Nice stay, clean and tidy.
The stay was great. Matt was really helpful, and the chef was willing to be accommodating. However, breakfast was not the best. It was cold and a little overdone.
- My toilet was leaking at the bottom, and it wasn't a new leak. The floor is wet with sewage. There was no soap in the container in the shower. The DSTV is on such a cheap package that people could not even watch the basic rugby matches. My toilet paper was not replaced when it ran out. Some of the shelves in the cupboards are broken and some drawers cannot open. There were too few eggs and it was cold at breakfast when I went to eat. The kitchen had no butter available at breakfast.
Overall good, but we did not receive any assistance with our luggage and the breakfast the next morning was not good.
Breakfast was late and not at all worth waiting for. Their coffee machine was broken and only had Ricoffy. Their toast machine was broken. The staff that was there (1 person) tried to help, but it was really just out of her control.
We booked 2 rooms, our room nr 2 was not great, our TV sound did not work, our shower was dirty, we did only have 1 hand towel in the room which was torn as well. There was no information pack with details on how to get in touch with reception to even try and sort the issues, as when we made it to the room the reception doors were closed.
Very basic, wifi not working. No restaurant for evening meals. Staff was not available to help with wifi problem. Breakfast is not tasty.
The venue has so much potential but is not well managed. The guard at the gate was sleeping when we arrived in the afternoon. We then had to wait because there was no one at reception. There was 1 towel in the unit, so we had to ask for more. The shower had mould all over, and the water pressure was very low. The aircon unit switched on but did not cool and sounded terrible when it ran. There was no milk or Cremora with the tea & coffee in the room, so we could not have any tea. When we asked where breakfast was served, they looked at us confused and said there was no breakfast, although the unit says it includes breakfast.

We were there after a bike race, and they made good plans for late arrival etc.
I would suggest that water, tea, coffee and milk be topped up more often. We only received milk twice. Breakfast - out of the books, delicious!

Overnight stay for a wedding.
The ceiling fan didn't work so they put in a standing fan for us. The toilet did not flush properly. There were coffee making facilities, but no coffee or sugar. The room was neat and the breakfast was good, but I think the rate is too high for what you get.
Very impersonal and no help with luggage. Person who went to show room just walks windshield and is at peace about how many pieces one wears. Offer no help and nothing is explained such as for example time of breakfast, whether bar will open etc.

The initial reception was bad, had to look for the room and were lost. The shower was worse than a camp shower. The toilet seat was broken. Breakfast was supposed to be at 08:00 but staff only arrived at 08:10.
We got ready for my daughter's wedding in the honeymoon suite. It is a beautiful place with enough space for the whole group that had to get ready. The most beautiful photos could also be taken thanks to the decor.
We were met, checked in and offered assistance from the gate to our room. All the staff are very, very helpful. The breakfast is excellent. The pool is lovely. Just a great way to chill out for a couple of days.
Beautiful gardens and rooms. Decor throughout the lodge is very tasteful. Rooms very comfortable and provide everything needed and more. Everyone who works there is very friendly and helpful and goes "above and beyond" to make your visit there unforgettable. We will definitely be back there as soon as the spa reopens!
Pierre is a fantastic host! Went out of his way to make us feel at home and put in extra effort with everything! The breakfast was top notch! We stayed overnight at Destiny Lodge after attending a wedding in the area. The room was very clean and the staff friendly and helpful. We regretted driving early the next day, but the staff very kindly helped us at 06:00 in the morning. Will definitely want to go back again to relax.

The lodge is the ideal place for a wedding. There is a beautiful little church, lovely honeymoon suite, accommodation, enough and safe parking, even a boma where you can visit after the reception. The bride and entourage can also be well prepared for her special day at the spa.

Friendly welcome on arrival. Manager immediately moved us to quieter room away from other noisy guests. Room very clean and tidy and well thought out provision of essentials. Staff very friendly. Breakfast wasn't quite ready at the appointed time but what was available was tasty and if we weren't in a hurry we would have lingered around the buffet breakfast which was included in the overnight price.
Destiny Lodge is a wonderful destination. My husband and I were there for one night, and will definitely go again. The layout of the buildings is such that one is hardly aware of one's neighbours. The rooms are surrounded by the most beautiful gardens, in which we spent a whole hour or so. The rooms are neat and big. Breakfast was adequate. Highly recommend.
The guesthouse is lovely. Very comfortable rooms and beautiful gardens. Everything clean and breakfast was five-star! However, the spa was disappointing. Unique beautiful facility but unfortunately many unprofessional therapists.
I stayed 1 night and the room was fully what I expected. I had a flat tire and management quickly stepped in and helped me so I could drive on. I would recommend Destiny lodge to anyone. It's not right in the middle of Cullinan which means it's very quiet and peaceful if that's what you want.

This was an experience of a lifetime for us as a married couple. We have travelled extensively and this venue was definitely one of the top accommodation places we have ever stayed at. See that it is classified as a 4-Star but it definitely should have a 5-star classification. From the security guy and the guy who doubled as the suitcase carrier, to the receptionist, the dining room staff and the personal touch from the owner Heleen, it was a wonderful but far too short a stay. Would certainly let anyone know that is going to the Cullinan area that you cannot get a better place to stay and better value for money.
We only stayed for one night, but we were very happy and will definitely recommend Destiny Lodge to our friends. The attention to detail to make the accommodation more pleasant was very noticable. Service was excellent and I was pleasantly surprised with the diverse breakfast options provided.

Unfortunately we only stayed one night. The place is very neat and apart from the drought, it looked like an oasis with the beautiful gardens. The accommodation is 5* not to mention the breakfast. Will go again.

We had car problems and the staff at Destiny Lodge also treated us to coffee and tea outside of our booked time. Excellent service and neat gardens and facilities.
The one place that lacks nothing throughout, from reception to departure. Every venue and every bedroom is perfect and stylish, and speaks of good taste. This is the type of place where you should spend not just one night, but quite a few!
We stayed one night at Destiny Lodge and we were very impressed with the new unit we stayed in. There is also loads of secure parking and we were impressed with the gardens and privacy of each unit. The bed was also lovely and thanks for the glass of sherry to warm us up! It was a nice surprise on such a cold weekend.

Destiny Lodge offers you 18 luxury units, each unit is furnished with our guest's special needs in mind. All units have en-suite bathrooms, DStv, bar fridges, Electric Blankets, Wall heaters, Coffee and tea stations, hair dryers and a dressing table. All units have a private veranda where guests can relax, have a drink, smoke outside while enjoying the tranquil garden setting and listen to the water in the numerous water fountains. All meals are available to our guests; special care is taken with meals to make sure that we cater for all the different tastes.
