Attractions in the area include the Karoo National Botanical Gardens, the Golden Valley Casino, Tweede Tol, Mountain Mill Mall, the Brandvlei Nature Reserve and various wine cellars and Goudini Spa. Guests can expect to swim, hike, do wine tasting, go mountain biking and explore the 4x4 routes in the area.

The Damhuis is a cozy self-catering accommodation with lovely beds and bedding. Charmaine is a wonderful, helpful hostess.
No privacy, poor direction to the accommodation. It rained in the living room and came to the door. Very unfriendly for outstanding money while we are still there. Could have had a better approach, and not even an iron, jug, big bowl, or cutting knives available.
Sufficient accommodation for short visits in the area.
We slept very well, especially when it started to rain so well. Everything was clean and tidy and we received very good service, our children even had hot water bottles on their cots. Thank you very much. We will definitely want to come again.
If you want to get away from the noise of road traffic when looking for overnight accommodation, this is the place. Relax among the vineyards and enjoy the tranquility of bird sounds. Friendly and hospitable service. A bit difficult to find the place on GPS only, so use the photo directions provided.
Great accommodation near wine farms and wedding venue. Feeling safe and owner, Charmaine, makes you feel very welcome.
Owner must state in her advertisement that there must be no noise or loud chatter. If it upsets her, she needs to find older people who just want to sleep. Can also put in a mop and bucket and broom will help a lot. It was also very nice.

Die Damhuis is conveniently located near Rawsonville and the Slanghoek Valley. Very neat, clean and spacious rooms. Charmaine was very helpful and we received good service. Quiet farm atmosphere! However, it's hard to find the place in the dark; recommend that visitors do not book in for the first time at night.

Absolute bliss. The silence of the farm environment was nectar for the soul. Was amazed at the facility's layout. Much more than we expected and absolute hospitality on Charmaine's part. She is also a source of information on places to eat and places to visit. And with the cold wet weather, the indoor braai was used until late at night. Will definitely go there again to relax.

It was such a wonderful time just too short. Very clean, comfortable and everything needed. The hostess was fantastic, we felt so welcome. Most beautiful farm with green vineyards and the most beautiful mountains. Would definitely recommend Die Damhuis! Charmaine made sure everything was right for us - and even came to pick us up along the way. The open-plan bedroom/living room is very comfortably furnished, neat and very clean and we will definitely book there again!

My husband and I attended a wedding in Rawsonville the weekend of our stay at Die Damhuis. Die Damhuis is a safe and quiet place for a short vacation. The host, Charmaine, was very helpful and friendly.
Directions from the main road are not very clear.
We really enjoyed our stay at Die Damhuis and will definitely visit there again. The hospitality was some of the best we have ever experienced.

Tranquil scenery for those who loves getaways. The area is for those who want quiet and like the farm setup.
All that worried me was the fact that the hostess mentioned someone else had cancelled, so if both groups of us would be there, where would we sleep, although Die Damhuis has 2 rooms, but we would have no privacy, and we would have to share a bathroom together.
Lovely, peaceful, cute overnight and accommodation destination.
The only problem was that I couldn't find ice in the fridge. I don't drink, but my Coke and ice are important. The fridge worked but the icebox was then frozen and could no longer turn off and on and therefore could not make ice. It's not good because it can get very hot and others will also like to enjoy something cold. Not a good point there.

I would recommend the Damhuis anytime to a family with children or friends willing to share. The environment is absolutely beautiful and the hostess extremely friendly. The open-plan bedroom/living room is very comfortably furnished, neat and very clean. The private pool is a welcome relief for the hot days. I can't wait to go back to explore the rest of the wineries in the area.

Die Damhuis is a very neat place to stay over. The owners are very friendly and treated us like kings.
The friendliness and hospitality of the owners, as well as the location on the farm, truly make it a destination you won't regret. It is ideal for a weekend getaway, as well as an overnight stay when you are in the area. The directions to the accommodation on the farm could be better, but this is also part of the adventure of this unique experience among the vineyards. If there is accommodation, you should spend the night here for good value for money.
