house is well equipped and offers more than what you see in the photos. For example the braai area. Furthermore, the house has a nice flow with an incredible view. The pool was also a treat.
Equipped with everything you need. Lovely accommodation with lots of privacy.
Nice place and is well located. Nice view and lots of wildlife. Place needs serious maintenance. Door frames broken. Master bedroom door is very difficult to open. Toilet seat in extra room is broken. Half the lights don't work or don't even have bulbs in them. Furthermore, this unit is marketed as part of Mabalingwe Nature Reserve. This is Cyferfontein and we were denied access to Mabalingwe. The game vehicle also has almost no brakes.
The unit is just 100% ready for a family getaway. The grandchildren thoroughly enjoyed the pool, playroom and of course the antelopes. The Jeep obviously made a big contribution to being able to visit Kalahari Oase and Mabalingwe main camp. Little problem with Des'Igodini Lodge - no DStv for men when there is rugby and in the evenings when adults sit around the fire to keep children busy in the house when it is cold. Board games are there for older children but children who are still small cannot play alone in the lower level playroom in the evening. But, we will definitely see the place again.
The lodge is situated in the Cyferfontein section of the park which is very peaceful and quiet. The rooms are large and airy. The deck and pool would be amazing in summer. The view is fantastic and looks onto the bush with no other lodges hindering your view. The house was well catered and there was nothing we wanted for. The beds in house two are small and I would only recommend them for children or really small adults. Birdlife is great and the lodge is visited by nyala and kudu on a daily basis. The game vehicle is a must when staying at the lodge. Indoor fireplace was lovely even though the lodge itself was very warm during the night and day. The pool table was also a nice added extra.
