Great place to stay. The owners provide excellent service and we had a great barbecue on a winter's evening.
The host received us kindly. Vehicle was safely under roof and at the front door. Slept well and the shower was a winner.
I had a great time staying at the Meerkat and would recommend it to anyone.
We had to change our travel plans due to vehicle problems. Our host was very friendly, helpful and considerate. He accommodated us despite the inconvenience. We were really tired from driving and it was sweltering hot. He went out of his way to make it more bearable for us in the terrible heat, unfortunately load shedding was not cooperating. But Die Meerkat is a peaceful place to spend the night, out of the hustle and bustle.
Host was absent. Place is tiny. Water supply was running. Cremora instead milk despite refrigerator. No rooibos tea. Just 1 roll of toilet paper. Parking under cover. Trash without garbage bag. Rock hard pillow.

Had a nice stay. Feeling safe. Comfortable accommodation and braai area. They are designed to handle power outages.
The spacious room is very well furnished (also a large fridge) and comfortable, with a wardrobe and shelves, and a neat kitchen area, as well as a modern bathroom with a large shower. The comfortable office chair and worktop for a laptop was a pleasant surprise. All that may be missing is a hot plate, but you can get by without it with the microwave oven. The convenient barbecue area with useful barbecue equipment right outside the door was well utilized during the phase 6 load shedding. The battery LED light strip in the room was very useful during the long darkness. Another plus is the secure covered parking.

The Meerkat was really well equipped with everything you need for a lovely sleepover. Layout well planned, I was able to dry my hair calmly in front of a mirror after a refreshing shower with hot water and was able to make us delicious coffee with biscuits. Really recommendable as a place to stay the night.

All that bothered me was some pump that came on every now and then, even through the night. Had a nice stay there and the reception was very friendly. The neighbors made a bit of noise, but at least they didn't party too late.

We were welcomed like family, even Abby, our Pikenese, received her welcome pack! The place was spotless, wonderfully cool and equipped with everything you need. Wood was provided and we could have a great barbecue! The bathroom is beautiful and spacious. Our bed was huge and the linen was super! The place is close to every shop, ATM and garage! The directions in town are not much help, as there are few street names. Perhaps this can be discussed with the owners. The owners are extremely helpful, answered all our many questions.
The owner is very hospitable and gave us a warm welcome. The apartment is perfect, it has everything you need and is very tidy. I heartily recommend it and would definitely stay there again.
Meerkat was ideally located on our route from Gauteng to the Western Cape. Carli is a good hostess and the facilities are clean, tidy and met all our requirements and needs.
Neat, clean and spacious accommodation. Carli, thank you for your hospitality as well as chocolate treats on our pillows - we and our two dog children felt very welcome as soon as we walked in! One can easily sleep here again!

With level 3 catching us all off guard we weren't sure if we would get a place to sleep. To our relief, Carli was able to accommodate us at short notice. The apartment was absolutely perfect, everything was so tidy and Carli really bent over backwards to turn our visit into a real Karoo oasis. Equipped with anything we may need with the "aircon" which is absolute comfort in the Karoo heat. Carli was kind enough to also let us know in advance of a temporary fuel shortage in Carnarvon and was able to fill us up at Britstown so that we could start our journey home undisturbed. A definite winner if you need to stay in Carnarvon! P.S. There is no cell phone pickup until you can see Carnarvon, keep that in mind if you need to get your hands on Carli early.

All that bothered me a bit was the smell of smoke in the area.
We wanted to avoid the N1 and take detours back to the Cape after our Christmas holiday. The Meerkat in Carnarvon was affordable and perfect for an overnight stay. We lacked nothing. The hostess was very helpful and friendly and the accommodation comfortable and clean. Perfect for a couple.
Carli our hostess received us kindly. It was a pleasure to be able to spend the night in a clean room with a bathroom. Everything one needed was available. She went out of her way and even put a snack for her friend's dog on the bed with our treat. Will definitely recommend her to other people.
