Just what we needed after losing someone close to us.
The stay was acceptable.
It was lovely and very clean. Met all our expectations and would recommend and use the place again. Would just like to have burglar bars in front of sliding doors to be able to sleep with an open door. The other alternative would be an air conditioner. Nevertheless it was lovely and will use the place again.
I visited the cottage with my English Springer Spaniel. Privacy is not really available as the 2 units are side by side and share an open yard with half partitions front and back. It's ideal for a larger family or friends traveling together, but I could e.g. heard every word and sound from the people who were next door for the 2 nights I was there. Not very private if traveling alone or as a couple.

Nice stay although the unit is a bit impractical and cramped. The shower is a pain. The water is either cold or blazing hot - it needs professional attention. There are no comfortable chairs.

We loved our stay in this beautifully renovated cottage and would have liked to have stayed longer. It is close enough to the stunning Strandfontein beach and tidal pool, and very close to the coastal walk Doringbaai to Strandfontein. Although neighbouring the "township", we were not bothered by noise. Very well-equipped and comfortable unit.
Clean, well-appointed, and comfortable accommodation. One night was just not long enough. The unexpected Cape floods played havoc with our planning. The flooded Olifants River, near Doringbaai, will not soon be forgotten. We never met the hosts, only received directions by phone.

Just pack your own meals. The restaurants there are bad. Unit is fully equipped for you to cook own meals.

Doringbaai has a unique harbor and a beautiful coastline. Although the residents were obviously suffering, everyone was friendly. The west coast has unique products, seafood, wine, potatoes etc. Personally, I think more can be made of it and also involve the local population.
Only slept 1 night. Fryers Cove's wines are delicious.
This definitely surpassed my expectations. The unit was very spacious, clean and nicely decorated. It was equipped with everything you would want for a seaside vacation. The only downside is that it is a semi-detached unit with little soundproofing between the two units, so if you have noisy neighbours it can become a problem.
The place is nicely decorated and very well equipped. Just suggest that the gate be better secured with a lock, because the beggars walk into the yard at all hours of the day or night. Other than that we had a lovely and comfortable stay.
Recommended for people who drive and visit places.
Although Doringbaai is not known as a tourist destination - in addition it is a village where work is done with wine, abalone and fishing - we found it very peaceful and pleasant. The cottage itself is very well appointed and exceeded our expectations.

The dirt road to Doornbaai in a car was a nightmare, soothed only by a lovely modern and clean space. We had everything we needed. Only thing that would improve this spot is to be closer to the sea and the beautiful view.
Accommodation is very clean and tidy. Environment not so clean and unfortunately people from the neighborhood walk by who use crude language.

Diamond Divers was a wonderful discovery during our trip to Namaqua. The unit is clean and cosy and very well equipped, even with electric blankets. Lovely little braai area at the back. My husband loved the shower, which is a very important aspect of any trip away for him. Diamond Divers is a short walk to Fryers Cove, which is a must-do in Doringbaai. We’ll definitely come back again and stay here when we visit Doringbaai again. Thanks Theresa, for the lovely stay.

Stayed over for 2 days and leisurely explored the neighboring towns, Strandfontein, Lutzville and the flowers along the way were beautiful.

Doornbaai does not have a beach. It is a small clean town that originated from a fishing community. The beautiful beaches of Strandfontein are only 8 km away.
The cottage is very neat and I love the decor which gives evidence of a warm homely atmosphere. Everything you need is there, even measuring spoons - and cups! I could make a nice ice cream pie there. I would certainly recommend Diamond Divers to anyone.

We loved staying at Diamond Divers. It is a beautiful cottage with many homely and unexpected touches, like the cabinet filled with board games. We would recommend this place if you are ever in Doringbaai. We could also safely park our car in the yard, which added to the relaxed feelings we experienced here.

Diamond Divers is truly recommended. The accommodation was exactly as advertised, no photoshop. Sean came to greet us with typical West Coast friendliness, came to tell us about what was going on in the town and surrounding area. Just buy silk wood - it's dry!. Difficult to follow key directions. The shower is very smooth and slippery. Hot water in shower is difficult to control with gas, became ice cold. Uncomfortable feeling with workers who came to bother with wire fence. It's a very nice, clean, comfortable, modern living area with a nice porch to braai on.
