Very peaceful and relaxing. We loved the views and silence. The cottage is well equipped and we enjoyed the outside hot tub with the springbok grazing around us.
We stayed in The Promised Land. You cannot capture the view in photos. It is so peaceful, with only the occasional crack of the windmill making it feel even more farm-like. The house is very clean and tidy. Completely secluded and private. The pool is very nice to cool off in on hot days, and everything you need is there. Nice and cool in the house with the thick cement walls and large porch all around.

Thank you very much for our friendly welcome and surprise package. We appreciate it. Great relaxing in front of the fireplace and the jacuzzi is a hit in the Visserman unit. Just one suggestion would be to also make the bathroom's upper windows glass for more privacy when showering, because of the laundry room next door or guests passing by the other unit. Maybe also just a curtain in the kitchen. Other than that, everything was great and they offer cute hampers to buy for a barbecue or breakfast. It was delicious.

Absolutely unforgettable stay, with the best view ever. We lacked nothing, and the house is very tastefully furnished. The hostess has thought of everything, down to a few luxuries in the house that can be bought with an honesty bottle. We can't stop talking about our visit there. The spring goats in the camp next to the house were the icing on the cake, we watched them for hours!
The perfect getaway. Make sure you book for more than just one night. Here you can stretch out wonderfully. The cottage has everything you need.

The dirt road to our destination was well scraped, the place to stay is so beautiful, and so private, we didn't even feel like coming home.
The Sonvanger is off-grid so you have to work sparingly. It's upmarket and recommended.

Beautiful residential units, with the most incredible views and natural beauty around you. The couple are the perfect host/wife and nothing is too much for them - making the stay even more special.
It was a fantastic choice for an overnight stop on our road trip through the Karoo. Everything is nice and neat. The only negative thing I can say is that I feel that guests shouldn't have to pay to fish or go for a walk at a guesthouse. It should absolutely be part of the perks. But otherwise 5 stars!
We only stayed one night, but it is one of the most beautiful places we have ever stayed. A big treat for us. Very friendly welcome and the house has everything you need for a few days' break. Would definitely like to stay longer.
