It was a great place and my partner enjoyed.
Great value for money. After spending the days driving around Hluhluwe game reserve it was so good to get in the pool to cool down before starting the braai looking over False Bay.
Are you looking for silence, away from the hustle and bustle of the city — Dinizulu satisfies! 4x4 vehicle is recommended.
Dinizulu cottage is definitely the 'go to' place if you want to explore Hluhluwe. The house has everything you need, and that makes it so comfortable. The owners are very friendly. I will definitely use Dinizulu again and again. Thank you very much Dinizulu for the nice weekend.

We had a very nice stay. Lovely natural old farmhouse feel. Clean and tidy. Air cooling a big plus. Have a great time at the pool. Would definitely recommend.
Basically just used as a place to sleep while the "Horings and Dorings" festival was on. My daughter didn't like the old-fashioned furniture, but I loved it.

Martie, the hostess was in touch with me right from the day I booked until we arrived. She insisted on taking us to the cottage which was 14 km out of Hluhluwe. She had left very useful leaflets about the park in the cottage which enabled us to plan our outings. So, we had a very memorable stay and were able to do the 3 hour self guided nature rail at the Bhangazi Gate walking amongst zebra, impala and warthogs. A big thank you to her.
Owners are very friendly and helpful. My daughter loved cooling off in the pool after adventuring in the surrounding areas. Very clean, well kitted out- there is absolutely everything that you need. Well situated to explore the Umfolozi- Hluhluwe park as well as St Lucia. A very pleasant stay and will go back when I need to fetch my son in the area again.
Friendly reception. Valuable information about attractions in the area. Helpful staff. Short but beautiful walking trails on site. Beautiful nature and (limited) view of the lake.
Reminds me of old farmhouse. The air conditioning was convenient. The workers and owners very friendly. It was great for our family to break away from all the technology.
The single apartment's kitchen could be better equipped. Vegetable rack gets in the way by the kitchen sink and makes washing dishes difficult. The fridge door sometimes doesn't close, don't know what the problem is because nothing we brought could have prevented it. The rubber may need attention. At least I expected that there would be coffee, tea and sugar, but these were not available. If I hadn't taken it with me, we would have had to drive back to town first to go shopping. The hot water at the shower's pressure was very weak and it was difficult for us to shower. The curtain in the room was not properly hemmed and simply did not look good. The host and wife do not live on site making communication difficult to report anything that is not right.
Beautifully situated and everything you could want from a self catering family holiday. We will definitely be back and for longer next time!
The accommodation is well equipped, easily accessible and the surroundings are beautiful.
We were pleasantly surprised upon our arrival at Dinizulu Cottage. Located among the beautiful scenery. We enjoyed the hiking trail and were surprised to encounter goats, black wildebeest, turtles, rabbits and blue monkeys.
Great place. Very quiet and in the middle of nature. We very much enjoyed our stay!
Birdlife paradise, sunbird heaven, birds-of-prey, nyala, red duiker and listen to a leopard call and hyena at night, then wake up early to find the leopard tracks on the property, it 's a rush! Hluhluwe is fairly central to visit Maputaland.
The cottage is very spacious, well equipped and furnished in an antique style. It offers very affordable accommodation and for birding and fishing enthusiasts, it's situated very close to the gate to False Bay Park (1km). At the time of my visit in August the garden contained various flowering shrubs visited by various species of sunbird as well as a selection of other birds including white eared barbets, Grey Waxbills and Yellow breasted Apallis. It appears safe to walk around the grounds where you are likely to see impala, red duiker, wildebeest and zebra.
Our visit started off on a bad foot - the fridge wasn't switched on before our arrival, and with the terrific heat at the time, it took the whole night for it to cool. By that time our meat had thawed and milk had soured. Both aircons were faulty. We reported the fault to Martie the next morning and she promptly had them repaired, which made a huge difference. The light in the dining room didn't work and we had to replace it with a bulb from one of the bedside lamps. The cottage was clean and had everything we needed. However, there is a lack of privacy from other families on the premises, which we didn't enjoy. The kitchen door is clear glass with no curtain or blind and when the neighbours sit outside, they look right into the cottage. The cottages don't have their own designated outside areas. The bathroom is very small and, while it was adequate for the two of us, I would not like to have six people sharing it, which is how many the cottage is supposed to accommodate. Photographs of the view are misleading as the vegetation is so high that the lake is barely visible. Overall not a bad visit, but I doubt we will return.

We enjoyed it a lot and had a good night's rest. Would have been nice if they could empty the rubbish bin daily.
The house is an old family holiday home and short work. With a little bit of capital, this place can actually turn into a great vacation spot. Some of the mattresses, bedding and electrical goods such as the fridge and freezer can be replaced. We were allowed to stay in both houses and the smaller house is more modern than the bigger house. There were two power outages in the five days we were there and adequate provision was not made for them. We didn't want to come back to the accommodation in the afternoons.
Wonderful place to rest and relax. Lots of birds ─ we added many new names to our list. Wonderful view of the lake. Cottage had everything we needed.
Away from all noise, very peaceful. After enough of Hluhluwe and other attractions.

We are planning to go back soon. Dinizulu should be listed by SA Birding as a birding hot spot. We counted 72 species in 2 days. We celebrated as our own lists were boosted by 19 species. Thanks to Martie and George that attended to us. The Bothmas.
Dinizulu cottage is a very secluded cottage, very close to False Bay reserve. Don't expect modern furnishings etc but a lovely place to settle in and chill for a short stay. Could do with a lick of paint.
The environment was good and the house was spacious. Everything was not very clean. The braai and kitchen facilities are very good.
Very nice surroundings/location/garden. Spacious. Owners are very friendly. We enjoyed it very much!
