There are various activities in the vicinity like Montagu Springs's hot springs which is 50 km away and Aquila Game Reserve which is only 40 km away.

Very nice. Everything you need and more.
Dorina, was and is an excellent, warm, and kind woman who made us feel so welcome. The cottage has everything you could possibly need, it is so comfortable and we felt so at home. Everything was nice and clean and fresh. She spoiled us with fresh farm bread, biscuits, cookies, jam and much more. The only comment is that there is no mobile phone reception at the cottage and the WiFi only works if you walk a little way from the cottage, but if you want to have a good rest then it doesn't bother you.
The hostess was very kind and generous, looking after us very well and making sure we always had what we needed.
Everything was great except the WiFi signal. Indoors, it was too weak and only strong enough closer to the building at the entrance gate. It would be nice if there was a sign on the side of the road to the entrance gate.
Playback from Wayback, what a stunning home with modern amenities on the inside. The host was very welcoming and friendly. We really enjoyed the treats provided and found the home clean and comfortable. On the downside, we felt that the outdoor area was exposed and a nice private little stoep with braai facilities would round it off well. Otherwise, a gem of a home.
Dorina's warm personality is one of the many factors that make the stay on the farm worthwhile. She shows interest in her guests, makes sure they enjoy their stay.
Will definitely visit again. Dirina is a great hostess, and all the delicious surprises are definitely worth a visit.
Here you see how simplicity is conjured with detail and pampering. Dorina is super hospitable and has thought of everything to make our stay unforgettable. Certainly the biggest surprise was a fresh, baked bread and delicious soup as a welcome. There is also an honesty shop with the most delicious home-made products and pastries. Will definitely go again.

Lovely little restored farmhouse. Attention to detail was superb. Fireplace inside was amazing as it was cold outside.
The house is such a gem in the dry, hot Karoo. The hostess goes out of her way to make guests feel welcome. The home-baked bread, biscuits etc. were major spoilers.
Some improvement on Wi-Fi would be great otherwise beautiful stay. Very friendly people.

Die Plaashuisie is a nice place, perfect for 2 people to get away from any kind of busyness. The drive to Montagu was a long way, but very beautiful there in the Koo Valley. Saw places and areas that we never have, so will definitely be visiting again. Thank you, Aunt Dorina, for the good service and all the goodies! I almost had to control myself at night, I would eat anyway!
Dorina's care and unique 'personal touch' stood out throughout the weekend. From the first message, the warm welcome (with warm farm bread, butter, jam and fresh milk) the beautiful house with the finest decor detail, spotless fresh linen, warm blankets and extras (cookies, biscuits, filter coffee and many more) to a personal greeting upon our departure. With the delicious homemade products for sale, we could take the nostalgia of the weekend home with us. The Farm House is the perfect break away from the hustle and bustle of every day to just relax, walk and chat for hours in front of the cozy fireplace. Delicious, soul-invigorating!
