The best times to be in this place is in the morning, being around the dam with so fresh cooling breeze and one can take their morning jog or walk. It also has a braai area and the swimming pool.
We were kindly welcomed. There was a lot of communication to make sure we were safe on our way there as well as later in the evening if we needed anything etc. It's quiet and peaceful, beautiful surroundings. Neat and the bed was fantastic. Slept like a rock. Our 2 dogs also enjoyed the overnight stay with the nice large fenced area that they could also stretch their legs a bit after a long day on the road. We will certainly recommend the accommodation as well as spend the night there again.

The 12 km dirt road was full of water in places but we got there with our sedan without any problems. The hostess, Amanda, received us warmly. We booked food for the evening and it was very nice. Their breakfast in the morning was of excellent quality. The room was neat and clean. Will use them again.

Die Kuierhuis is highly recommended to anyone looking for a place to stay over. Amanda and Andries were really lovely hosts and the rooms far exceeded expectations. The rooms are spotlessly clean and very comfortable. We requested supper as an extra, and it was very tasty and is recommended to anyone staying at the guesthouse. The guesthouse is a few kilometers outside of town, but it is really worth driving the few extra minutes to stay there. We will definitely be back next time we have to travel the N1 again!

The self-catering accommodation for 2 people is tastefully furnished with everything you need. The welcome sign at the door with my name on it and the fresh milk and fruit in the fridge and cookies and crackers made me feel right at home. Had a great stay and would definitely recommend.

Delicious rooms and meals, with the tranquility of a farmstead. Amanda, together with her husband, is an excellent hostess. Her kindness and caring are second to none. The house and rooms are tastefully furnished and painstakingly neat and clean. The fireplace in winter and the accompanying soup make you feel like you are really on holiday. Dinner is served by candlelight in a separate dining room and the full English breakfast is served in a kitchen-like room. Paintings and old photographs decorate the walls. Tea is served on the veranda. Truly one of the most pleasant places I have ever stayed.
