My husband and I slept in Ui and the children in Appel. The location was ideal for us in a quiet and safe environment. The rooms are spacious, very well equipped and spotlessly clean. The veranda with the beautiful view was a bonus. Madelein is a wonderful hostess and she contacted me via WhatsApp early with directions and arrangements, and she made us feel right at home when we arrived. We will definitely stay here again.

We organized a family visit in Randfontein, so wanted to stay near Randfontein. The Apple & Onion Guesthouse exceeded every expectation. Space to the outside, porch with a view of Johannesburg, lamps with bright light during load shedding sessions, desk, enough wall sockets. Kitchen facilities sufficient, all of good quality. We will definitely use Die Appel & Ui Gastehuis again when we come to Gauteng from the Free State. The P&P shopping center near Die Appel & Ui Gastehuis is equally great. Delicious lamb and hot garlic bread bought there on the way to Randfontein.
Madelein was an excellent hostess, she welcomed us with such warmth and kindness and despite the loadshedding the facilities and accommodation were outstanding. Neat and great. We will use the guest house again. Thank you Madeleine.

Perfect little stay over with everything you can possibly need. Comfortable beds, good size bathroom, secure parking and a wonderful view for coffee the next morning. Perfectly silent at night. Small kitchenette with basin, coffee supplied and Madelein is on standby for anything you might need over and above. Most definitely good value for your money.
They immediately sent us a WhatsApp address when we made contact and already made us feel welcome. When we got there we were warmly welcomed and there was a menu of delicious meals that we could order. Although they don't serve breakfast, they went out of their way to give us something to eat the next morning and refused to let us pay anything extra for it. Everything was so neat and the view from the porch and the call of the guinea fowl was a lovely bonus!
