The kitchen is equipped with a stove and oven, a fridge-freezer, microwave, dishwasher, washing machine and tumble dryer, coffee- and tea-making facilities, crockery and cutlery.
The lounge has comfortable couches as well as a TV with a DStv connection. Guests are required to bring their own DStv decoder, smartcard and remote to make use of this facility.
The covered verandah, with a built-in braai, is the ideal place to enjoy the view of the dam.

Unbelievably nice and you don't have to worry about power outages, the owner has precautions in place.
The house has everything one needs, beautiful pond view, nice board games. The dishwasher, washing machine and tumble dryer are a nice asset. It is also a good place for fishing, lots of fish and pets are welcome. The fishing area is located very close to the house and there is also a boat launch area. Will visit here again for sure!

Absolutely marvellous! Accommodation is right on the Vaal River. Fishing was great! Our teen and puppy were exceptionally happy. Very peaceful. It's a very small town. We visited 2 pubs, Vertoef and Route 73. The owners were very hospitable. And our host at the accommodation, Andre, was so friendly. He made our stay memorable. Such a wonderful, friendly soul.
Nice fish caught, but short shade at pond. I want to be able to fish all day and not just before or after sunrise or sunset. It's a cute little place, but air conditioning is needed in the area. Solar power is awesome, thank you.
The owner is very friendly. Will use the accommodation again anytime. I drove through Oranjeville on Friday. Our fishing club had our senior league this weekend and I needed accommodation at short notice. I came across the place and on request he was available. I'm glad I discovered the gem. Will definitely use the accommodation again if I need a place to sleep for fishing at the Vaal Dam. Or even spend a weekend here with friends or family. The house is on the shore and there is good fishing.

From Day 1 we had a fantastic stay. The peace and quiet are amazing. The accommodation is top class, clean, tidy a home away from home. The grounds are always kept in excellent condition. Owner Andre has upgraded the solar system which allowed us to not be phased in any way with load shedding. I would recommend Die Vette Vis any day. We will definitely be returning.

Very nice cottage with awesome dam view, very quiet and peaceful, equipped with more than you need, what a bonus to even use a dishwasher, bunnies running around there and the pet pigeon that even boated along, having great fun supply. Die Vette Vis has everything you need for your stay. Towels, kitchen towels and cleaning supplies. There is a dishwasher and washing machine and tumble dryer. The kitchen has more than enough cutlery and crockery. All you need to bring is food, clothes and drinks. The owner Andre is very friendly and helpful. We will definitely visit there again.
It was clean. The place had all the appliances one would need and you could easily spend a few days there quite comfortably. Weather was great and host was also welcoming ensuring that we comfortable. Will definitely be booking there again.

We were 6 ladies who went away for the weekend. The host, Andre, was very friendly. The places are wonderful, right on the banks of the Vaal Dam. The sunset is beautiful. There is absolutely everything you need. I would recommend it to anyone to visit.
Andre and his wife, the owners, were so accommodating. They even built a wheelchair ramp for my mom before we arrived. We were welcomed by a friendly Andre and shown around before he left us to enjoy our holiday. The only thing we missed was a swimming pool as it got really hot. However the dam is there with a really well built jetty for launching our boat easily. Will most def be going back again. Thanks Andre.

Andre, was very friendly and helped quickly if there was a question, The slack place was very comfortable and clean. The visiting area was nice and big enough. The whole place is nice and big so the children could run around and play on the grass. Boats are welcome, just be careful of the rocks in the water (bottom). Thank you Andre.

I cannot fault this venue. View, location, accommodation, pet friendly and safety is all outstanding. From our arrival on Friday 19 March till we departed on Monday 22 we could not complain about anything. The host went out of his way to make our stay as comfortable as can be. The view of the dam is magnificent. I would recommend this place to everyone.
We were kindly greeted and shown around. The house is perfect for a nice break from the city. There is a nice stoep where you can barbecue and enjoy the sunset. The house is located near the water, with a toilet by the dam. Definitely recommend Die Vette Vis.

Thank you very much for an amazing holiday, Andre and his wife are so hospitable and there is everything you would need, we pitched our tent down by the water, and the children enjoyed the large open space and fishing very much enjoy, the fatty fish is clean, tidy and very safe.
