Struggled a little with the fog horn from the light house when overnight mist rolled in. but that is absolutely no fault of the guest house or the owners and staff.
Big thanks to Karin for hosting us. We will definitely stay here again.

It was very pleasant.
It was a bit of an emergency booking, and I was so happy that I could be accommodated. The location was convenient for my needs and the service was very friendly.
Peeking into some of the other rooms, revealed each a little different, but generally spacious, very clean. Enjoyed the relaxed, unstuffy and laid-back feel of the Inn and will certainly pop in again sometime soon. This spot is not posh (thankfully) but super enjoyable. We could sit on that balcony all day sipping vino and working through a baguette and bits.
For years I ran past the little yellow guest house that stood on the Promenade between all the fancy new tower blocks of flats. As a recent visitor to Cape Town, I couldn't help but stay there for the Two Oceans weekend. The Dolphin Inn did not disappoint. The room was spacious, neat and clean, the owners friendly and the breakfast delicious. The place has a nice feel and the location is excellent, only about 25 meters from the Promenade and sea. The Oranjezicht City Farm Market and V&A Waterfront are nearby, as are Camps Bay and Clifton. Then it is close to the stadium for rugby and the highway is accessible if you want to go wine tasting etc. I would definitely recommend it as a base to "explore" Cape Town from.
Comfortable place to stay with a nice breakfast with a view of the sea if you have not chosen a sea view room. Mina who received us was always very friendly. Had generator during load shedding so I could fully continue with what I wanted to do.
Amina gave us a warm welcome and was very patient with our poor communication as we rushed from one meeting to another. The room was lovely. However, the wifi was not available everywhere in the room and may need a signal booster. The bathroom light didn't work either, but I suspect it was just a dead bulb. The breakfast was delicious and Amina kindly poured all four coffees for my bottomless demand. The location is perfect and I wish I had more time to jog along the boardwalk.

The Dolphin Inn was perfectly located as I was taking part in the Cape Town Marathon. It was walking distance from the stage, which made it very convenient. The room is well furnished and very tidy. The owners were also very helpful and friendly. They didn't have a problem moving our check-out time and serving us a delicious breakfast later after I got back from the marathon! We will definitely spend the night there again for the next marathon!
A spotless room, caring and friendly service and a beautiful view of the sea. Going for a walk on the Promenade is always a highlight.

Had a wonderful Easter weekend in this intimate guest house with an incredible location. Walking distance to major tourist attractions. Neat rooms and good breakfast included. Sorry about the WiFi that was not available due to the Telkom lines and the cappuccino machine not working but otherwise an amazing holiday.
Sandra and her husband waited especially for us because we could only check in late at night. They were still friendly and we immediately felt very much at home. They also have a good sense of humor. Was really a pleasant experience for me, especially the morning around the breakfast table which had so much atmosphere.

Me and my daughter spent the weekend at Gun Run Dolphin Inn. Lovely, homelike atmosphere. Everything perfect, from the friendly service, to the lovely breakfast and accommodation. Perfect location within walking distance of heaps of activities and the Waterfront. Very friendly and helpful owners and staff, and the cute cat was a bonus!
