42 guests' feedbackWe loved Dollery House. Perfect for a family with children. Beautiful big garden, and safe and secure in a good area. We had everything we needed and had a very relaxing weekend. So grateful we found it and will definitely go back.

Lovely and enjoyable.
The only problem is the water in the Eastern Cape, but that is not their problem. Diem Municipality will really have to do something about it to prevent that there are no tourists who choose a different path.
Very comfortable house and good beds to sleep in. The shower facility was disappointing with shower head letting so little water through resulting in only misting which was extremely poor compared to all the other places we experienced during the trip.
As soon as we arrived we had to find out that they were still busy with tiling. Found used condom paper under the bed. 2nd morning there was no water for shower. Ventilation is poor. Can do a bit of renovation.
We enjoyed our stay in Port Alfred.
You wont be disappointed. A lovely, peaceful, homely base from which to explore this lovely seaside town.
Though there was scarcity of water, an arrangement was done for getting clean and pure water.

The house is specious and neat. We were looking for a place to stay the night and this was ideal. Owners are very friendly.

Well equipped very spacious self catering unit in a good area, owners are very friendly, acceptable tariffs, I will visit Port Alfred often in future to visit my son at air school, will stay at Dollery house every time I visit. Only 1 negative point is that the front door does not have a security gate.
The interior of the accommodation is clearly not done professionally and there are many examples of things that could be described as "Heath Robinson". Overall, the place is "rustic" but is nevertheless spacious, comfortable and well equipped. The garden hose from a faucet to the sink is at least too crude.
Everything was neat and in its place.
The kept inside is a welding patch unit.
No hot water on arrival. Owners harassing us for payment that was made online. We requested to check out after 10 am on Sunday and a R50 penalty fee was agreed on. First thing on Sunday morning was a knock on the door for the R50. No TV as advertised. No thank you. No form of heating in the middle of winter.
Really enjoyed our stay at Dollery House. Comfortable and has everything you need. Lovely, friendly host. Will definitely recommend it to all.
