We absolutely loved our stay in the Sunset apartment. We sat on the patio, literally a stone's throw away from the vineyard, watching the sunset. The unit is spacious and well-equipped. It is cleaned daily, and we were even spoiled with a fresh set of towels on our second day. The host is a wonderful person, and we received valuable information and recommendations. Our dogs got along with their wonderfully socialised ridgebacks. What a pleasure it was to visit the accommodation. Even their wines are great!
Love that it wasn't so far away from town if we needed to pick up anything.
The owner is so friendly. The venue is amazing, the view breathtaking. We absolutely loved our stay there. And will be booking with them again in the near future.
Very neat, spacious bedroom; open plan kitchen, dining room and lounge overlooking vineyard. Fantastic sunset! Waze takes you straight to your destination.
Our stay was lovely. The place is great. It was everything we needed. The only thing that would have made it nicer is a fireplace. But there were heaters which helped. :).
Beautiful view. Quiet, which was great. Only a few minutes' drive from a coffee shop. The dogs are very sweet. The unit was clean but could use a coat of paint and a little maintenance.
The dogs were awesome and very obedient. I really enjoyed the sun bag and the bathroom was very nice. The WiFi was a bit on and off for if you plan to work there. Dirt road is quite rough in a place or two, but my little car made it without damage (slowly).

Our stay was generally good, but there were a few areas that could have used a little more attention to detail, which would have made the experience much better. The apartment is definitely in need of some updating – exposed wiring, a broken handle and cupboards in need of repair are things that can be easily fixed. I suppose I can't blame the owners that the previous guests clearly smoked in the rooms. But I feel that steps could have been taken earlier to replace the bedding and towels that smelled of smoke. The dogs can also be a little troublesome. They are quite pushy, which gets worse when it rains and they are wet and muddy. Not to mention the times when they suddenly crash into the apartment door at night, giving our baby a real fright. The location is beautiful and the apartment itself is fine. Hopefully the stay will be smoother once some of the current renovations are completed.
We didn't have a bad stay. The house we stayed in was neat and well equipped. The surroundings and outbuildings (garden, entrance, main house) just don't look good at all. It is untidy and there is a lot of rubbish/construction debris lying around. I took photos if I have to send them.
Sunrise Cottage is beautiful and comfortable inside, but the whole place outside is neglected. There are centipedes and snails everywhere in the apartment. You can't walk barefoot and have to shake a pair out of bed before going to sleep. Outside it is dirty and neglected. Construction debris everywhere. When we arrived, my first feeling was, it's "creepy".
The only thing I have to say about our stay is that it was very disappointing.
Unfriendly, dogs jump up at us with muddy paws, blinders don't work. Showers do not work. The road is in very poor condition.
We enjoyed our time here and will definitely return if we are in the area again.
My husband and I went to visit our Yorkies for 3 days. The view over the fields was beautiful. They could run out at any time and do their thing. The small house is strictly for 2 guests. The oven and gas hob were beautiful. Everything was there that was needed. Please remember to just take your own hair dryer with you. The worst was the cold few days we chose. The spacious king size bed was a bonus though. Cozy and warm. We could do whatever we wanted as Domaine Coutelier is very central. We will definitely go again if we take our Yorkies with us.

Very happy with the unit. Really comfortable and clean. I just find the little garden in front of the unit very unkempt, the grass had not been cut for a long time which creates a bad first impression.
The apartment itself was very neat and tasteful. Unfortunately the grass was very long and uncomfortable to sit outside. According to the ad, on-site amenities include a communal swimming pool. I asked the owner about this, but he did not respond to my question at all.
The place has a lot of potential, but the maintenance falls short.
This was my third time at Domaine Coutelier, and over the years the place has become a bit neglected. The apartment has so much to offer, but it is not well taken care of. The owner takes a very long time to reply. We had problems with our check-in, as the code to unlock the door that the owner gave us had changed. So, we had to seek help from the maid after trying to contact the owner several times. The grass in front of the apartment was also very long. Furthermore, the apartment was not that clean. There was dust, and some of the cutlery, glasses, etc. were not properly washed.
I really enjoyed the silence, something I really needed, the heaters on the bed were best in this cold evening. It was something to look forward to when you had to go to bed. I would definitely want to go again.

