39 guests' feedbackThe cottage was fantastic - we really enjoyed the stay!
Was really a very nice experience, got a warm welcome. Everything was nicely shown to us, the place was neat. The bed may just need to be replaced.
It was a great getaway, and we were amazed at how quiet and peaceful it was, so close to the city! It is truly a 'bush' experience. Moreover, we were received kindly. And we had a nice walk with our dog.
Lovely silence. All the amenities you need.
We were met by DC, our host, who welcomed us warmly and showed us around. The house is small but spacious enough for two. The kitchen is well equipped and everything was clean. The shower is lovely, and there is no load-shedding as they are off the grid with solar panels and generators. The bush around the house is lovely, giving one complete privacy, and the dirt road was not that bad. My husband also went for a mountain bike ride with our host. We loved our stay and will be back.
It was a lovely break.
Quiet, peaceful and private.
Our stay was very comfortable and a tranquil experience.
It was truly a bush house. You have peace and quiet there.
It was an unforgettable weekend.
We had everything we could need. The house was clean, tidy and spacious. We had a wonderful stay in the forest and enjoyed nature. DC welcomed us very kindly. And it was a bonus that our animal children were welcome.
With the silence and night sounds around you, you can't help but relax and enjoy a crackling fire. We could just hang out with each other and relax, not too far to drive out of the city either. Also had a nice walk with the two dogs. Thanks also to DC for keeping us informed about how to recognize the entrance and to Nicky for the kind welcome.
Great getaway weekend!
Really nice place to stay. Would definitely go there for a getaway.
Very tidy, water, electricity and braai facilities available, just an hour from the house. The Boshuisie is a wonderful weekend getaway for the 2 of us and the 2 dog children. In the woods, but close enough to shops if needed. Many thanks to DC who made the accommodation available for friendly service.
Just what we needed. Forest cottage with all the necessary amenities. Well equipped. Nice quiet and peaceful.
Great family time! Would love to re-visit the place. Enjoyed the bird life. Maybe add some antelope outside the fence?
If you are looking for silence without having to drive far, then we can recommend Die Boshuisie. It should also be the ideal place to stay for a few days if you need to do business in Rayton.
Owners are very friendly, everything was nice and clean and we all really enjoyed it. The house is really in the woods and was very quiet, beautiful and 2 nights would have been better than just one. We really enjoyed it! Thank you.
Value for money! We were greeted by 2 horses upon arrival. Host was fantastic! Cottage very, very clean and beautiful. Love the fact that it is completely or grid. My first experience.
Suggest having a bread knife, cutting knife and cloth for wiping counters.
Would love to have a larger canopy for barbecuing. We had a bit of wet rain and maybe more comfortable chairs for outside.
Very nice and comfortable stay! Get exactly what is advertised! Rest, silence and beautiful forest around you!
Very clean and tidy place, friendly people.
The place is beautiful (very private), only stayed one night, wish I had time for 2 nights at least. Elize and DC received us warmly. Everything was clean and comfortable, there was nothing short. Thank you very much Elize, your place is beautiful, more beautiful than the photos.
It really is in the woods. all you hear are birds and other animals in the area. The owners are wonderful people who go to great lengths to make your stay as comfortable and peaceful as possible. Will definitely recommend the place and visit again and again! If you want to get away from technology and the noise and hustle and bustle of the city, this is the perfect place.
Ideal for a nice break to a quiet and peaceful little house in the woods. Friendly reception and service. Well and neatly equipped. Close to Cullinan for excursions. Exactly what the name says.
Very cute, clean and tidy house with everything you need for a peaceful break. Good security and friendly help from owner. We really enjoyed the visit and will definitely be visiting.
It's the nicest thing to be able to light a fire and grill some nice meat after a busy week. The Boshuisie just made this experience even better.
Stay was relaxing and did get the bush feel, and a nice walking trail. The bedding however as well as the towels and dish towel in the kitchen did not smell clean. The toilet could have done with some bleach or something to make it smell fresh. The toilet sprays and dishwashing liquid was empty. Other than that we had a nice stay and our pets also had a great time.
It was lovely and secluded and relaxing.
We thoroughly enjoyed the stay. The tranquility in a forest, away from the hustle and bustle of the city was wonderful. Thanks DC.
My son and I had a great time relaxing with just nature and a campfire. A bit secluded but that's why we chose it. However, it is very close to everything Rayton and Cullinan has to offer. Elize and DC, owners of Die Boshuisie, are very friendly and happy to help where needed.
Place is neat and clean but remote with a dirt road to drive to Cullinan or Rayton for grocery shopping or eating out. Sleeping place is not arranged for group bookings, but rather household of 3 or 4. Owner went out of his way to get the sleeping place arranged for us as three men. Would recommend they invest in 2 single bed mattresses for the future to facilitate sleeping. A big plus for the Boshuisie is that you have solar power and a gas geyser and are therefore in no way affected by load shedding. Internet very poor and no TVs.
See stars.
The Boshuisie itself is beautiful - clean, tidy and very peaceful. But the last 4.5 km is terribly washed out, full of ditches and holes with a lot of water, so that you can only get through with a low car. At a large pool of water this car floated and we were all very distressed. The directions are also not 100% with the GPS. Maybe because of rough dirt road.
A bit difficult to find the place, there is no sign on the gate, bad dirt road. Call ahead and arrange to get the hostess at the gate, she must open with a remote control.
The owners went out of their way to specially bring us wood so we could hang out by the fire after the function. For us it was very nice to stay at a house like this in the forest - wonderful to wake up to all the bird sounds! We would love to come and stay there again, and then for a whole weekend.
Would just appreciate more heating.
