Nothing special. No secure parking for residents. Nobody told us to book for breakfast. Left without breakfast. No or poor toiletries. Other visitors made so much noise we could not sleep. Bad experience.
Visited Port Alfred to buy a retirement home, but it wasn't very successful.
Pleasant stay and affordable.
I enjoyed staying there, I'm definitely coming back and I can recommend anyone for stay there. Dockside Guest House, you deserve 5 stars.
Very nice weekend we had as a family.
Neat, clean and beautiful view. However, we were a little disappointed when we were informed on arrival that our booked rooms had been changed. With 2 children (respectively 23 and 14 years old), we just had to change sleeping arrangements, to Father and son and Mother and daughter. The 2 rooms were also on different floors.
We were 9 people, had the whole house to ourselves. Pat was very accommodating, she often gave us ideas of where to go and what to do. The house itself was not very clean, if you walked barefoot your feet were pitch black. Pat allowed us to stay "self catering". She brought us board games and lent us a cooler box. We all had a lovely time. The view was breathtaking. The house is a bit far from the beach, quite a steep walk to get to the beach. All in all, it was a lovely holiday.

We were fortunate to get a room that was very spacious with dressing and bathroom separate and a wooden deck with table and chairs from which we could appreciate the view. The room has a large window that opens onto the wooden deck. The kitchen where we could make coffee is outside the room. Only problem, you don't have a private entrance to the room, you have to go through the house between other guests to your room. On the contrary, there is only one entrance door that all guests must use. Breakfast is not included in your stay as mentioned.
Pat, you were so awesome. Thank you for all your sight-seeing advice and the resturant you suggested was really good. The rooms were clean and beautiful - we would love to return to this beautiful accommodation next year.
The reception was friendly, the room was convenient and the view over the marina was beautiful.
