The double-storey house comprises 6 bedrooms and can accommodate up to 10 adults and 4 children at a time. The first bedroom has a bunk bed for children, and the second bedroom has a double bed. The third and fourth rooms each have a queen-size bed and a single bed for a child. The fifth and sixth bedrooms each have a double bed. All 3 bathrooms hold a bath, shower, as well as a toilet and basin. The main bedroom on the lower storey's bathroom is en-suite.
The kitchen, situated on the ground floor, is equipped with a stove, 2 eye-level ovens, fridge-freezer, an extra bar fridge, microwave, coffee- and tea-making facilities, crockery and cutlery. It also features a dishwasher and a separate laundry room with a washing machine and tumble dryer. There is also a kitchenette on the first floor which also serves as a bar area. This kitchenette is equipped with an oven, stove and a large fridge-freezer.
The lounge areas have comfortable couches as well as 55-inch Smart TVs with streaming capabilities. There is a dining area with ample seating where guests can enjoy their meals together. Guests can also enjoy complimentary Wi-Fi access.
On the first floor, there is a door leading to a balcony with a mobile braai and sea and mountain views.
There is secure parking on the premises for 2 vehicles in the garage and for 3 more vehicles on the premises.
The property has an alarm system, it is fully fenced with a lawn, walls and palisade fencing topped with an electric fence and is a safe and baboon-free area for pets, strictly by prior arrangement.
The main kitchen has a four-plate gas stove. There is also uninterrupted Wi-Fi thanks to an uninterruptible power supply. The TV on the upper level is kept running with a Gizzo lithium battery during load shedding. There are rechargeable LED lamps available in every room.

2 guests' feedbackWe were pleasantly surprised to find such a spacious, tidy and well-equipped house. We were really impressed with the facilities and fantastic location of the house in a very safe area and within easy reach of the shops. We thoroughly enjoyed the weekend and the children in particular had a blast with the large selection of board games available to them. We booked and paid for three nights and were stuck in Hermanus on the morning of our departure because all the roads back to the Southern Cape were cut off due to flood damage. We contacted the friendly people of Die Blokhuis for an extra night's stay and we were accommodated for free! Thank you very much for your selflessness Die Blokhuis, our hearts are overflowing with gratitude for your kindness. May God bless you abundantly with His love, His grace and His peace.
However, a cleaning fee of R2500 was a bit over the top. The garden is a bit overgrown. Drop off box for the key needs to be replaced. Also, the initial fee was taken out from the credit card. The owners of the first house we tried, were not happy to rent out the house. So the deposit should not have been taken out of my account as the 1st house was not available.

Please note that a garden cottage on the premises is occupied by a long term tenant. The cottage is freestanding from the house and also has a separate entrance.
