Lovely little place to stay, I would have liked the unit to be closed in, it's not a problem for us as our dogs are trained and won't go far away from us but other people would maybe have an issue. They also have dogs on the farm who are super friendly and not an issue at all. The aircon was a big bonus! Thank you so much for allowing us and our dogs here.
Satisfactory and comfortable. Beds are very comfortable and we slept really well, cottage was clean, shower was nice and warm (gas can be a bit tricky if you do not know how to work with it), area is quiet, peaceful and safe - we enjoyed our stay! So did our 2 doggies!. Disappointed that there was no tea/coffee/sugar/milk, nor any ice/ice trays; and cutlery is a bit lacking.
Tertius was very helpful and friendly.
Extremely unprofessional, the place wasn't even ready when we got there at 15h45. We had to wait until 17h05 before the place was really ready. There was no ice in the fridge, and the place is very dated. I would not recommend it at all.
The peace and quiet. The sound of birds chirping and the sound of animals. I had a most relaxing time. Can I suggest more kitchen utensils and more shelving in bathroom.
It was exactly what we wanted. It was very cold and raining, but there were no blankets, nor any heater or aircon that could warm up. There was also only one toilet roll for our 3 night stay there.

No stove in kitchen, although photos show it. We were 4 adults. We had to turn on the kitchen's hot water tap to get hot water in the shower with a struggle. There was only one fork, two wine glasses and a small glass available for the use of four adults. There were no towels available. The accommodation was somewhat neglected. However, the location on the farm and the tranquility was a big plus. The owner was very friendly.
It was a lovely peaceful location. Liquid soap or soap on the washbasin in the bathroom would be nice. There was no dishwashing liquid in the kitchen.
We arrived in a hot Upington after a long journey of 8 hours from Worcester. Place doesn't look like the pictures at all. Shower did not have a shower curtain. No washing up liquid to wash dishes - we were on a business trip not a holiday - so didn't pack such things. Aircon's remote was gone - call owner and ask where is remote - says it's broken - he can't replace it now. Couldn't sleep with an open window - don't know the area so felt unsafe. Would not recommend Ditsem at all.
I love the place. Thought it might not meet our expectations, but it was more than we thought. Lots of space. Open space and just food for the soul.

There were spider webs. Bath and showers not clean.
Everything was clean and tidy and definitely value for money.
Just a few other points: WiFi means nothing, couldn't get online on three different devices, Very weak signal. Feel free to arrange a large outdoor bin with black bags. As long as the fridge turns on when there are guests checking in that day and pay attention to the shower head and bath faucets (falling off all the time). No one met us or welcomed us and informed us about how things work. But will book there again.
We're upgraded to a different room so wasn't what we were expecting.
If I come back to the area I would stay there again.

Bad dirt road. Not suitable for overnight stays.
We slept there for 2 nights, we were 4 people. The kettle only worked the 1st day, the 2nd day it didn't want to boil anymore. There were also only 3 forks and 1 sharp knife, so not enough for all 4 guests. They advertise WiFi, but we didn't pick up WiFi on our phones to connect to at all. They also advertise feather blankets, but we didn't get feather blankets on the beds. Furthermore, it was nice and private.
The fridge was not switched on. There was no hot water, had to struggle to get gas geyser going.
The farm and facilities are neglected.
Indication of farm weak. Had to ask for towels cutlery and glasses. Don't feel you can use closets. Thin blankets on beds. Grass found in 1 bed. No coffee or tea. Refrigerator was not on. Photos of unit and where we stayed big difference. Power was off at 12 o'clock at night. Not to recommend.
Roof sheets are loose, with wind we listened to a noise all night. Towels very old! Windows dirty and curtains could not close everywhere. Really sorry to let you know it's really not up to standard.
The place needs a lot of attention for sure. Not clean and tidy at all.
The road is not accessible to a car, and the directions are inadequate. The power was turned off at night, causing inconvenience. There were not even toilet rolls provided, we had to ask.

Thank you owner for moving us to the cottage at the same price. Yes, it is very affordable accommodation, but still needs to be maintained.
I will not go there again. The bath was dirty, the dishcloths in the kitchen were dirty and so was the sink. At least the bed slept well and the aircon was lovely.
We were not very happy with the accommodation. Not clean at all, aircon works with a pipe out of an open window and then the bugs eat you up. Host immediately told us about his terribly high electricity bill. We have our own problems, we don't want to hear about his. We want to get away from our own problems.
