8 guests' feedbackWe enjoyed five wonderful nights on the farm, and the beautifully furnished house was perfect for our stay. We were warmly welcomed with freshly baked bread and other delightful treats upon arrival. Martilize and Wynand were exceptional hosts, making our experience truly memorable.
Lovely country farmhouse with fireplace and excellent facilities. Safe parking, the shepherd's cock that is your automatic alarm clock, and in the evening the sun setting over the mountains. No time needed, just rest for the soul. Very nice stay.
This was our 2nd time at Die Perdestal. Good communication from hostess, beautiful clean accommodation with everything to make your stay comfortable and convenient. There was plenty of wood provided to braai with, as well as to make a nice fire. It makes the house nice and warm and is cozy to sit at the table and visit in front of the fire. We were spoiled with lots of extra goodies such as a fresh bun, jam and biscuits. It was lovely, thank you very much. Die Perdestal is very conveniently located for day trips to Waenhuiskrans, also known as Arniston, and L'Agulhas. The farm animals such as the horses, cows, sheep and piglets were a pleasure to interact with. We really enjoyed our time at the farm, and we will go back again. Sunrise and sunset were beautiful. We can recommend Die Perdestal as excellent accommodation.
This cottage was perfect and I love that it's pet-friendly - my lab was welcomed as warmly as I was! The hosts are incredibly friendly, thoughtful, and really care about making your stay special. Everything you need has been thought about. And the bread, homemade and hand-delivered, was an extra-special touch (and delicious). The bed was comfy, the WiFi was excellent, and the peace and tranquillity on the farm was wonderful. Sitting on the stoep with a cup of coffee, watching the farm activities was a favourite spot, where you can't help but relax into 'country life'. It's close enough for a quick trip to town but you won't want to leave this place! I'll definitely be back.
The Horse Stable is located in Napier, making it the ideal starting point for exploring the area. The accommodation consists of an open plan area where there is the lounge, dining room, kitchen and fireplace/barbecue area. There was dish soap, washcloths and drying cloths by the sink in the kitchen. The kitchen is equipped with new electrical equipment: fridge, microwave oven, kettle, toaster, beautiful crockery and has everything to make your stay comfortable. The dining room table is right next to the fireplace/barbecue area, making it a great place to hang out. Wood was provided, but we took our own wood with us. The unit opens onto a large veranda with a table and chairs to sit and eat, if you want to sit outside, or just to admire the scenery. The door opens completely to open up the entire living area. You almost feel like you are sitting outside, yet inside. The bedroom has 2 single beds and an en-suite bathroom with a shower, sink and toilet. Hand soap was provided at the sink. The shower head may be replaced for a more enjoyable shower experience and water control. The gas geyser ensured that there was always scalding hot water for showers and dishes. Tea, coffee, sugar and milk were provided, but we brought our own. Free WiFi was available and worked well. We were spoiled with a freshly baked bun, butter and fig jam that the hostess made herself, as well as cookies in the fridge. It was delicious and was so hospitable of the hostess to make our experience unique and pleasant. Note: The water comes from a river and may appear brown. There was indeed a container with drinking water provided. We brought our own bottled water. We really enjoyed our weekend and we can recommend Die Perdestal for an excellent experience, and we will be back again soon. The accommodation is pet friendly and the whole area is fenced, keeping your pooch safe. You can also park your car right in front of the unit which makes packing and unpacking convenient. It was a wonderful weekend that we will not soon forget.
Lovely stay with a nice crackling fire. Only thing missing was a bottle opener. Got a nice home-baked bun and fig jam. Delicious!
Beautiful cottage with all the necessary facilities - and a little something extra for the treat. The fresh farm bread with butter and jam on our arrival was just what we needed after a long day. The house is practically and tastefully furnished. The braai wood was unfortunately wet, but fortunately the town is only 5 km away for Plan B.
