53 guests' feedbackOur stay was so much more pleasant than we expected. The house was fully equipped, stylishly furnished and very spacious. It had safe parking for our car.
Fantastic, absolutely value for money. Changes made are of high quality.
The unit is beautifully furnished with beautiful antique furniture and interesting antiques. As architects, it was wonderful for us to see our building heritage preserved with so much love by people and opened up to travelers. The unit is clean and tasteful, beautiful bedding and just nice to visit. The silence and stars are a wonderful experience after a day's driving.
Really nice stay! Everything one needs and more. Roomy. Secure parking and nice barbecue area. Beautiful house with s.
We were pleasantly surprised and it was much better than our previous experience in the town. Everything was clean and tidy. Would definitely recommend and use the place again in the future.
Ideal for a stopover. Consider taking something to self-cater - not many other options (especially on a public holiday)!
Nice stay - shower floor just very smooth.
Was a great experience with a tranquil environment.
It was great! The place was peaceful and quiet and we were able to relax after a long day on the road. Everything you need is in the kitchen and the host makes sure you know about load shedding times. We will stay here again.
Lovely house very well equipped.
Hostess was very friendly and received us personally. All the necessary information about the "loadshedding" schedule has been provided, as well as enough lights are available. The Dorpshuis has the best crisp white bedding, we had a lovely stay. Would recommend accommodation.
Perfect accommodation to enjoy the Karoo. Authentic style and value for money.
Definitely a guesthouse we would recommend. My husband travels a lot for his job and has to use guesthouses and he was very satisfied. It was very homely. Thank you very much.
Thank you, Hannalie, for an oasis after the day's long journey. Your place is beautiful with everything and more that made our stay super pleasant. Thank you for letting us use your beautiful place.
Very nice stay. Definitely worth the money.
We had a lovely stay in Die Dorpshuis. Beautiful house close to everything. Very tidy with a closed garden if you are traveling with dogs and children. Top quality linen, comfortable kitchen with everything you will need. Confusion picking up the keys, but next time I'll know to call. Definitely exceeded my expectations! Will definitely stay here again.
We had a great stay, very nice town and clean accommodation!
The most beautiful restored houses. Everything you need to relax comfortably. Even coffee and biscuit necessities. Lights for loadshedding, very comfortable beds and a lovely hot shower.
Very neat house. Comfortable beds and clean bedding. Nice bathroom. I would definitely recommend the stay.
We really enjoyed The Dorpshuis and the town, sleeping facilities are high quality, modern bathroom, and all the necessities you require. Will stay at Die Dorpshuis again.
Quiet old character and well equipped.
Thank you very much we had a wonderful stay. The house is very neat and the beds are amazing!
Beautiful, comfortably furnished unit. Warm welcome.
We were kindly received and would fully recommend the place.
A whole house from Toeka's days to ourselves. Beautifully restored. Well equipped and Hannelie has thought of everything, even rechargeable light bulbs for load shedding. Everything is so beautiful, neat and tidy. Delicious grilled under the vine arbor. Pet-friendly with a nice patch of grass at the back and secure parking. Will definitely want to come again!
Would love to stay there was already our third time.
Lovely house with all we needed. Good beds. Nice stoep and braai area. Secure parking.
Beautiful, neat and clean. Electric blankets were a surprise! We really enjoyed morning coffee on the sunny porch and little garden at the back.
The perfumed duvet/sheets are not for me.
An evening in the Dorpshuis felt like the perfect summary of Karoo life. 5 star accommodation. Thank you Hannelie.
Neat and clean. Love the rustic look.
Nice and quiet and relaxing. Beautiful place, very neat. Will stay again.
We had a very nice stay. From the friendly reception at the front door to the delicious biscuits in the kitchen - everything was just right for the sleepover. The house's old character has been nicely preserved and the private back garden with nice grass and plenty of shade was a bonus. Would have liked to stay longer.
Will definitely stay there again. Convenient because our two dogs can stay together and it's safe for them too.
We only stayed one night but are very sorry that our stay could not be longer. Definitely our future overnight stay plus a few days for the future. This is a gem in Aberdeen. Neat, extremely well equipped, peaceful surroundings. So glad we discovered Die Dorpshuis.
Nicely fried. Wish we could stay longer. The Village Hall has recently been redone, and is neat and clean. Lovely beds and bedding, electric geyser with nice bathroom. Kitchen is well equipped with microwave oven, Nespresso machine and small oven. Secure backyard with parking. Would love to stay there again and for longer.
A wonderful little home in a lovely little town. it was the first time we have stayed in Aberdeen. The accomodation was perfect and everything catered for. Lovely patio with grape vine cover and had a dinner there under the stars. Beds and linen superb.
Very pleasant and safe. Everything closed on Sunday. No cafes opened.
The Dorpshuis is a real gem! We arrived and found a nice jug of cold water and cooldrink waiting for us in the fridge. A bowl of fruit on the kitchen table and even coffee pods plus the usual tea and coffee. Bedrooms with crisp white linen and super comfy beds. A spacious bathroom with a huge shower. Secure off-road parking. Even a little patch of grass my 4 legged kids could enjoy. There is an outdoor braai area, if you are feeling like a braai. Alternatively, you could walk to the Blue Cafe for lunch or dinner. I will definitely stay over again if our trip takes us near Aberdeen.
Incredibly beautiful and tidy accommodation. Everything you wish you had in a home away from home was to be found in Die Dorpshuis. The dog children were also just as happy with the yard was safe for them. I would highly recommend this accommodation.
A beautiful place to spend the night!
Beautiful house with a warm, homely atmosphere. Attention to detail to make the visit cordial with sherry, delicious coffee and a large basket of wood for braai. Go and have a delicious breakfast at the Kamdeboo Padstal. Thank you Hannelie, we will visit again soon!
So comfortable and a great location right by the church. Hanelie is so thoughtful and really makes an effort.
Clean and tidy house in the Karoo that has been redone with taste and style. Lots of attention to detail, lovely porch with barbecue area. Everything clean and tidy with quality bedding and bathroom. Too bad we could only sleep there one night. Will definitely visit again! Secure parking and a great atmosphere. Thank you very much.
The hosts were concerned about our safety during the storm on the way there.
What a small avg. Very cute place for an overnight stay, with all the extra necessities. Will definitely book him again.
Spacious. All the comforts one needs. Thank you for the yummy homemade rusks.
Beautiful, neat place. Sorry it's so small and can only accommodate 4 people in the end. The owners really deserve a thumbs up. Everything was in its place.
House is spacious, neat and clean. Secure parking.
Thank you Dirk and Hannelie for an incredible time in Aberdeen. Your place is one of the best we have ever stayed at. Your focus on detail and the provision of everything you need is greatly appreciated. Your place is a very nice oasis in the Karoo.
Good guest house and excellent hostess.
On our 21 day motorbike tour we were overwhelmed with hospitality at Die Dorpshuis. Good meat and grilled cake are just what one needs to feel at home. Thank you very much!
Could have Wifi. But that might increase the price, and it wasn’t strictly necessary.
