Water sports and angling are enjoyed on the Meulspruit Dam which is surrounded by a nature reserve and is also the start and finishing point for the 23 kilometre long Imparani Hiking Trail.

The place is neat and the rooms are spacious. They allowed our little dog to stay the night with us. The owner and employees are very friendly and the breakfast was delicious.
I wanted to enjoy Die Kersiehuis upon arrival, I really did. I was received generously, the service and breakfast were good. But unfortunately, that's where the compliments stop. The ceiling of the shower was covered with mold, the tiles also had mold on them. The bathroom cabinet is black from the mold inside. There are watermarks on most of the walls in the room, and the cabinet doors below are terribly damaged. The place was tidy, but I'm sorry, the place is dirty and with the black mold it posed a real big health risk. Furthermore, they show off 4 South African stars on the page, this is completely false, because if you search for their rating, it does not exist. I don't expect moldy bathrooms at 4 star level. But it seems they are trying to pass themselves off as 4 star while losing the rating. They must be removed immediately and also from their own wall where the 4 fraudulent little stars are also showing off.
The Kersiehuis grounds are beautiful and the rooms were more than comfortable.
Every time I travel that side I will always, always utilize Die Kersiehuis. It is so lovely.
Ondanks dat er rondom nog gebouwd werd, was het niet erg lawaaiig. Het is een appartement in een flat gebouw, het is niet gehorig al hoor je natuurlijk wel mensen als je zoals wij alle ramen los hebt. Wij zijn zeer tevreden over het appartement en de ligging hiervan, het is 5 tot 10 minuten lopen naar een enorm groot winkelcentrum waar je echt alles kan vinden. Ook is er een casino in de buurt en op 3 minuten lopen oa een spar waar je lekkere verse broodjes kan halen.

Exquisite room although a bit cramped with little room to move around the bed, and guest house with comfortable dining room and outside places to hang out. We enjoyed a delicious dinner, prepared by our hostess, and breakfast was worth it. Ina did everything possible to accommodate us and wanted to call a doctor for us herself.

However, the premises and buildings are very neglected. Upon arrival, we doubted whether we were in the right place. It does not match the photos on the website at all. For the same rates we could have made a better choice of accommodation. Good luck, the place has a lot of potential.

This is a place to sleep for 1 night. I was not very impressed with the town of Ficksburg. I probably expected too much. But for the purpose we used it for it was sufficient.
Had a great stay. Well located just a pity no air conditioning in the heat. Fan was fitted gave some relief. Furthermore, we enjoyed a delicious breakfast and slept well.
