45 guests' feedbackThe stay at Die Pastorie was a home away from home. Aesthetically pleasing decor in each bedroom and bathroom. The farmstyle kitchen offers a breathtaking view of Caledon Valley, not forgetting a dip in the pool to unwind on a hot day.
We had a great stay, very comfortable that each room has its own en suite.
Place is neat but will need maintenance soon. Other than that it is value for money.
We had a very nice stay. It was an ideal stopover for us. We were given clear instructions for the keys so we were able to check in straight away without any hassle. Communication was excellent. The Parsonage is a beautiful place. Thanks for the stay!
The stay was lovely, the room was nice. The only problem was the bathroom, which we felt was a bit impractical, especially if you are not with a partner but rather with friends.
It's quite outdated and the condition is very worn. The duvet is old, the aircon leaks, the basin in our room was rusty and wouldn't drain, so water collected. The carpets need a deep clean desperately. Our daughter crawls, and she was brown with dirt crawling around the room. It's a lovely quaint stay but needs an update and some upkeep.
This must have been the worst place, I have slept at. The rooms and bathrooms are filthy and old. The bedding and towels are dirty. The noise from the road makes for a bad night's sleep. Maybe the owner must sell up.
Very nice bed and shower, clean with good WiFi. Maybe lack an easy chair in room or place where you can work on laptop.
Beautiful place, location is perfect, the place needs some TLC, the views from the place are incredible, place is good for an overnight stay, parking was on the street, which is not something I like.
I sent a message to Lekkerslaap. At first after making payment and Lekkerslaap confirmed we got a message from the owner stating she was sorry a family booked the whole place on booking. com and she failed to update it. She wanted to get alternate accommodation to which we refused and was sorry afterwards we did not. The family of 6 toom up the whole kit hen which left us eating out rather. We were never told its a communal kitchen. There was a other couple with a big son in one room. The conditions was appauling. Couches was dirty, a small little TV just in the lounge. We basically just used the room to sleep. Because we felt like intruders and so did the couple with their son. . Unacceptable and never again. Very disappointing 🥺🥺.

Very helpful and place was neat.
I think for a group it is ideal. For a single traveler decent. The plus points are that it's very neat and more than big enough. The people are friendly and there are sufficient amenities in the room. On the other hand, the highway across the road might disturb some in their sleep, and the wifi is not really usable. Vehicles are sleeping in the road outside, but it seems that's normal for the area - us city folk might be missing out on that!

Guest house was very neat and clean.
In my room the location of the toilet was somewhat impractical as one side was directly against the wall! For the price it was quite adequate.

Their communication was very good. The living room is nicely done, as well as my room's first impression was very good. The things that were not acceptable for me are the mirror that is in the closet - I can't see myself properly in the mirror in any way. The mirrors at the sinks were again too low for my husband - they can only be turned across, then he will also be able to see his face without having to bend. The bedside lights' wires are dangerous. I was excited to be able to bathe, but it says they have water restrictions which is not true. I wanted to put something in a drawer, but the drawers are not clean. It's a shame, because a lot of effort has gone into it and has a lot of potential. I am a light sleeper and the N2's vehicles bothered me.
Checking in was very efficient and the overall accommodation was lovely. The host let me park in their garage and also gracefully let me check out later as I had to wait for my daughter until late afternoon. Very kind! I would recommend that the couple of windows which are unable to close be fixed - there was a gusty, howling wind on our first night causing a most chilly draft in the room. We were diving for the covers.

The accommodation was really good but it was definitely not what we had in mind for our holiday. The guesthouse was not suited to our needs for the length of stay and amount of people (8 plus kids). No washing up facilities besides a small basin, there was no balcony which we could comfortably sit outside and the games room was advertised but not accessible because of guests that previously broke the pool table - we were quite excited for the games room and were not made aware that it wouldn't be available beforehand. This house is more suited for a quick overnight stay.
It was really disappointing. We were not notified that it was broken.
The Pastorie is in another class. We were a big group and it was a pleasure to have our own space. Everything was just as well thought out and we could also socialise together as a group. We will visit the Pastory again. This place is tops.

It was absolutely fantastic and very friendly people. The room was very spacious and there are enough books to keep you busy the whole day. It is also safe to keep your car outside.
The room was clean, but for the price we expected a bit more. The location next to the highway affected my sleep a bit.
I stayed in Room 2. The toilet leaked and a rolled up towel was used by the owner to collect the leaking sewage, causing the whole room to smell of urine. The double bed was as big as a 3/4 bed. No secure parking. No privacy unless you book the whole house.
We were sent friendly directions and information by host Awie and hostess Hanneke, and also warmly received. The living and sleeping areas are beautiful and offer the most beautiful view over Caledon. There is a spacious living area and fun things to do in Caledon, including the hot springs. Truly a beautiful place!
Owners were very friendly, room was neat and clean. House was beautiful and a pleasure to stay in. I can really recommend it.

This was our third time staying in Caledon for a wedding, but first time at Die Pastorie, and we would definitely make this our go-to stay again in the future. Great guesthouse, neat, beautiful, clean and slept warmly.
The big room's (luxury unit) shower is blocked, no one told us about it.

We had a lovely stay and children were not part of the plan, but plans changed and we had to take them along. The moment we arrived, my son said "Mommy this is the best guesthouse ever". Would gladly recommend. Child friendly and convenient and affordable. Thank you, oom and tannie.
To be honest we didnt realise when booking that we would be staying in someone's home, but it was so warm and the home is lovely and the accommodation was comfortable and clean.

The parsonage is a neat, spacious residence. There is a nice braai area for guests staying longer, as well as a swimming pool. But unfortunately our bathroom was separate from the room which made it very uncomfortable. For light sleepers, traffic (highway right next to house) will make for a sleepless night! Thank you.
Disappointed with the condition of the guesthouse. Doesn't look and feel clean and neat! Cupboards locked with cable ties. Looks as if the owners live there!
