Beautiful cozy house. Walking distance from sea and nearest pick-up point, but driving distance from swimming beach. Games in the closet for the rainy days was a winner.

"Die Blou Huisie (December 2022 - January 2023)."

We went to “Die Blou Huisie” for the first time, with our furry kids. Where does one start? What a homely place to spend a holiday. The Huisie accommodated all requirements that one looks for (i.e. blankets, towels, cutlery, washing machine, tumble dryer, etc.). Lovely braai areas, one at the back of the Huisie and one in the front with one amazing view. The back of the Huisie has a lekker kuier area if it rains, and the front has a little stoepie you can sit at and look at the view. The house is very secure for your furry kids, no worries if you have to quickly pop out without your furry kids. There are two beaches within walking distance from the huisie which are both dog-friendly. The one is a swimming beach, with lifeguards etc. There is also a lovely pub and grill (also walking distance) from the Huisie, called the Dolphin Pub & Grill. There is a proper Super Spar, with all your essentials, etc. in Port Edward itself (about 6 kms away) from the Huisie, as well as Mac Banana, which is about 8 kms from the Huisie where you can go do some shopping, get a few gifts, there are restaurants, but what we can definitely recommend is their pancakes (it is actually a must!). We definitely had an amazing and memorable time, and will definitely be back again! We also definitely recommend it to other families, with furry kids. Thank you!

1. Location is fantastic. 2. Beds do not sleep well at all. Old and should be replaced with proper beds and bedding. 3. Bathroom needs redoing for sure. In a disgusting state. Shower curtain is too short for bath so water flows down on floor. WiFi network was not available all the time.

It was our first holiday together as friends and Die Blou Huisie provided a lot of entertainment and new memories that we could share together as friends. We will definitely use Die Blou Huisie again.

The neighbourhood was quiet and peaceful, it is within driving distance to not only the beach, but to any shops that you might need as well, lovely and beautiful house and area, would love to visit again sometime soon, thank you.

A comfortable little house with everything one needs. Nice view of the sea and the beach is within walking distance.

It's a lovely house. The yard is fenced, although not very firmly, at least you feel safer. There is a beautiful view from the house on the sea. When you enter the door there is a bedroom on the left with a view of the sea. The area in front and to the right is a large living area with 2 beds, a dining table and sofas, all with a view of the sea. Further down on the left is the second bedroom and next to it the bathroom. It's kitchen is at the back right and nice and big. The place was very clean and excellently equipped. Different chairs, board games, pillows, blankets, dish towels, bowls, pots, and even plastic dinnerware that my two year old could use. There are books and paintings and it feels like a home. The light from the neighbors was a little annoying but this can be fixed with blackout curtains. The main bedroom's one wall doesn't go right up to the roof, but that didn't bother us. The cottage is very well located between Glenmore (walking distance) and Kidds Beach (not too far). Kidds Beach was especially nice for my parents because there were no stairs to climb. It's nice and close to MacBanana and we've been there quite a few times. We will definitely want to go back again and again.

Very nice. Well appointed. It was nice to be able to take our dog child with us and know that he couldn't just get out. Only thing that was a bit of a problem is the ramp is not suitable for very low vehicles.

He said it was well-equipped, but would feel very cramped should there have been another crowd in the adjoining main house. Oh, and no privacy, the wall between the 2 bedrooms only goes three-quarters of the way to the ceiling.

My mother and dog and I stayed in this little place. It was a lovely experience. Nice close to the beach. The cottage has everything one could need, and was very comfortable. It is definitely a plus that it is so nicely fenced, so that one's canine child can roam freely. I might just suggest putting a TV in the cottage as well. Not that we missed one, but it can get very quiet.

It is very good value for money. The house is old, but neat. It is walking distance from the sea and has a beautiful sea view. We had a wonderful rest. Customer service is outstanding.

It was awsome to stay there and very comfortable. There is everything you need and is a short walk to the beach. It's also the first time that our dogs and children were able to walk freely without being on their leashes all the time, because the braai area is well cordoned off. This is a very nice place. Keep up the excellent work! Would recommend anytime.

The cottage is cute and friendly decorated and pet friendly. Will definitely want to visit again and maybe bring our four legged kids this time. Nice to sit on the porch and look over the sea.