Had a lovely night at Domaine Coutelier, welcomed by some gorgeous dogs, and had a pre-drink looking out onto their beautiful view before heading to a restaurant in town to meet some family. It was so nice we were tempted to extend our stay, but sadly had to leave.
Friendly service and Quint was very helpful when I arrived close to 10pm with our 4 year old, my husband traveled separately so it was nice to have someone assist me. The room was neat and there was a nice area for our dog. If you are unfamiliar with the area, you may have some trouble finding the accommodation.
The owner/manager can certainly respond more quickly when one tries to call to report a problem. Sink drain is also blocked.
The host sent directions and general information a few days before our stay. On arrival we were disappointed to see that the lawn of the private garden has not been mowed in a very long time. We appreciated the fact that the heaters and electric blankets were on to warm up the place. The unit is modernly styled and the kitchen is well equipped with a range of appliances but unfortunately some of the crockery and cutlery was dirty. I would suggest that the towels be replaced as it is hard and old. We found KFC boxes and a brown paper bag inside the large ornamental pot next to the fridge which made us wonder how clean the place really is. The host informed us that we could park anywhere else if the parking space next to the garage is too narrow but all the other parkings were taken up. The number of cars parked in front of the main dwelling as well as the wooden crates stacked in the yard, limits manoeuvring space. The unit has a great view and with proper management this place has so much more potential.
The unit was perfectly located on a wine estate in Stellenbosch. It was clean and tidy. We enjoyed the tranquility and had a nice walk on the dirt roads. Our dogs were welcome and although they themselves have dogs it was not a problem because the unit was fenced. We will stay there again if we are in the area.

The place is cosy. The dogs are friendly and intelligent and very easy to love. The views are amazing. Water wasn't on the first night but they fixed it by 9 am - this is the reason my rating isn't 5 stars. Would definitely return though. Had a wonderful time - Domaine Coutelier is a hidden gem.
The location was quite a surprise - a little far from town actually for business visit. But I did enjoy it anyway. Large, spacious room with all the amenities to stay and work. And I enjoyed the doggies' company. I also appreciated the heaters and warm blanket - it was cold up there! Maybe just suggestions: The towels provided can definitely be replaced. It does break down the visit tremendously. These are old, cheap towels and I was not happy with them at all. There was also no decent bathroom mat and after the shower everything was soaked. I know there's a big problem with guests taking the bottles, but wow, less than a quarter bottle of shower soap and no hand cream was disappointing. There were other interesting things like the linen spray. But the basics should be there. The owner is very friendly. But there is no bell or contact mechanism when you arrive and then you are a little uncertain about what and who to help you now. Or when you want to leave.

The nicest self-catering in a spacious, simple space. Clean, modern and with a view to die for.
It is in a very nice environment with a beautiful view. The accommodation is nice and modern. Big enough for two people but no room for children. Proper coffee in the room is a winner. It's not the easiest place to get to as GPS wants to make you take short cuts. The route directions on LekkeSlaap are indeed perfect and can be followed especially for the last bit to Devon Vale.
Great house, we had both of the interconnection cottages, fittings and finishes way above average, tranquil and peaceful, the dogs are friendly and playful. Just one issue and that is with the cover photo which is also a calling card, the pool is part of the main house, not the cottages. While it's free to use, I would have felt a bit awkward hanging out at the pool and invading the owner's space. I don't think it is entirely right to use that photo as the calling card. Very important to set the right expectations.
Unfortunately the linen and towels weren't of a good standard. Except for that this place was well-equipped.
The person who received us was unfriendly. On the bed was only a fitted sheet with a duvet cover. There was coffee and tea available but no milk.
Quint went to great lengths to make our little dogs safe. Very beautiful and peaceful. Definitely a place to recharge. Would definitely recommend it.

Perfect accommodation if you're looking for peace, tranquillity and beautiful views of the vineyards and valley. The Sunrise unit is spacious and well-equipped for a short self-catering stay. Quint was also very helpful in giving us directions to the property.

The unit we rented was very neat. The view was breathtaking. However, the main house was a bit untidy.
A wonderful place, beautiful sunset and rise, nice owners, great dogs. In the middle of the grapevines. There is peace, quiet and a great room, where you can open up all the sliding doors as if you are sitting outside.
