Together they have nourished a prosperous sheep farm where they produce fine wool and exceptional lamb meat. After restoring the beautiful old skaap kraal, they decided it was the ideal place for a Guest House. The small holding lies nestled in the heart of the Cullinan Conservancy offering spectacular panoramic views of grass fields and dams. It was good and comfy.
We were a group of 9 booked in 5 rooms. Spotlessly clean, comfortable, everything needed for an overnight stay, nothing missing. The directions were precise and easy to follow and the load shedding schedule welcome, we were able to plan around it.
It was a good stay and would recommend if you would like a quiet time away.

I was not expecting the two beds to be in the same room. I expressed to the host that I was booking for two couples, not imagining that the four of us would be sharing a room. A small room for R1500 a night for four people sharing a bathroom is a bit much. Plus, the only reason most people stay there is because of the proximity to wedding venues, but there are no accessible plugs to plug in a hairdryer or cellphone charger, and there is nowhere to unpack or hang clothes? There isn't even a towel rack or hook in the bathroom. Plus there is no one to greet you, and no reception.
Was pleasantly surprised with the farm feeling and woke up to the crowing of a rooster. Great weekend getaway.
The Sheepfold was perfect for us as we were attending a wedding at Kuungana Lodge so the location was very close and the place itself was nice and clean, would recommend to friends and family.
It's nice that there is no subscription point. The kitchen is nicely packed with everything you need to make coffee. The decor is very cute.

Everything was perfect and exceeded all my expectations. I will definitely stay there again. Most beautiful place, hidden in the most beautiful forest. Clean, tidy, organized and really value for money. (I would pay even more for what I got).

I really liked the self-check-in system. The atmosphere of the accommodation is very peaceful and I would definitely recommend Die Skaap Kraal.
Will definitely stay at Skaap Kraal again. Going to visit we were in the area for a wedding and only checked in very late that evening after the wedding. The room was neat and we slept wonderfully warm. A lot of detail and love has been put into it. Next morning enjoying coffee and the beautiful woodland through which we had to start the busy city again.
Clean and tidy rooms. Beautiful view with a large boma and comfortable braai facilities. Full, equipped kitchen with complimentary coffee. Personally, I liked the fact that the owners don't want to pretend all the time that they are interested in your life and then try to strike up conversations with you all the time. Good value for money. They also provide clear directions for people who are not familiar with how to shower with gas geysers.
The Skaap Kraal is an excellent option for accommodation if you (like us) have a wedding in the area. The decor is beautifully done and the entire guest house is very neat and clean. The rooms are wonderfully spacious and the communal kitchen has everything you need. We will definitely stay there again.

There was no indicator at the turnoff, long sought to find a place. Not very safe. No personal customer service. The walls are paper thin and there is no on-site supervision to address noisy, drunken guests, feel like you are staying in residence! Very limited facilities and there was no one to let us out. Water was ice cold or too hot. Bed was made and pillows so-so. Instead, look for another place in the area if you want friendly service and a nice place.
We booked the accommodation for guests for our daughter's wedding. We were surprised by the beautiful place. Would definitely recommend again. The hostess communicated all the time which made it really personal. Thank you very much, Eloise.
The staff was excellent. It would have been nice if the people whose place it was just came around, ask how we are you doing, have a chat.
The hostess' arrangements with regards to the directions and collection of the key was very good and we didn't have any trouble. The room catered to all our basic needs and the communal kitchen is well equipped and clean.

Upon our arrival we were immediately showed to our room. Beautiful place, spotless! Very peaceful there. The decor really surprised me. Beautifully done. Ten out of ten!
The place is very neat and clean, but I don't believe it's value for money to pay so much per night if you have so much trouble just being able to take a shower. Hot water goes on and off all the time while trying to take a shower, making it very unpleasant. Also no reception at the guest house and no restaurant, and also breakfast is not even included in the price. Also no TV in the rooms.
The hosts, Eloise and her hubby, were very friendly and went an extra 100 miles to make our stay comfortable. Small details like a bottle of fresh milk in the fridge made our stay special. Rooms are spacious, clean and the beds and linen are of good quality. We really enjoyed our stay and will not hesitate to recommend Die Skaap Kraal. Thank you Eloise.
Very friendly reception. Bedding and mattresses very good and spotlessly clean. The shower would benefit from a regular shower head and door. This will make the showering experience much more pleasant.
