Yes, the house is tidy. The welcome drink was a delightful experience. There is a lot of trouble such as the fruit in the kitchen and the bucket for the ashes which are clearly marked.

The Jacobsdaller exceeded our wildest expectations! It was good value for money. Everything you need is there and the place is clean and beautiful.
My elderly mother and I had a very nice stay. The unit had everything we could possibly want to use during the short visit. We were welcomed with two glasses of wine and even sweets on the bed. Even the wood for the first braai was already packed and the wood for this is free. The bedding and towels were clean and smelled nice and fresh. My mother slept in the bedroom and I slept in the braai room/porch on the sofa that can be converted into a bed. I also received clean fresh bedding and pillows for this. All that bothered me at all is the outside light next to the porch room (which is on all night for security reasons) which is higher than the other lights around the house on the wall and shines through the window onto the sofa bed. There is no curtain at that window. The porch was therefore lit up all night which made it difficult to sleep there. Apparently I'm the very first person to experience this as a problem. If the light is at the same height as the other outdoor lights, it will only illuminate the upper part of the wall where the built-in braai is and not the main part of the porch room.
The bed was uncomfortable. The barbecue smoked terribly.
This is our second time here, will come back again. Good value for money and definitely a great place to have a rest!

The accommodation is beautiful and very well laid out and equipped with everything you could need. Extra blankets, microwave, stove, oven, dishwasher, indoor and outdoor braai facilities, a black pot for potjie food. Nico warmly welcomed us with a glass of sherry and even went to the trouble of drawing us a map with a cycling route. The sun porch with fully sliding doors was great. Attention to detail was everywhere. Everything was spotless and smelled good. The first night's braai was already packed with wood available should you need it. Fruit in the kitchen and sweets in bowls on the tables. Biscuits, very nice coffee and some milk. Good quality soap in the shower. The full DSTV is not something we usually look for, but it meant we could watch the World Cup Rugby match.
Beautiful self-catering unit, with everything you would need for a nice weekend break. Nico welcomed us kindly. There was so much attention to detail. Little things like the welcome cup, fruit, lollipops, small mint chocolates on the pillow, were special. There is wifi, and the indoor braai was already packed, but remember you pay for the 2nd bag. Everything was new and in working order. We would highly recommend Jacobsdaller. We will definitely visit again.

Nico our host was great. From start to finish, always there to make sure everything is ok. From the sherry and fresh fruit on arrival, to the delicious home-baked biscuits and chocolate on the pillows. The place is so nice clean and fully equipped with everything you need. Jacobsbaai is such a lovely, quiet town and with the West Coast Mall close by, very conveniently located for every day necessities. Die Jacobsdaller is perfectly located close to the beach and a gorgeous view of the sunset. We loved the indoor braai, conveniently stocked with wood for that first night and the enclosed patio with stackable doors and my favourite, the firepit. We were surprised and so happy to have the luxury of a dishwasher with dishwasher bricks and a full fridge. The units was super clean which was noted and much appreciated by us. Nico was very welcoming and checked on us regularly, gave us information on load shedding and even had a generator to assist if load shedding was at inconvenient times. We could not have asked for a better place to stay and will definitely be back.

I was welcomed by the host himself and he had a welcoming drink ready for me. The apartment was spotless and even had wood prepacked ready to light a fire. Thoughtful touches such as chocolate on the bed. Kitchen basics like salt and pepper, coffee, tea, sugar, milk and even rusks to make you feel welcome and often one forgets to pack some of these basics for self-catering so this host definitely goes the extra mile. Nico was a fantastic host who made us feel so welcome with some tasty treats and even some braai wood for our braai. He went above and beyond. We enjoyed the peace and quiet with abundant birdlife and the sound of the sea which is just a short stroll away. We would love to return.
